Really nice folks here. You'll like the employees a lot, as they are good people. Clean store too. Tables and everything well organized. This is a relaxing place, and parking is more than adequate. Food is decent. I wish the meals were larger. Yes this is a health place, but us 6 footers need a little more. The smoothies definitely are delicious. Been a customer for years, been using their app for years. Now all of a sudden I need an app upgrade, there's a new rewards program, I can't log in, I can't change my password, etc. Since I'm driving with two disabled kids and just want to run and grab a smoothie so I don't eat crap fast food, and since their app isn't working for me, I called the store to order ahead. Got a brain dead store associate who didn't understand what I wanted to do, and after 3 mins explaining she says I can't place an order ahead. Wtf!? This is a pandemic. This manager was not having a good day, she sounded so annoying and had a very disgusting attitude. This Tropical Smoothie is highly visible on a corner across from the Chantilly Fast Food Haven illuminates with the prettiest magenta lights. There is always plenty of parking and spaces to sit both inside and outside if the weather is favorable. I've always had a positive experience with their service which is efficient and quick. I can always count on them to provide a consistent product that always tastes exactly as it should. :) The Sunrise Sunset with mango, strawberries, pineapple, and orange juice is my go to craving during the difficult weeks that make up the first trimester of pregnancy. This smoothie always seems to calm my rolling tummy and bonus, provide all the good nutrients I know my body needs to be the workhorse that is needed to create a tiny human. read more

I hate writing negative reviews... Almost as much as this place hates getting an order right. Had to deal with orders being made wrong 4 of my last 5 visits, plus a friend's experience. They also quit taking phone in orders, which has been inconvenient. If you're craving some TSC, it's definitely worth your time to head up to the one in Centreville Square. Much better staff and operation. For what it's worth, I do have a new favorite flavor combination since they couldn't make a smoothie right, so I'll give them a second star for that read more

Always mixed reviews about Tropical Smoothie Cafe as a whole. I just don't like to see mystery pumps and powders in something that's supposed to be healthy. Different locations have tasted a little better prepared than this one to me personally. For that purpose I typically venture to a healthier smoothie place for smoothies. However, tropical smoothie had expanded a lot and their lunch specials of half smoothie half sandwich are great (for less than $10- contrary to popular views this can be cheaper than the unhealthy lunch fix at McDonald's!) I throughly enjoy their turkey apple Dijon and Caribbean jerk wraps. In an area consumed by unhealthy eating options, I'm glad tropical smoothie gives a "better" option. However like anyplace, you cannot just assume a smoothie and salad is healthy in regard to sugar, carb, calories. Make sure you check the nutrition facts. I recommend the detox island green- although lately it tastes very watered down. Customer service is usually satisfactory and if you pop in at a time that isn't busy it's best. They customize to your liking (you can substitute any fruit for another free of charge- extra items cost more including adding chia or flax) Wouldn't consider tropical smoothie to be a fully healthy wholesome place but I would pick it over the fast food options! read more

I'm a huge tropical smoothie café fan so I was excited when one finally opened up in Chantilly. The staff is very friendly and attentive. I usually receive my smoothie very shortly after placing my order. My favorite is the bahama mama (highly recommended)! The smoothies here are more consistent than at other locations. Before the Chantilly tropical smoothie café opened up I would go to the Fairfax or Herndon one. Sometimes the smoothies there would still have huge ice chunks in them which was not okay, but I never had that issue at the Chantilly location! I also prefer this tropical smoothie café because it is super spacious inside with plenty of parking. read more

In probably go here too often. Young staff does a good job with the orders and preparing them quickly. Acia Berry and the Avacadolado are my two favorite. Not sure on the spelling though. Had the worst customer service experience on Sat, Dec 4, around 330-4pm. Ordered 4 cran truffle and 1 jetty via the app and when I came to pick up our order, the 2 chick - one w long hair and some nasty bird nail who prepped our smoothies- was just about done prepping our order and packed 1 of our smoothie that was 3/4 the cup full hoping I wouldnt notice. So i told her she needs to fix it and gave me the worst dry ass attitude as if shes doing me a favor. read more

Tropical Smoothie Cafes along I-95 between DC and FL all offer military discounts. Fredericksburg, both Woodbridge locations, and Stafford all offer military discounts. Have visited this location multiple times recently and ordered salad bowls only to get iceberg lettuce rather than the romaine or greens listed. Not worth your $7-8! Originally the substitution was due to the romaine lettuce contamination, but at this point it should not be an issue. I even asked employee before ordering last night if they were back to using their romaine salad greens and she said yes! Their smoothies are amazing so from now on I'll just stick to those. read more

Don't use the app in the evenings to order at the Chantilly location! They often close early at this location and cannot/will not refund your order. The employees say that they cannot give refunds to app orders. The APP will take your order and charge your credit card even when they decide to close early. read more

I visit Tropical Smoothie AT LEAST four times per week. I either get one of the Bigger Kahuna kids meals with a smoothie or a smoothie and a bag of chips. Went to the Daly Drive location which I rarely visit, their ice sometimes tastes odd. Ordered the Bigger Kahuna...menu clearly states that you can choose ANY 24 oz smoothie. The cashier needed help, I always get my wrap with light cheese and there's something special that needs to be entered so the person making food knows not to add a lot of cheese. The busy body red head who always looks pissed off came over to help. Cashier told her what I wanted and busy body tells her I can't order what I requested. I told busy body "I order this all the time". She repeated that I can't order what I ordered. I took my card back from the cashier, thanked her, and walked out. I sat in traffic for half an hour to go to the Centreville location. Placed my order; same thing I tried to order at the Daly location, paid, and left with my order. This morning, I went to the Fairfax location. Placed my order; same thing I tried to order at the Daly location, paid, left, and just finished eating my order. If you're going to hire know-it-alls, at the very least, make sure they know the menu. And since I have to pay for whatever I order, GIVE IT TO ME! read more

I having been coming to this location since it has opened. I enjoyed the smoothies and the sandwiches. So has my son. I love the set up and the outdoor seating. However, since there has been new staff recently, I had an issue with my order the last two times I was there. I order the same smoothie all the time but the last two times I noticed it was very much watery. I couldn't taste anything. The first time it happened I didn't notice until I got home when I tasted it. The second time I got smart and tasted it while I was standing there. Again watery with none of the flavors. I asked one of the girls behind the counter if she put at least sugar in it as usual, she got an attitude with me and said I don't know. I told her that it did not taste the same with her back toward me and said it was watery. the other young employees just looked on and said nothing. I am afraid to go back out of fear of getting another poorly made smoothie I will waste my money on and get young employees who don't know how to respond to customer issues. Poor customer service and maybe retraining needs to happen. I am very sad and hope a manager reads this and changes this. I hope someone cares to do something. NOT COOL! read more
