    Veggie Club Sandwich

Delicious fresh veggie club sandwich was perfectly seasoned, crunchy with really nice soft, rich bread. Strawberry pecan salad was also very fresh & tasty. I will be coming back again! The menu has quite a nice variety. Great service and reasonable prices.

The rain and cold helped locate a place with a sandwich and soup. This place hit the spot. Lunch was good! Turkey n swiss on rosemary focaccia bread was delicious. They added just the right amount of mayo with lettuce and tomato. I got the meal with sweet pot fries, this even came with a little side of a cinnamon spread. I didn't wait long and everything was good.

Today I ordered to go for the first time- and their drive up window is extremely convenient. I ordered the Bacon lovers burger and was happy enough with the burger but disappointed that lettuce, tomato, onion, and other condiments cost extra for an already $9 burger. I also got a strawberry salad with a scoop of chicken salad for my dinner. The chicken salad was a generous portion and the salad was fresh and delicious. I'm giving them 4 because of the up charge on extras that even McDonalds puts on their burgers-- but not lower because inside the atmosphere is always pleasant and clean.

I ate here on a Monday morning for breakfast. - There was no wait when I walked in. - This place is super cheap. My croissant sandwich with a drink and hash browns was $8! - My breakfast was excellent.

I really enjoyed my lunch at William's and look forward to returning to try more items. I had the chipotle chicken panini, and the chicken had a nice chargrilled flavor and the fries were really tasty. My husband enjoyed his club sandwich as well. The portions are large, such that I easily could have split a sandwich with my husband. I also appreciate that they serve Cheerwine. The only negatives was that it took a long time for our order to be prepared, and while I noticed the employees being friendly to some of the customers, they weren't particularly warm to us. They had a couple of people working in the kitchen, which is visible from the dining room, and a couple of other employees behind the counter but none of them seemed to be moving with any sort of speed. So, a good place for a casual, not-so-quick bite!

CALL YOUR ORDER IN!! 5stars for the food is amazing. 4stars overall because the time it takes to receive the food is always slow. The foods amazing but again the time it takes to prepare the food stinks. I only get 30 minutes for lunch. On average I wait 12 minutes for my food. That's not good when I only have 30 minutes. With the amount of cooks back there cooking it shouldn't take that long. Again the food is so good just slow cooking times. Call your order in if you can. That will take this issue from the equation.

Western Omelet at William’s Gourmet Kitchen, Durham NC

Breakfast here on a weekday morning. Order and pay at the counter, gather your beverages (and silverware!) and they bring it to your chosen table when it's ready. How very European! I went with the Western Omelet and it was a very big portion with tons of sausage and bacon. I ate less than half of this monster. For side, I chose the hash brown rounds, which are a similar concept to the ones at Burger King. Not that there's anything wrong with this, just be prepared for what you're getting. A huge meal, a very good price and a nice little restaurant. I'm a fan!

Came in for lunch today with some coworkers. It was a slower process than usual getting our orders taken, but overall things were good. I love the honey stung chicken and opted for that today. I must say I was not a fan of the Mac and cheese that I ordered as a side. My colleague stated it had some spruce to it, and I would have to agree. It definitely was not your traditional Mac and cheese which I found disappointing and will not be ordering that again.

As a vegetarian, there were admittedly pretty limited options, but I was aware of that going in and still wanted to try out this Durham institution. You get complimentary Focaccia (not once, but twice!), with perfectly crusty outside, bouncy inside, and a wonderful olive oil. If I had known this beforehand, probably would not have ordered the Dinner Rolls- nonetheless, they were delightful (pillowy soft and came with an airy butter). As an appetizer, we got the Little Gem Lettuce, which was a little too salty for my taste, and I felt the citrus accentuated the saltiness even more. However, my friends thought it was seasoned well so take this with a grain of salt lol. But I did enjoy the creaminess of the dressing and the crunch from the topping; also, it was pleasant to eat along with some bread. For my entrée, I got the Spaghettini. This was my first time trying shaved black truffle and I was underwhelmed, but I loved the pasta itself, which had a really unique bite to it and was rich but not heavy. The pasta dishes are on the smaller side with regards to portion. Last but definitely not least: the Hot Chocolate Soufflé. Oh my gosh. When I say this was heavenly, I could literally hear angels singing as I took my first bite. The hot fudge was velvety but not overwhelming, the soufflé soft, and perfectly balanced by the cool bourbon-caramel ice cream. This is assembled table side so you get a fun little show as well haha. We were taken on a bit of an emotional rollercoaster because apparently they were having trouble with the oven, but so grateful that could be fixed. Service was amazing (shout out to Beza!), very friendly and appropriate timing. Ambiance is superb, literally the epitome of modern elegance and probably the best in Durham for a fancy night out. Highly recommend getting a reservation. I could see parking being tricky on busy weekends, but I was able to snag a spot in front of the restaurant. Overall, I had a good experience with some minor room for improvement with dish execution but definitely would appreciate more vegetarian and vegan-friendly options (although, I suppose I didn't ask if modifications to dishes was possible). 9/10 would recommend!

Now the review: I stopped by for an early dinner and ordered the Chicken Salad Wrap, which came loaded with lettuce, tomato, onion, bacon, and a Texas Pete mayo wrapped in a flour tortilla. It was fresh, filling, and well put together, with the bacon adding a nice smoky bite. The sweet potato fries were also pretty decent. Also this time I tried their house cocktail, "The Local" just how it comes with Conniption Kinship Gin, tonic, lime‑rosemary simple syrup, and a rosemary sprig. It was well balanced and they also have a few other cocktail options (for a restaurant bar) if you're wanting to try something unique.

Mine was strong -- definitely a sipper. The margaritas had that delightful amount of heat that hit you in the throat instead of the tongue. I decided to go with the salad special for my entree and add salmon. It was delightful -- a unique salad with a southern mix of bacon, black eyed peas and field greens. It was not the best salmon I've ever had but it was well seasoned and not overcooked. Husband enjoyed his burger. Our food came out fast. Overall a great experience.

I asked the cashier at the front about it and she told me that there are lids under the drink station. I guess she was too busy to get them for me and tried to make me do it? I couldn't find them so I gave up. She did eventually come out and replace the lids though but never told me that she did it. They also ran out of broccoli and had to drop some more but never told us how long it was going to take. So I was waiting for 5-10 minutes for my girlfriend's food to be ready as my food got cold. Wouldn't have been as bad but they never told us how long the wait would be and we were both getting hungry. There were also a good amount of flies in the restaurant. We tried to sit outside but there were a lot of flies there too. Instead we walked to the brewery where the flies seemed to leave us alone. My food was seasoned well enough and had a good flavor but it didn't really taste that fresh. Not sure if it was from the wait but I'm sure it didn't help. It seemed like the ingredients may have been sitting out a while. I don't think I'll be back which is unfortunate because I was excited to find a healthier fast food restaurant.

Parking was tight but doable in the lot. The space is charming inside and out; the shaded patio has a nice vibe, though foot traffic to the entrance passes by those tables. Ordering is walk-up, and food is delivered to the table. Menu is broad with clear gluten-free indicators (huge plus). Coffee was dark and delicious, and service throughout was genuinely warm, knowledgeable, and fast -- easily 5 stars for hospitality. Getting to-go boxes was effortless and we were offered refills often. Food was a mixed bag. My wife had the gluten-free smoked salmon toast with avocado. She wished the veggies and tomato were grilled; the GF bread itself was very good, but the greens/tomato ended up pushed aside. I had the smoked salmon Benedict. The salmon portion felt light, and the hollandaise leaned more toward mustard than citrus and was a bit thin. Breakfast potatoes and veggies were nicely cut and well-seasoned but undercooked; same for the bacon, which tasted more tough than crisp. (I reheated the potatoes/veg at home -- flavor was there once cooked through.) Prices felt reasonable, ingredients seemed thoughtfully sourced, and the team's earnestness shines. With a little tighter execution (fully cooked potatoes/veg, crisper bacon, brighter/thicker hollandaise, slightly more salmon, grilled tomatoes), this would be an easy 5. I'll definitely be back -- I gave it a 3.7 but rounded it up to 4 stars for the service, coffee, and GF-friendly menu options.
