    Gyro Platter

This place is a surprising gem. I was thinking from the curb appeal it was a full service restaurant but once walking it, there is a storefront and then the restaurant towards the back of the building. Easy street parking available. I did call in advance to place my order. When arrived the pick up process was simple and the staff was friendly. The only thing is they do not have Apple Pay right now so make sure you have a physical card or cash on you. The food was flavorful and relatively priced well for the amount of food given. I will return to try some other menu options.

Good food here. My wife and I had been wanting to give this place a try so we stopped in for lunch the other day. We went on a holiday and they had a very limited staff - the owner and his son were it. We sat ourselves and were greeted promptly and provided menus. Since this was our first time here, we had some questions which were answered well...very knowledgeable on the menu items. We started off with some falafel. It was very tasty...soft on the inside, nice and crunchy on the outside. I ordered the gyro and my wife ordered the shawarma wrap. In spite of the fact that they were fairly busy and there were just two staff members on site, the food came out pretty quickly. My gyro was very tasty, nothing overbearing or overloaded yet still very flavorful. It was served with some gardenia pickled vegetables inside...which was a bit different than I am used to with other gyro spots in town. My wife enjoyed her shawarma wrap as well. I snuck a little bite and, like the gyro, it was packed with flavor. I only wish that they had fresh cut fries. The presentation of the fries, in one of those mini fry baskets, was really cool...but I would prefer fresh cut fries. Overall, it's a nice spot and we'll most likely be back to try something else.

Our favorites are baba ganoush, mansef!!!!, and chicken shawarma. Baba ganoush comes with pita. Wonderfully homemade, you can taste the charred and smokiness of eggplant. We can never finish the large, but it's so good that we always get that size. We also love the gyro and baklava, but the first three are our favorite. Such a sweet husband and wife owner. We've done phone orders both times, paid in person. Highly recommend. One of our go to restaurants.

I just paid $8.75 for this.

The price was for something of a very high quality. I can say if you come from any place that serves a Greek salad this was not it. I paid $8.00 and it doesn't even come with feta cheese. I got a 1 quarter on 1 tomato and about 10 pieces of cut black olives. There was no cucumber sauce or even Cesar. No croutons, no yellow or green bell peppers. This was my worst experience that I have ever had with food quality from a Greek restaurant. Operating like this and staying in business I say good luck. Maybe I should open a Greek restaurant next door. Seems like Clarksville I ripe for competition.

MUST TRY. It doesn't look like much on the outside but this is some of the best food I've ever had. I cannot stop recommending this place to friends and family. Service was fantastic, menu had tons to choose from, and great options for less adventurous eaters too! We sat down as soon as we walked in and food came out quick too. This is a can't miss place!

This is a review for takeout. I'm sure it would have been better if I had eaten in, but I am taking that into account. Overall very good, I just think somethings could have been done better. The chicken shawarma is like the gyro, cut off of a large roll. It is wrapped inside a thin tortilla-like wrapper. It's not an open faced sandwich like the gyro. The gyro was perfectly fine, open face inside a thick and fluffy pita bread. I got the Mediterranean platter which consists of two chicken kebabs, two beef sticks, and two steak kebab sticks. It also comes with rice tabouleh and grilled vegetables. The chicken kebab was very tender with a hint of spice-that was a pleasant surprise. The beef sticks were a little dry. My son got a Philly cheesesteak sandwich, which was surprisingly good. The meat was cut up nice and thin. The low point was the rice. It was just a tad dry and I've just had better at other Mediterranean places. I think the grain isn't quite right. Also the pita bread for the hummus was a bit dry. But that could have been because it was warmed and then sitting in a bag for 15 minutes. The owners are very nice, and prepared my order.

I'd…read moresaved them in my Nashville bookmarks for some time after they received a lot of acclaim on Yelp - I believe at one time they were on a Yelp list of best restaurants in the US. We were certainly excited to try Uzbek food, as there's nowhere that serves it where we live. The restaurant doesn't look like too much from the outside and the parking lot is a little run down. However, the inside is very updated and super clean and comfortable. There's lots of seating, what appears to be a private room in the back, and some high-tech features, like a machine that you can use to alert waitstaff if you need a refill, a to-go box, or any other kind of attention. The bathrooms were also immaculate. Service was a little strange. I wouldn't say it was slow - every time we placed an order or had a request, our food or items were promptly brought out to us. However, the challenge came in getting the attention of our waitresses. Two ladies took care of us, alternating based on availability. One was very nice and friendly, the other a little gruff and irritable-seeming. But both were completely averse to coming in and checking on us without one of us flagging them down. Perhaps they're used to the little machines? I don't like using those because they come across as too demanding; I'd prefer to just be visited and checked in on from time to time by staff. Not so here. Despite not being very busy, our visit took a lot of time, even though the actual food service was fairly quick. Onto the food, the most important part. We ordered a lot because I wanted to experience as many unique dishes as possible. One waitress first brought out a complimentary serving of pita and what I believe was suzma, which the menu describes as a yogurt-based cheese. This was one of the highlights of our meal, actually, as the pita was hot, fresh, and very lightly charred. The suzma went very well with it. Then we ordered a chicken somsa and some Uzbek bread. The chicken somsa was alright; the pastry was delightfully flaky, but for me it was way too onion-forward. The Uzbek bread was another highlight. It was a temperature and textural delight - so warm and fluffy - if not a flavor bomb. It was great to polish off the remaining suzma from our complimentary treat. For entrees, my husband wanted to try the signature osh, while I ordered chicken shashlik. The osh was probably the better of the two but he didn't love it. It was quite greasy and the lamb was on the gamey side. My chicken shashlik had definitely been near charcoal too long; it had an overly-charred, unpleasant chemical-y taste. The accompanying rice had so much butter or oil in it that it was greasy, too, and although that imparted more flavor into it, I felt gross after a couple of bites. Everything was cooked well, just the flavors really didn't quite come together for us on this visit. It's hard for me to believe, given the average outstanding reviews and consistent praise this place gets, that our experience was an average one. Perhaps we just came on an off day or ordered the wrong things for our palates, since we're fairly unfamiliar with this cuisine. I would be willing to try again some day, but sadly our first visit didn't quite wow the way we'd hoped it would. I appreciate the clean and pretty environment and quickly prepared food!

The waitress was lack luster in personality, we sat down asked for hummus and the young guy with long hair on staff said they didn't have change for a $20 so a 7.99 hummus turned into a 20 dollar bill when he never brought back the $5 my friend said just to bring back as a tip. Then my mom's hummus lamb plate had a clump of hair in the hummus. The staff, "would you like us to remake it or a refund" no I'm sorry not anything to remedy the situation. Between the 5 of us with to go plates was nearly $130 ish. I'm so disappointed and know the owner would be upset with how his staff handled this. My chicken saaj bowl also was lack luster in flavor, I go to another Mediterranean place locally that is way way way more flavor. Hope the owner has a talk with his team about back of the kitchen etiquette so there isn't food in other people's food.
