Not much to say, left without ordering or eating. I used to go to one off of bell rd near arrowhead mall and loved it. Have been to a few in Florida as well and had a good experience. I just got done at the gym and thought a smoothie and a jerk chicken wrap would sound amazing. We stopped by and saw a sign in the door, free smoothie if you wear flip flops on June 16th... oops, someone forgot to change the sign, oh well. Open the door and BAM the stench of 1000 rotting souls leaves the door. But seriously, it was like they have used to same mop head for 6 years and never thought to change it after it got that rotting mop/food smell. I went into this location not long ago and was very disappointed! There were two younger kids working. I walked up to the cashier and asked if they sold gift cards. The younger man asked me "I'm sorry what was that?" 2 times, until he then took off his AirPods to hear me correctly. I didn't know whether to laugh or get angry that he felt it was ok to have his AirPods on while attending to a customer. He then proceeded to tell me "he didn't know" if gifts cards were sold. I stood there for a few seconds in silence thinking about what I said next without seeming frustrated. So I asked if there was anyone else he could ask. He proceeded to ask the other girl and she said they didn't not have gift cards. If they did not have gifts cards, I get it, but the interaction that I experienced up until this point was unreal. I called the location when I got home and asked for the manager's names then left a message. I never received a phone call back. Follow through is so important in customer service. Needless to say, it takes one interaction like this, to not want to go back there. And I am still not confident that gifts cards are even available at this location, that's how much uncertainty I received from the staff working this night. read more

I rated this restaurant with a 2 Star because on more than one occasion, they have caused problems with my order. The other reason is because you can never get anyone on the phone after a certain hour because they turn off the ringer, I know this because I placed a curbside order they delivered the order to my car but a food item was missing so I phoned to make them aware and the phone just ranged with no answer. I walked into the store with the phone ringing and clearly the ringer was off! I approached the counter and asked for a manager and was told that there wasn't one. Just about saved my life So I got the norovirus and was having problems keeping anything down. No jello or bullion or ginger ale would stay inside for more than a few minutes. Dehydrated and cramping, my wife bought me a Mango Magic from Tropical Smoothie Cafe with the thought that the cold and natural juices would help. I nursed on the smoothie for the next five hours. It stayed down and I started to emerge from the throes of what felt like a certain painful, wasting death. After losing about eight pounds in two days, I had two Mango Magics a day the next two days as I recovered fluids and electrolytes. Kidding aside, the smoothies are tasty and don't have the artificial flavoring taste that other places do. I visited this location today 11/27/2019 at around 6:15 pm and as much as I wanted to love it due to the fact that it's so close to my home I left with a terrible impression of TSC. To begin, the staff were barely sociable and provided no customer service whatsoever. You would think they were flustered because they were so busy or something but my wife and I were the only 2 people inside for the entire 30 mins we were there. The boy who took my order was so timid and soft spoken I had to ask him to repeat what he was asking me multiple times. We planned to dine in as we wanted to enjoy our meal sitting down at a table instead of having to hassle with it in our car but we were not even asked if our order was to go. They bagged it up and dropped it off at our table, no biggie we took it out of the bag and sat down anyway. While we ate we could see most of the staff sitting on the counters with their eyes glued to their cell phones, especially the two gentlemen wearing doo rags. It honestly made me feel as if they were overstaffed as there were 5 to 6 people working in the back. They seemed disgruntled and bored out of their mind. I think the location would benefit from reducing labor costs if they're just paying people to sit around and play on their phones. I was also wondering why this location didn't seem to use uniforms as all of the other locations I have visited had their staff in uniform. I will definitely never return to this location. I gave a 2 star review due to the fact that the food was actually pretty decent. Corporate may need to stop by and evaluate this location because it's a pathetic example of what a Tropical Smoothie Cafe is supposed to be. Sadly Robeks was closed so I thought I'd give tropical smoothie a shot. Terrible mistake paying $8 (price of a whole meal) for a watered down tasteless smoothie is not worth it. I had them remake and they did but it tasted the exact same so I think tropical smoothie changed recipes to save on fruit sourcing? It's terrible Please just shut it down and give up. Go to Robeks if you're looking for a smoothie you can actually taste. Tropical smoothie revise the recipes or get quality ingredients. If you want us to pay inflated prices source great tasting ingredients so it's worth it. At this point I feel cheated. Never coming here again. Now I am used to a local place where I'm from that has hands down the best wraps you've ever eaten (check out La Parilla in Bozeman MT it you're ever there). She would start to make the drinks and then another customer would walk in and instead of finishing what she was in the middle of doing she would stop and go take another order and go back to start my order and this cycle repeated about four times. Eventually her orders piled up at that point I asked for the status on my drinks. She said they were in the process of being made so I asked for a refund as I simply lost patience at that moment and decided go to Robeks. Also the place smells pretty bad which I give credit to the fruit but the place is also very dirty in the lobby area as well as in the back where they are preparing the menu items, it just grossed me out. I don't know if she's a manager or what, but the woman with black hair and some tattoos is a real bitch to her staff. There's only one girl in the back making smoothies during a busy morning and the manager woman starts berating her in front of customers. We left before we even ordered. I don't know her name as she wasn't wearing a tag, but in the 3 minutes I was there she had already yelled at this poor girl three times for not bringing the drinks to the customer and instead calling out the order at the counter. Keep in mind this girl had 25+ orders and she's the only one working the back. I feel for her. The manager woman is a total bitch and should have been fired on the spot for her treatment of staff, let alone in front of many customers.
