Well, I started out liking the place. I really like the Blimy Limy drink. So I decided I would try some of the food. The cali breakfast chicken flatbread is ok. No really excited about it. I tried the kale salad and the dressing they add is horrific. But the worst was the wrap my BF got. As you can see in the photo the bacon appears to be uncooked and the apple has a warm hole. I was super disappointed when I got home, and BF could not eat the food. So I took it back. The young girl that originally took my order could really not help me. All she said was that the bacon comes there already precooked and she doesn't know what to do about the apple. I asked to speak the a manager and she did attempt to contact the manager by phone. No response. I left my name and number and was told 8 would hear back within the hour. Its been 7 days and I still have not heard from anyone. I attempted to call them several times this week at all different times and the only thing you can do is order online or press a number for a text link. So disappointed. I've given this place multiple chances even though I enjoy the smoothies (sometimes) there are times they can't get them right. The employees at this location give my experience a low rating for service. I've ordered a peanut butter cup smoothie before but this time it was liquid rather than a balance of liquid and a solid. I also had the chicken pesto but when I opened it up there was barely any meat and it looked pathetic. I'm glad the meat was cooked right cause sometimes it's like biting on rocks. 1-I received the wrong order, did not realize the mistake until 10miles down the road. I ordered a Bahama Momma with B12. I received what I think was a Beach Bum with artificial sweetener. I suffer from chronic migraines and artificial sweetener will trigger a migraine episode. 2- Also the young man making the smoothies was not wearing gloves and pulled something from the bottom of his shoe and continued making smoothies without washing his hands. Quality can be very irregular as there is alot of staff turn over. Overall, the price is a bit high for what you get. Smoothie King gives you a better tasting product and what seems like more ingredients . TSC uses more ice, less ingredients. However, there are no sSmoothie King stores in Leland so TSC gets a star for showing up. read more

As a lover of Tropical Smoothie Cafe and a loyal customer for years I can truly say that my experience at this Leland location was terrible and by far the worse customer service EVER! I placed an online order at 2:47pm and waited 42 mins for my order which consisted of one Immune Boost smoothie. Long after the pickup time of 2:57 I continued to wait. At 3:18 I called while waiting outside for someone to bring the order to my car, since the inside was closed due to COVID 19 precautions. The woman who answered the phone assured me that my order was next as they were running behind. 10 mins later I see a male employee holding 5 or so smoothies yelling someone else's name and passing out smoothies to others, cars that I literally watched pull up long after I did. I asked the male employee who the manager was and he stated it was him. I asked his name and he replied Tommy, he asked for my name and I responded, then he went back inside. Still waiting, I attempted to call again but the line was busy. At 3:30pm Tommy comes out with my smoothie. I explained that I had waited for over 40 mins for one smoothie. I understood that they were busy however I asked why orders weren't being given out in the order they were placed? Tommy, the Manager, looked at me, put his hand up in the air and said "I don't have time" then rolled his eyes and walked away. Not only was he dismissive but the lack of customer service was beyond appalling! I have never been treated so rudely by someone in a managerial role and expect more from those in such a position. If you can't take a simple question from a customer who is not being irate or even raising their voice, then there's a problem. Even if you're having a bad day there is no excuse to be so unprofessional. I certainly expect more from this chain and will think twice about supporting this location or recommending others to patronize here if this is the type of service being rendered. read more

We checked it out earlier this week a few days after their opening. Lots of healthy options to feast upon. I got a hummus veggie bowl and couldn't have been happier with all the flavors. The hummus was extra garlicky, which I loved and it mixed well with the smashed avocado. It also had black beans, corn, and rice, and pickled onions. Those onions were the perfect touch of tangy! Served over kale, spinach, and romaine blend and topped with lite ranch. Man, I was impressed! As I sat eating my salad, I couldn't help but notice all the other diners sipping their smoothies. When in Rome...we had to order one to go to check it out. We went simple and tried the Kiwi Quencher which is strawberry kiwi and yogurt. It was simple yet delicious. The Green Apple Matcha is on my radar though. Also, all their smoothies are made with turbinado as the sweetener. That is a derivative of pure cane sugar and it is named by the way in which they make it. You can substitute splenda if you'd like. read more

Worth heir smoothies being so big, my friend an I decided to split the Peanut Butter Cup smoothie and they even put it into smaller separate cups for us! I've visited Tropical Smoothie twice in the past and was overwhelmed by their menu - so many options! So this time I ordered a smoothie online through their website. This allowed me to take my time and see all the choices available and how the calories add up. The website was very user friendly and easy to navigate. I chose to order it so it would be ready as soon as possible. Website said 10 minutes. I walked in exactly 10 minutes after my order was made and the smoothie was waiting for me. What's really nice is the smoothie wasn't kept out in the open, it was chilling in an ice bath behind the counter so it was cold and refreshing. The cashier even double checked with me that I had the correct order which I appreciated. I got the mocha smoothie with Splenda and a boost of protein powder. Highly recommend! read more

They really need some more staffing you can tell the employees are rushing and overwhelmed. I came around noon for lunch they are rushing to take orders the girl messed up my order saying i ordered a three cheese quesadilla when in reality i ordered a three cheese chicken quesadilla. So I asked the person on the phone, other than the smoothie I ordered, what others do you have. To this he replied, "Do you want me to read the whole menu?" In a very rude tone.
