They take forever and a day to make smoothies. I have had to wait over 20 minutes on more than one occasion at this location for a smoothie and it seems to be a reoccurring thing given the already placed reviews. It is also a common thing that none of the staff have the bright idea to make the person who is waiting on food or large orders to park in front of the store while they get it together and then fill the other customers orders that are in the drive through. So that way everyone in line is not waiting on this one order, especially if you have multiple staff members. I waited for 10 minutes just to get my order taken and another 20 in line before I left. Why am I spending 30 minutes in line at tropical smoothie??And for this to happen on more than one occasion, it needs to be addressed. This place is a poor representation of tropical smoothie. tThe one by my house does not operate like this. The staff here is very rude. We were not treated kindly at all. I asked to speak with the shift leader or manager as the you g girl was so ride when i asked to please have the extra in the blender as i paid alot for the extra add ins for additional nutritional benefit on my cancer recovery. The girl said "you have to oay extra". I explained that inoaid alit already for multiple add ins and wanted the original smoothie olus need all the extra that i added and already paid for. So much love for Tropical Smoothie!! They have such great customer service and friendly employees. They always make you feel welcome! Smoothies are amazing. Love the wraps and kale salad! So delicious! For a small upcharge you can add a smoothie to a meal! Healthiest meal in town for a great price! Also they are very flexible about substituting ingredients in the smoothies! The app is great that you can earn points for free food! I hear such great things about the owner. The website mentioned you could get delivery on orders over $25 - I'm not sure if that is always how it is or a special since we didn't get it delivered Each sandwich we got came with a side - and Miss Vickies jalapeño chips are BANGIN. The ordering process was easy, the workers were all present when I picked up the food and told me how to try and better navigate the website to make sure the location is chosen first and then find the delivery once you're online ordering so it knows your location. They have so many options- between sandwiches, wraps, salads, smoothies...you've got plenty of choices there! Glad that I tried it. We had four sandwiches and all of the orders came out correct! Nothing like a delicious smoothie on a hot day! We went in the other day and really liked the atmosphere of this location. Very open and welcoming with pictures of the beach decorating the walls. I got the chicken pesto flatbread and it was made on a different bread than usual as well as being a lot smaller. However, the staff was super friendly and did their best to make our experience a good one. I wouldn't necessarily recommend going for the food but the smoothies are delicious! A go-to for hot summer days :)) read more

My girlfriend placed an order at this particular Tropical Smoothie Cafe at approximately 12:19 PM. It said it would be ready at approximately 12:41 PM. We arrive at that time and are waiting for them to come out with our order, but they never do. They even "completed" the order on the phone but we still never got our food. We drive up to their drive through to explain the situation and the woman tells us she'll bring our order out right away. She never does and we continue to wait. We go back to the drive through at approximately 1:23 PM and tell the lady working that we've been waiting for over 40 minutes for our order and have been told it was going to be brought out. The lady immediately brings out our food, which lets us know it was sitting on the counter the whole time. Our food was ice cold, and our smoothies were melted down. We were not compensated at all, nor offered a refund. I do not recommend this place unless you have the whole day to waste waiting on your food. read more

Just discovered this joint this evening on a complete whim! Me and the wife wanted to get a dessert of some kind, but we also didn't want to have to settle for DD or something ridiculously unhealthy like that. My wife suggested this place as a more healthy alternative, so I said sure, let's give it a shot. Well, they literally made my night, no joke. First of all, the mere fact that I was able to satisfy a craving and not feel ultra guilty about it was extremely satisfying. Secondly, their product isn't lacking in quality, so I didn't feel like I had to justify buying a lacking product all n the name of being health-conscious. Their smoothie was made to PERFECTION. Let me define perfection in this scenario so we're all on the same page as to exactly what that standard is-thick enough that it was milky or "watery", but still smooth enough that I didn't feel like I was about to swallow the straw while trying to suck the smoothie through it. Anyway, I just couldn't be more thankful for this spot, for the fact that it's local, for the fact that now I have a healthy option that I can always depend on, and that they don't sacrifice quality while enjoying all these other perks simultaneously. The drive through line took very long and when I finally got to the window I watched 3 different employees walk by the window several times before someone came to the window to actually help me. I went there because of a recommendation from my friend who lives in Clarksville. I noticed they were busy so I don't mind waiting, but during that time we overheard the manager talking to the employees about "getting spoken to later". We walked over to the waiting line and noticed that the manager was very frantic and not exactly paying attention to the orders that needed prioritized (i.e food orders, orders that were put in before others, food delivery orders) In the time that it took for us waiting, a lady waiting for an order for DoorDash asked to speak to the manager. While that altercation was being handled I noticed every other employees working hard to organize the chaos they were in. Once the manager finished speaking to the delivery woman, she went to put new gloves on. The gloves were the last in the box, and she was noticeably flustered. She decided to whip the empty box across the back part of the restaurant, but it was in an area that anyone waiting for their food could noticeably see. I used to work in the food industry, and I understand being busy and dealing with customers can be difficult. However, the ability to conduct yourself in those fast paced and stressful situations is something the manager should have before they're made manager. Discussing hair color, Starbucks orders, and employee discipline can wait until the place is less chaotic. The food and smoothies were very delicious and I was satisfied with the employee that ordered our food. First visit here did not disappoint! I have been longing for a place like this in Clarksville for 15 years. The smoothies here are so much creamier and way less artificial tasting than Smoothie King! I had the Island Green and my kids had the strawberry limeade. Both were delicious! The food selection is great as well, so many options, fresh and tasty! My son had the BBQ chicken flatbread, which was great! I'm torn between wanting to keep this place a secret so it doesn't get crowded vs. telling the world just to make sure it stays around forever. I'm rating this place again. And I wish this was a better rating but unfortunately we will NEVER go back to this place. On Monday 11/29/21 approx 9:15am my husband and I went thru drive thru. After waiting close to 15 mins to get out order of course we were rushed for time. My husband ordered the Mocha Madness and I ordered the Peanut Paradise w/whey. I guess we should of paid more attention but we didn't and mine was some sort of strawberry drink. I'm allergic to strawberries! I became itchy and I broke out. My husband had to immediately take me to the doctors which made me miss work as well as my husband. Well, while sitting in doctors office my husband emailed the owner and explained the situation. Today the owner calls me (3 days later) (I guess it was the owner he sounded awful young and unprofessional) he leaves me a message (I saved the message) and he says that he was sorry to hear what happened but these things happen. THESE THINGS HAPPEN?! REALLY?! We work in the medical field and an allergic reaction can be a VERY serious thing. And luckily I didn't drink no more of the drink than I did.
