Received great service inside and ended up staying with my laptop to work. There are at least 3 outlets around the dining area to find a table to plug in your computer. I didn't take any calls or virtual meetings but the WiFi was great and the dining area was easy to focus in. You also get a lot of sunlight from the wall of windows! I usually get an Island Green Smoothie with Splenda and a flatbread. I tried the Thai Salad this time and it was good. Service inside was great and I didn't wait long. There's always a line in the drive through at this Tropical Smoothie Cafe, and a new location opened up by my house recently. My boyfriend and I were shopping at Target and decided to stop here for a quick lunch on a Saturday afternoon. This was our first-ever time at a Tropical Smoothie, but I'd seen the menu before so I had an idea of their offerings. Besides smoothies, you can also get flatbreads, wraps, quesadillas, sandwiches, and bowls. There are a lot of options! I ordered the chicken bacon ranch flatbread with a side of kale and apple slaw (each sandwich comes with one side), and my boyfriend got the baja chicken wrap with chips. We also got a sunrise sunset smoothie to share (strawberry, pineapple, mango, and orange). The girl taking our order was really polite and patient as we reviewed the menu. Our food was made quickly and packed to go, but we ended up eating there to try it at its freshest. I was really impressed with the quality, portions, and taste of the food! The flatbread had a lot of chicken and bacon, the veggies were fresh and crisp, and it was the perfect amount of dressing. The flatbread itself was soft and tender but held up well. The wrap could've been wrapped a little tighter, but it was really delicious! It had big chunks of white meat chicken, rice, black beans, avocado, romaine, and pickled red onion. The pickled red onion was a really nice touch and added acidity and crunch. All the ingredients were fresh and tasty. It was a big burrito-like wrap and could have easily been split between the two of us. I was surprised at the size of the smoothie- it was really tall. I think it only comes in one size, so be aware that you may have leftovers if it's part of a meal. We definitely did, but just stashed it in the fridge. I loved the mango and other fruits in the smoothie! I definitely would get it again. I wish they listed the sugar content for their smoothies. Also, they do serve the smoothies in styrofoam cups, which aren't easily recyclable in this area. I love their acai bowls, but over time they've decreased the amount of acai in it. It's down to about 1/3 acai in the entire bowl. You really have to dig for it. I've ordered it a few times recently to see if this is the new standard, which it seems so. Quite sad. I went to this tropical smoothie. I go here all the time. I gave the worker in the drive-through my phone and she dropped it. She proceeded to tell me that it dropped in a basket, but I clearly heard my phone drop on the ground which had me very concerned so when she gave me my food I asked her did you drop my phone because it was pieces sticking out I could literally cut myself. That's how bad it was if you have an iPhone you know. The drive-through worker, then lie straight to my face and said she doesn't know the corporate store and the manager isn't there and will be there in an hour. I talked to the manager seconds later and the manager took my phone number down. She says that she needs pictures of the previous damage and the new damage. I sent pictures of both and I haven't heard back from them. I will not be using Tap Pay or revisiting this tropical smoothies, but there is another one right down the street. I was on my way to get a salad from Panera when I hit a long light and saw a sign that I should reconsider. A quick look at the menu in Yelp caused me to realize there were more salad and smoothie options here so I made the switch in my plans. As I pulled up to the drive through, I was overwhelmed by a giant-sized menu with a lot of options ... I also was confused because what was called "salads" in their Yelp menu was called "bowls" on the wall. I picked the veggie bowl and added hummus. The cashier was nice but she didn't know how to add a pita bread to the order. She ended up giving it to me for free. She recommended the Island Green smoothie when I asked for something healthy (again, the options were too many as I was in a rush). The smoothie (a huge size) was good. I did have a friend tell me you have to ask them not to add sugar which I wish I'd known. The bowl was good. Not sure why rice is part of it but it was satisfying (especially with the added chicken.) I have stopped at this location of tropical smoothie before and every time it just flat out sucks. There is such a long wait for overpriced smoothies. My gf and I visited on 10/7 and we each got a smoothie. Mine came out as a horrible slushy and she got a smoothie. You can tell that there is no consistency when training because some smoothies are good and others are 95% ice. For over $6 per smoothie, this is unacceptable. Ordered through my app, loyal customer and wanted to skip the lines for a quick pick up. Well, I am still standing at the counter, next to the "skip the lines, pick up online orders here" sign and no one has even made eye contact with me. My food has to be getting cold. The line is now gone, and still no service. Worst customer service ever!!!! Once I opened my bag at work, I was given the wrong wrap!!! And it was cold. Update: decided to try them again, on a positive note, I was waited on right away for my online order and received the correct sandwich. However once I opened my chips, they were chewy and stale, so I checked over bag for expiration date and noticed the bottom of the bag opened. I called to inform them, thinking I might get an apology and a kind stop by and we will get you a bag a chips and a cookie or kale salad for your extra trouble, but instead I was told they give out the chips "for free" and they will check out other bags. The only thing that makes tropical smoothie a 4-star for me is their hit or miss slow service. Sometimes you're in and out.. other times... yah not so much. I've had the pesto chicken flatbread here and I honestly really enjoy them. Pro tip: ask for extra pesto. Ironically usually places that offer these kinds of wraps don't put a lot of pesto in them which is most likely the reason you opted to try it! Anywhoo, the wrap was good, the pita bread is warm and amazing. The main attraction, the smoothies are SOOO good and worth the price. Their cups are made of styrofoam (yes im raving about the cups.. hear me out) which I enjoy because they keep the smoothie ice cold ALL DAY. My favorite is the detox green, it isn't that sweet but you can add natural sweeteners and I can feel myself getting healthier as I drink it. I've been here several times in the past month, and each time I end up spending nearly 25 minutes in the drive-through, whether there is a line or not. Recently did a lunch group order at work and requested delivery. Received a text that a doordash driver was delivering. Upon receiving the order, I mentioned to the driver the many missing items. He showed me the order he had on his phone and that it was an issue with TS. I understand that we are all human, make mistakes, and need grace but the real problem is when I called TS. I called them to let them know of the missing items. They offered me to drive there and pick up the remaining items but could not help me with a refund. I was told that: 1. I was calling the wrong branch. 2. That they don't offer free delivery, 3. That I need to contact Door Dash, not them 4. That I couldn't speak with the manager, Morgan, because she just punched out. 4. That I couldn't speak with the team leader because she was training someone. 5. To call "tomorrow". Long story short, TS hung up on me and didn't accept phone calls thereafter. Our office total came to $45. We got half our smoothies, missing chips, and paid for extra bacon on a breakfast burrito (no wonder the first bite was dry, see photo). We just want a refund. No coupons, no coming back; refund!! I politely asked if our smoothies had been made yet since my 9 year old was hoping to change his order. The cashier gave us a terrible attitude when I asked her and then I requested she walk 6 steps to check since she didn't even check the first time I asked. She walked back to look and then lied lied to us about it being done. I could clearly see it wasn't. Pros: clean facility. Some menu options are 'better' than other chains, so it's a touch bit healthier than most. Veggie wrap tasted fine, but it was evident it's all just mass produced commodity ingredients. Cons: Lackluster whole food vegetarian options. They add sugar to every smoothie unless you ask them not to (found this out after ordering and reading the fine print). Smoothies do not need sugar! Too sweet. I also take exception to their poster in the window that says "artisan tacos". There is no artisan here. There are teenagers assembling mediocre food from Sysco. I give them credit for being something different among the burgers, tacos, and etc joins available in anytown USA. However, I don't think they nailed it in terms of actually being a healthy option. Although l live just blocks away, I don't believe I will be returning. Unfortunately Grandville lacks any real food restaurants and secretly I hoped this might be partially that. Not very impressed. I ordered a Totally Green Smoothie and made sure to order it unsweetened. It tasted so strongly of oranges and bananas and I didn't finish it. They didn't even have oranges and bananas in the their list of ingredients. Weird! I also had a chicken Caesar salad. It would have been ok, but there were a ton of chopped tomatoes on it. (Also weird to have tomatoes on a Caesar salad). They were not ripe and very sour. Order your salad without tomatoes, they aren't very nice at this restaurant. Horrible attitudes. I just went in with a coupon which didn't work. I asked to speak with the manager who was standing right there we could see and hear him.
