We both went with their junior salad bowls ($6-$8). Each bowl includes a base (greens or grains), a protein, and two ingredients from their vast array of fixings. Mine was a lettuce blend with chipotle chicken, chickpeas, and broccoli. My wife went for a lettuce base with chicken, sweet potatoes, and apples. Each Junior bowl came with a side of chips or cookies or apple slices. I went for a bag of jalapeno chips, and my wife went for a chocolate chip cookie. I supplemented my salad with a Spicy Chicken Soup ($3.99) with shredded chicken, roasted poblanos, and jalapenos. The salads were very good and quite filling, and I really liked the soup. It had quite a higher Zip Factor than I expected, and that's always fine with me. Our dinner ran $19. PRO TIP (And I do mean tip) If you want to tip your server, you need to pay by credit card and include it. Oddly, they do not accept cash tips. read more

I know that I have done more review do this restaurant but they somehow have disappeared. I would love to like this place but I can't seem to get on board. I have tried three times Because I love salads so much. . However, the pricing is just of control and I am not ever one to complain about pricing (especially with quality ingredients ). I ordered take out today while I am sick. I ordered a child's size cause I can not eat a lot. I paid $10 for a minimal salad but added so much more when it arrived. The toppings I ordered were roasted chicken, beets , eggs, and hearts of palm. There were about 4 small beets and 2 bites of chicken. Dressings are not even that good. I also ordered a cup of the tomato basil soup which was average at best. I have ordered three times through DoorDash and have never ate inside so I cannot speak on the ambiance but I am just not a fan. read more

I will ONLY order from this Chopt in person because they continually make incorrect salads based on online orders even when ordering from their set menu. Tonight, ordering IN PERSON, we told the manager (who was making our salads) a build your own order with tofu as the protein. He asked if we wanted chicken, we said NO, and turned back to the woman making our other salad (we were ordering for someone else who wasn't there). When I went to bite into my bowl, the FIRST BITE had a giant chunk of chicken. It's honestly pathetic how incapable the people at this location are at doing the simplest job. We've eaten here twice since my last review and my thoughts on them have changed. It's difficult to find a place with good salads and Chopt clearly is that place. They must not use preservatives on their food because it never upsets my stomach like other salad places often do. The only thing I wish they'd offer is smaller servings. I can never finish the huge bowl and it's not good the next day. This location has a 98 Health Score. This is one of the highest in our area which will keep it on my go-to list. read more

I would give it 5 stars but the price got me! It's a very interesting concept! You can build your own salad starting at 8.99 and have a set amount of topping but the bar was pretty vast and my choices seemed to be add one! lol the staff was very helpful and explained it to me but I wanted what I wanted lol.. it's a nice space with lots of of indoor and some outdoor patio type seating. I ordered the salad toppings then I had to pick my dressing.. choices were a little different than I'm used to but sounded very good.. I was very happy with my choices and they mix it all up in big metal bowl then into container for you.. even my sweet tea came to 2.50 I believe.. regular sized.. after all was said and done my salad came to just over $20! A bit much but a lot of salad for money. I ate half at lunch I'll eat other half for dinner... I have been to this restaurant a few times and the salads are great. You basically pick all the things you want and they mix it all up for you. The cost is about expected $10ish for a bowl plus a drink. My only complaint and kind of a big one for a restaurant is cleanliness. I see a lot of people behind the counter making salads and working the register but no one wiping tables clean. Table was a bit sticky, and napkins under the table. read more

Food is amazing. So is their bread that "comes" with their salads. I spend $55 on 3 salads every time I come in and they're ALWAYS out of bread at the end of the day. Surprised to see Chop't in Wrightsville Beach and it wS a full on plenty of seatings Chop't, even outdoor seating was available! And yet, pick up to go orders also abound as was diners in and out. I can understand why- most folks we saw were 30-something and healthy conscious seemingly lean barrage of folks. It was almost Metropolitan! The salad was prepared and served like in any Chop't in Metro DC except better! Quality of ingredients was top notch as was quantity, as if, the franchise emphasized the need to stick to it with gusto, as if they are preparing the salad for themselves! The staff was professional and the place was clean! You can tell they paid attention to its customers' satisfaction most important, quality of food was as good as you can see it on the ad! The only thing, if we really wanted to be obnoxious and find one thing to complain about was that they did not have the Omsom Lemongrass chicken, which was my hubby's pick during our second visit. Still, there was plenty of choices to choose from. And viewing all that as a whole, this place deserves my elusive 5 stars! My sister and I were looking for new places to try and we came across this cute little salad place! There are hot bowls as well as the classic cold salads, both options can also be made into wraps. They also have two choices of soup! I got the chicken ranch salad as a wrap and my sister got the chinese chicken bowl. Both sooo good. The one thing I will say is the portions are HUGE. We both ate not even half so unless your really really hungry or want leftovers it might be a good idea to share! read more

Chopt was recommended to me by a person I met yesterday (25 June 2021) when I mentioned I would be doing some shopping at the Mayfair Town Center. A salad for lunch sounded perfect, as some of my recent meals have been on the heavy and/or not-so-healthy side. The interior is large with well-spaced tables. There are also a several tables outside. The staff was efficient working down the line with the customers. I liked the many choices on the menu and I knew right then I would be coming back again. You can build your own salad or select one of pre-set salads. I decided on the Chicken Tinga Bowl - warm grains, avocado, beans, tortilla chips, cotija cheese, kale, and marinated chicken tinga. I later googled "chicken tinga", as I didn't really know about it, and found several recipes. One is with cooked shredded chicken that's added to a puréed sauce made with onions, garlic, tomatoes, cumin, oregano, and chipotle peppers. Mmmmm, I can see making this shredded chicken and making tacos! The salad is tossed with a Mexican Goddess dressing - a cilantro, avocado, garlic, jalapeno, lime and tomatillo dressing (again I googled for a recipe with the same name). I loved the salad!! Everything was so flavorful, especially the chicken, and all of the ingredients worked well together. The dressing added a brightness to the salad. When the salad was being made, I thought too much dressing was being added (I don't like my salads drenched with dressing), but actually the prep person added the right amount. I would say for the size of the salad, the price was reasonable. These are not your average salads, but more upscale and very healthy. This place is definitely a keeper on my list of favorite restaurants in the area. read more

The Spivey Chicken soup we got was yummy. The ingredients in our salad were good but they were out of the cranberries for one of their featured salads. We ordered the cauliflower rice but received regular white rice. We feel that the food was not a good value. We paid $18 fir a medium side salad and a small bowl of soup. The service was good and the girls were nice and polite. The ambiance inside at the table area was beautiful. However, it was so cold that there was no way we could have eaten inside. The employees had on two shirts and told us they had no control over the temperature. Only one table was being used and we noticed people were doing take out. Something needs to be done about this so customers will want to use the lovely dining area. We ate outside but would have preferred eating inside. We are not sure if we will go back. I don't typically go to a lot of chains, but I first went to Chopt when they had their soft opening (FREE! With any donations going straight to charity) and loved that they did a soft opening that way. The salad was great. The menu has around 20 salads and bowls on it at any given time. Most are staples, but they also switch up their "destination" salads regularly. All of their salads are extremely customizable. Don't like peppers or onions? No worries, swap them out for free for any number of other toppings (like literally 50+). I know most people associate salads with light, "rabbit food" but their salads are HUGE and I have definitely left some unfinished. While I wish they had more organic ingredients, they do post inside what local ingredients they have and everything looks and tastes extremely fresh. They'll take your ingredients, chop them up together in front of you, and toss them with dressing if you'd like. Bread is complementary (and tasty, though I often skip it). The one time I had an issue (out of probably 20 visits) they were quick to address it. Their employees always seem genuinely friendly. Their points program is great, too - I love their app. My go-tos are the Mexicali Vegan and the Santa Fe, but I'll usually mix them up with a customization or two. Pro Tip: If you're not sure which dressing to go with, they'll give you a side of an additional one at no charge. read more

Not a boring salad place... So I had to convince my teenager it wasn't a boring salad place. They have a great diverse menu with something for everyone. On the day we went I ordered the salad with falafel and it was one of the best falafels I've ever had. My husband is a meat and potatoes guy and even he frequents this place with me. Don't get me wrong, Chopt is my go-to salad place. In fact, it used to be a frequent visit - but it's become very inconsistent and, honestly, I dread coming in. Although (most) of the employees are nice and welcoming, it doesn't take away the fact that they don't know what they're doing. Every time I come in, it's a different error. I get the same order, yet every person I seem to talk to has no idea what I'm talking about or is adamant they don't sell it anymore. (Weird, they had a card stack of salad recipes so they couldn't just check that out?) I had one girl try to argue with me about it being an actual thing they sold... The usual $12 salad gets the occasional $19(!?) price tag... it's so bizarre. I feel like they need to be trained more thoroughly on the versions they sell. And maybe understand the difference between a create-your-own salad and an already-created salad since that's a steep price difference. read more
