Ordered a chia oatmeal pudding bowl and a super green Caesar salad for breakfast and lunch. The oatmeal bowl was amazing! Great flavor and textural differences with the added granola crunch. The salad was not great, though. I wouldn't consider shredded iceberg lettuce and a small handful of spinach to be "super greens." Also the chicken had no flavor and some of the pieces had a rubbery texture. read more

Tropical smoothie......we go all the way back to my Florida days....when all I wanted was a smoothie for each meal! Silly me, but tropical smoothie always came through with different flavors to satisfy what I was looking for! Let's fast forward to the current day where I am just looking for a healthy option to satisfy my tummy needs....well they are still able to do that. They have all the calories for every single item on their menu listed. (Great idea so I can see how much in total I am having with my meal!!) This location is brand spanking new and so far so good. They at located right off of 22 in a new shopping plaza next to Auto Zone in Bel air. When you walk in it very vibrant and you may get greeted by one of the employees welcoming you in!! (Great feeling because one they noticed you and it makes you feel like they want you there!!!) You then May notice how they have a bar sitting, low table or high tables as an option to sit...well surprise they even have a outdoor area with benches to sit as well! (So bring a pup and grab a smoothie and we will all be happy! My all time favorite meal to get is the Carribean Jerk chicken bowl and a detox island green smoothie!! Just a warning, if you are looking for a jerk chicken bowl like we would have in the island...please turn around this is not for you. The Jerk chicken bowl from Tropical smoothie is more of a health version of the Jerk chicken family. The only true thing Jerk about the bowl is the sauce, but either way...it's delicious!!! The island green smoothie is a low calorie but delicious green smoothie. It's naturally sweetened, so it you like sweet smoothies this one isn't for you. I just love all the ingredients and the fact it's only 180 calories!! Score trying to be skinny or shall I say fit! When you order a meal it comes with a side...which are..fruit (apple, orange or bananas), slaw, or chips. With the location being so new, it's really clean! The employees are also very new so they can't answer every questions that's being asked just yet but it all comes with time! Even though they may not be able to answer all questions they all seem very nice and polite. Once again marketing wins into tricking consumers they're purchasing a true nutritious item. Everything here is farrrr from healthy nor nutritious. First, let's examine the "smoothies" that have a whopping 75-139 grams of sugar in them. Of course, their argument it's "raw" sugar lol... Umm glucose still breaks down the same way, no matter how it enters your body. Say that to someone with Type 1 or 2 diabetes after consuming one of these products. Now, let's look at the food selection, that range from wraps, bowls and sandwiches that are packed with 1200-2600MG of sodium, it's ridiculous!!! I should've known this place was bogus when I asked an employee if they had REAL health benefiting supplements like Spirulina, wheat grass or Agave nectar. I was looked at as if I was speaking a foreign language. It's disheartening and makes you feel bamboozled.. BUT I have to realize it's a franchise Thumbs down! read more

I had a smoothie that had avocado and coconut- Avocadolada - I think and it was the BEST! Tasty, filling and perfect for me. I would definitely want to order the same smoothie each time but they had other delicious looking options that I want to try. I love the way the interior is setup. Finally a place for tasty and healthy food in Bel Air. In addition to smoothies, they have a nice variety of sandwiches, quesadillas and bowls. I had the delicious tropical chicken sandwich which was on a hearty 9-grain bread. It came with my choice if side and I got the kale and apple slaw which I recommend. To drink I chose to get the free water which was infused with lime and mint, much like a mojito. The atmosphere was open and bright with bar and table seating. I especially enjoyed the tropical music. I will definitely be coming back to try a smoothie and get lunch. read more

I ordered a strawberry banana smoothie with white chocolate, honestly the best smoothie ever created. I usually go once a month and it's always great, great for a good summer day and very filling. We visited for the 1st time to your Harford County location . Our ordered was the Caribbean jerk chicken wrap with the kale salad and a jetty punch and a Bahama mama under the fruit blends. It was a Saturday, it wasn't very busy. The girl that took my order and everyone there was very polite. But I have to mention one person in particular--Justin. Justin prepared our food. I just moved to Bel Air and everyone here seems to be into smoothies and açaí bowls etc. Vut this place isn't the one to go to. This place is such a mess! They charged me twice in the app and then said they didn't know what to do with the apps mistake when I went into the store so then it takes a month for contact with the owners just to find out all I have to do is come in and say my name and they will give me a free smoothie instead of a refund. Well I went in told them my name and they look at me like I'm crazy and say we don't know anything about this. The young lady has to call the owner to give me my smoothie. This is ridiculous and very overpriced. Yes the young ladies that work there are nice but this is very time consuming and instead of giving me a refund I had to come back here to deal with this. WE LOVE this place. We are there at least once a day if not twice. Everyone there knows our/my name and our usuals. Yes, the calories are higher than one might think for a smoothie. The way I look at it... It is far healthier than most other things we could choose to put in our mouths. I feel good in eating there. I also enjoy seeing all the friends I have made there. I hope this place is a long-time staple of the Bel Air area. Food (wraps, bowls, quesadillas, etc.) are DELICIOUS!!!! Pretty much everything can be customized to your needs. Speed of acquiring your food, etc. isn't as fast as one would think/hope, but the stuff is made fresh. Can order via app and pick up in store. Worst tasting smoothie that we have ever purchased! We thought that maybe they just forgot to add a few flavorful ingredients or something, so we went back inside to let the management know about the poor taste and asked the manager if she could add something to give it some flavor and improve the taste. She replied "no" and said that she followed the recipe. (This smoothie did not have the same taste or even resemble the flavor as the same exact one that we purchased there previously.) She was quite rude and informed us that we could throw ours away and purchase new ones if we wanted it improved or changed to another flavor. She was rude and not interested in serving her customers. So I didn't get a Smoothie. Maybe they're good. Maybe the sandwiches are good. Don't bother with the Thai Chicken bowl. Maybe an ounce of chicken and lots and lots and lots of Romaine lettuce. A tablespoon of shredded carrot, some chinese crunchy noodles and sesame seeds. Shouldn't the bowl have as much chicken as a sandwich? Not worth anywhere near the $6 odd bucks I paid. Ordered online and had to wait 10+ minutes past the time site claimed order would be ready. Also ordered chips. I didn't know I had to pick these out myself...no chips any where near the designated online pick up counter and employee didn't tell me. The smoothie was okay but I was disappointed none of the workers had any idea how many grams of protein were in a scoop of whey protein. This is a huge problem as this cafe is next to Orange Theory and I'm sure many of their customers need to know if their smoothie is giving them sufficient protein to recover. read more
