Ice cream was very good. The pricing was weird - albeit misleading. I got a small raspberry truffle cup. I got my husband a large sundae bc it was posted as 7.75 for a small or 8.00 for a large. I even questioned this. It was vanilla ice cream hot fudge with sprinkles. It's a sundae so you would expect toppings. It was 1.50 for the fudge and .50 for the "jimmies" aka sprinkles. Nothing on their signage indicates these charges. Will probably go back on occasion but seriously, the pricing needs to be clarified. read more

Our first visit to the new location on Foxcroft was ok. I really want to love this place but the experience overall was underwhelming. The positive: Large assortment of frozen treats and bubble teas. Shaved ice, handscoop and softserve icecream. Lots of flavors. Unique speciality frozen treats like flavor ice combos with softserve. Friendly servers. Colorful interior The not so great: Slow service- there were 4 workers, only one person in front of us, and we only ordered 2 plain icecreams and it took 9 minutes to get them Tables way to close together. Ordering/waiting area didnt have a flow. Quality of icecream/softserve average. Undecided if we will go back. I'm a long time fan of shave ice. I'm often disappointed by the texture and lack of flavor or cheap topping syrup. So on a trip we saw Snooks listed as a local favorite. The locals are RIGHT! The texture is soft. I chose pineapple and coconut syrup. They drenched it completely and there was no dry ice blob at the top like other shops. The syrup was the most flavorful I have ever had in a shave ice. The prices were really good too compared to other places. They have so many choices of flavors of ice cream, shave ice and toppings it's a little overwhelming. Some from other countries and I had no idea what they were. They also have Boba (or bubble) tea, smoothies and oatmeal bowls. So if you're thirsty or craving a wonderful sweet try this little hidden gem! This place has a huge menu and a big variety that should have something for everyone in your family/party. With the menu being so big it is a little overwhelming. The lady who helped us was very informative and super nice. The cookie dough is the edible kind, which my husband prefers the old-fashioned cookie dough, but if that's the type you like you'll be fine. I got the black walnut ice cream waffle cone. Delicious. Place was short staffed for a Saturday afternoon so service was polite but slow. We saw customers walk in and out not willing to wait. I am not a huge shaved ice fan, but they have a huge selection for almost anyone. I heard about the korean shaved ice with the cream, mochi, and poppers and it was amazing. I believe they even had a dairy free version. I got my husband and dad stuff as well and they very much enjoyed it. We will have to take my daughter here one day! They are very nice people which I am so grateful for. The parking was a little confusing just FYI if you plan on going. There are signs that say no parking and that there is parking around the back, but also had no parking signs... so I just parked in the only space I saw, veteran parking. My husband owns Snooks. I want to leave a respectful response to the 3* Review. Snooks is a "Food Truck". It is not a "brick & mortar establishment". Therefore it's important to keep this in mind when critiquing services and access. Next; the owner of the property/Papa's Chicken & Ribs graciously created additional parking spaces in the rear of the property. NUMEROUS signs are posted stating "Additional Parking In the Rear". Wait Times: Snooks has been open 3 months. Finding dependable and individuals willing to work is challenging. With that said, the staff works very hard to fill orders quickly, perfectly, & to my husband's standards. Again, Snooks is a NEW & SMALL business and the trailer does not have multiple pieces of equipment in it to fill orders like DQ or CFA. So therefore, items come out one at a time... the same as other like models. As for pricing- SNOOKS IS NOT over priced. My husband did not open a business to has daily "give aways". Nor is he price gouging. His prices are based on what it costs him to make the products, and run his business, pay staff, rent, etc... Snooks does however, pride itself on making AMAZING frozen desserts that NO only other local business provides in the area!... and if you see these desserts elsewhere locally, I promise you, it's because that business has seen our menu and is inspired by the options and desires to add new and fresh items to their menu as well! Kudos to them! So, Snooks is small, SNOOKS may not be as fast, SNOOKS is learning ... and the learning curve is steep ... but, my husband is dedicated to providing quality and unique frozen desserts to our AMAZING community! We got the Thai mango snowflake and it was soooo delicious. A yummy base of a creamy mango shaved iced topped off with mango, chunks of soft cake, whipped cream and popping boba. So flavorful. Great customer service, definitely will be coming back! read more
