stopped by today because they were doing a promo where you got a free smoothie with any food purchase for national smoothie day. i ordered ahead and my food was ready before the set pickup time, which was nice. i got the caribbean jerk chicken wrap, which comes with a side, and the chia banana boost smoothie. the wrap was actually really, really good. it had grilled chicken, rice, black beans, cheddar, pineapple salsa, romaine, and jerk sauce all wrapped up in a warm tortilla. the sauce had a nice kick and the pineapple salsa added just the right amount of sweetness. it's definitely on the spicier side, but i loved it. the smoothie, on the other hand, was kind of a letdown. it's supposed to have banana, chia seeds, almonds, peanut butter, whole grain oats, cinnamon, dates, and coconut, but all i really tasted was ice with a hint of banana and chia seeds. and at the very bottom of the cup, i found two whole, unblended dates, which just added to the disappointment. it cost about $10 today with the promo but would've been a little over $19 without it. definitely worth it for ten bucks, but i wouldn't come back to pay full price. if i came back, i'd probably just get the wrap again, which feels weird to say since it's a smoothie place, but the smoothie just didn't do it for me. i'd also get it to go next time because it's super loud in there with the blenders going nonstop. it would be 1 or 2 stars if i had just gotten the smoothie, but the wrap kinda saved the day, so a solid 3 stars from me this time! read more

The smoothies are the best in Buffalo. So happy other locations are opening up as well. Some staff can use some retraining because sometimes the smoothies are so thick I have to let them melt a bit before I can drink them and other times they're pure liquid. The locations I've been to are all clean and your always greeted. Music is always playing and there are always new things to try because of the seasonal menu. Healthy food is all the rage these days, so I was stoked to find out a franchise was opening in the area. If I could give it 3.5/5 I would. The inside was bright and beautiful and I thought there was a good amount of seating for the limited space that existed within. The food was a little underwhelming. I got a Thai chicken bowl and was a little bummed. It was 85% lettuce with a few pieces of chicken, but the cilantro was consistent throughout, which made me happy! The Thai peanut sauce was perfectly spicy and the bowl as a whole was incredibly flavorful. The smoothies are huge and very thick. I couldn't finish mine, not for lack of trying! You can see the staff making the smoothies and they're all made with care :-) Overall, not too shabby. I know they JUST opened so I'm not being too harsh with my star rating. This place opened up near my house and I have to say I'm really a fan. They've got a lot of options and in the chain restaurant wasteland near my house (and yes I know they're a chain) it's nice to have a healthier option for a change. They've got a lot of different smoothies, wraps, and sandwiches and what I've tried so far has really been pretty good overall. Pricing isn't bad and the service has always been very good. Their peanut butter banana smoothie was bomb and I also really like their side Kale apple salad it's surprisingly tasty. The flatbread's don't do it for me because I feel like they're not worth the price and I could easily have eaten two, but their panini's are really good and flavorful. For dessert they've got a few options but so far my favorite is the Ghiradelli chocolate chip cookies yum! I'll be back many more times as this place is local, well priced, and something different. Called since we were waiting so long & the worker said we have to call for them to bring it out and "it isn't their job to watch for cars all day". Maybe add in the website where we place the order that you need to call ahead then... only direction from the website was to pull up to the "designated curbside pickup area". My wife and I have tried a few smoothies from here. I think I've had about 3 and it has always been the Healthy Nut and I've added Flax and Chia Seeds. It is delicious every time. My wife has tried two other ones and they have been been great. Lots of flavors and well made. They do take a little time to make so be aware of that if your in hurry. We have used the online order and then you just walk in and grab them. Quick and easy! The prices do seem high but the size of the smoothie is really big. Since NYS Pause started, sadly my Yelp'olution of visiting more libraries has also paused. I wanted to come up with a new Yelp goal to tackle, and it needed to be reasonably priced and healthy ... so enter smoothies! We kicked things off with Ashker's on Elmwood, and Tropical Smoothie Cafe is officially the second spot of my smoothie soiree. We ordered ahead online, which was very easy to do. I went with the Kiwi Quencher, and the hubbs had the Detox Island Green. We both added ground flax, a vitamin shot, and swapped out the sugar for a no-calorie sweetener, all easy customizations to make on the website. Another great thing about ordering online is all the calorie information is posted, something important to me to try and keep things reigned in a bit during this homebound lockdown. The bill came to fifteen and change, which yeah is pricey for two drinks, but about eight bucks seems to be the going rate for a quality smoothie these days. So off we went to curbside pick-up our smoothies. I called inside when we arrived, and a kind smoothie'ista came out with our drinks within a minute, so the service was fast and friendly. I was impressed that they were quite sizable, a plus since they are almost eight bucks a pop. As for the smoothie quality itself, not too bad. The hubbs enjoyed his green concoction. I could definitely taste the fresh strawberries and kiwi in mine. One thing I wasn't crazy about though was the consistency. It wasn't exactly a smoothie in my book, but more of a slurpee, or even a sorbet. I definitely could have eaten it with a spoon, it was that thick, like an Icee. My smoothie had yogurt in it, but it didn't seem like much because it did not have that milkshake creaminess that I prefer in a smoothie. Nonetheless, it was a tasty and satisfying cold treat. We'll keep coming here from time to time as the weather warms up for a healthier ice cream substitute when we're craving something frozen and sweet. Second time coming here this week, first I tried the avocado smoothie, but taste more like a slushy. The prices are okay which is why I gave them 2 stars, the customer service is average, the smoothie sizes are pretty big but again it's mostly ice so idk. They're open later compared to other smoothie/juice places Today I gave them another try and went with the detox, same thing, watered down very icy, definitely not smooth or flavorful like a smoothie. I also tried the Caesar salad, they put chicken in it, with slices of tomatoes, spinach on the top and then shredded lettuce on the bottom, not impressed. Old lettuce at that. This chain just opened a location in Depew. Bright, clean atmosphere, attentive staff, but not sure I'd go back for lunch. Prices are low, but you get what you pay for. My Baja chicken salad was 90% lettuce with 4 bites of chicken, a few tablespoons of black beans, cheese sprinkle, and, for some reason, a sprinkle of white rice. I definitely wanted more for lunch. I suppose the portions are correct, but I was hungry a few hours later. The banana/peanut butter/chocolate smoothie was tasty for sure, but at 740 calories, it definitely had to be split with someone.
