This is my go-to location for satiating my Watermelon Mojito smoothie habit:.. and it IS habit-forming. I always add the energizer and it gives me a much needed boost. I feel more hydrated. I feel 100% better. My only wish is that they served this flavor year-round bc it is DELICIOUS and REFRESHING. Id give no stars if i could, save yourself the headache. Went here Friday night ordered $55 worth of items and was told they were out of the 2 Açaí Bowels I ordered. At the time that was fine i went to the location on Shore Drive to buy the items since i would be refunded for those items. Neeedless to say the 4 shake i ordered 3 of them were trashed due to tasting like it had chemicals in it. Couldnt call because they were closed so I just took the loss. I called multiple times Saturday to get information on my refund and was told there was no manager on at the time i called and said to call back in 10 min. Called back all day until i just went up there. The same kids that were there the night before were on shift. Needless to say 5 people on shift all standing around with people waiting in the lobby, no one could provide any information on the refund, the young man i talked to said he couldn't do it and would leave it to his supervisor but couldn't tell me their name or when i would get the refund. He said his name was Gabriel but im sure that was incorrect. As much as we spend at this location, its sad adults would allow kids to rub their business down in the ground. I love tropical smoothie but I had a terrible experience at this location. I came in to resolve a charge on an order I couldn't pick up in time--there was construction on the road as I headed to pick up my order--so I called the store twice. No answer. I arrived at 9 on the dot. The lights were off and there was no one there, which is fine. I tried to contact customer service and the link in the app didn't work, I went to my email and sent a message requesting a refund--there was no confirmation email. The next day I still hadn't heard anything so I passed by the location. When I arrived I explained everything and asked for a refund or the items from the order. The cashier seemed confused. He took a photo of my phone screen with his phone and showed his "manager", a few minutes later he says his "manager" will offer me a refund & I could stay if I wanted to. About ten minutes go past, and he hasn't apologized for the wait, the "manager" had not said a word to me. I asked what is the "manager" doing? He said she was making smoothies because they are behind. I asked for the card of the store manager, he asked his "manager" for a card and he came back and told me they didn't have any cards. I asked what the store manager's name is, he said her name is "Shanique". I asked for her last name and he said he didn't know. I expressed frustration with the lack of consideration for me as a customer, and their overall rudeness. He then stated that the "manager" was now making my order ..... yet previously he said she was coming to give me a refund. I walked out and when I made it to my car, I saw customer service online had given me a refund. It's not about the money, it's about the principle. Bad customers exist, but it's not right to treat good people like garbage--that's how you lose customers. I frequent this tropical smoothie almost every week, but I have noticed a significant decline in their quality of service recently. Wraps with missing ingredients, smoothies that are half made up of chunks of ice, and even asking for additions like chia seeds or yogurt only to be charged and not get it in the smoothie. The woman at the cash register was friendly and she seemed to be very helpful. The smoothies are good, but this time I ordered a chicken pesto wrap. VERY delicious and worth the wait. At first I was a little frustrated because it was taking over fifteen minutes, but they were extremely busy, so I understood. Overall, I recommend this location. First time at this location as I rarely hit up the Military corridor. With being out of town, the holiday and just completely mixed up it seemed like Saturday and I first pulled into another establishment closed on Sunday. My son loves TS, so it was an easy choice since right beside where we were. Signage is great as it's right off Military. Lot has adequate parking for size, but there are a few other businesses around. I cannot gauge what it would be like on a normal weekday. Especially considering our visit was a mid day Sunday. Parking lot and door way was clean. However, the outside trash was over flowing and no excuse for this. It obviously was never emptied on opening of the store. Big no, no for me. Walked in and it was completely dead except for one booth where two employee's were sitting. Some minor debris on the floor, but all tables were clean. Is it just me, or if a store is dead should any debris, or any trash be over flowing...answer is clear. Service was friendly and no issues. Counter area was clean but a huge case was completely empty which was odd. I thought it maybe was being cleaned etc. But nope, a pic from four mos ago showed it empty too. Work area behind the counter was in great shape. The young woman who helped with our order personally brought out my son's smoothie. My son immediately remarked that this is different than others where your name is called out and he liked it. I did too since there was no business it was a little extra service effort that was greatly appreciated. My son's usual order of cheese Quesadilla was cranked out in less than 10 minutes. My son can be picky if these are over cooked, we have even had to take them back for being very dark to black. However, this was spot on and according to my son tasted great! This is the worst location I've ever been to. I placed my order online and headed to the store to pick it up. The employees were so occupied having conversations about having to call out yesterday and their response from the manager that they made my order wrong. I get all the at home and notice that they put cheese on my wrap when I specified no cheese in my online order. I come back to the store and ask for a refund and for my order to be remade as a sign of good faith. The "manager" Maria comes up and says they can't do both because they already wasted product making the first one. How is that the customer's problem?! I've been to this location various times. Staff is friendly and I never have to wait long. They even have an order online feature which I haven't used yet. My favorite item on the menu was the Jamaican Jerk Chicken wrap which sadly is no longer served but replaced with a Caribbean Chicken wrap. They are similar but not identical. I went with the new wrap and it was OK but greatly would've preferred the old one but menu's change that's life. The Caribbean wrap still had good flavor and was filling. I rarely get smoothies anymore because they are too sweet but this particular day it was 90 degrees outside and I was craving one. I went with the Detox Island Green which is Spinach, kale, mango, pineapple, banana & fresh ginger (naturally sweetened). I must say I was pleased. The dressing didn't come at all, so it was very dry. The wrap was grilled, so all the 6 or seven small pieces of lettuce they put on it were wilted and gross. While staying in the Holiday Inn Express Airport I decided to take a stroll of the immediate vicinity as I usually do while traveling. I walked up on this jewel decided to give them a try since I hadn't had breakfast yet. I'm happy I did!!! After scanning over the menu a few times( I like to make sure I don't pass up anything lol) I ordered an Island Greens smoothie I noticed they offered supplements to add to the smoothies like other smoothie spots I've been to. I passed on the food menu. Tropical smoothie cafe also offers wraps, quesadillas and flatbreads it all looked so tasty; I was undecided on what to try. I also didn't want to hold up the line the place was packed with dine in and carry out customers. To my surprise my smoothie was huge and ready in about 7 minutes. This smoothie was great and sweater than I expected because the only sweet ingredient was banana but I really enjoyed the flavors. Staff was very friendly and patient restaurant was clean and had a tropical feel to it. Worth every penny read more

This place has gona down some, since it was sold to a new owner a couple years ago. Things keep disappearing, like the cooler by the register standing empty. Now the soda fountain is gone, replaced by a refridgerator behind the counter of bottled drinks. The cookies aren't fresh anymore, unless the store wraps them in cellopane. I stopped by on a rainy, cold Monday and it was mostly dead inside. There was so trash on the floor and the rug at the front needed a vacuuming badly. My service was friendly and fast. Went to tropical smoothie today 1/6. I was picking up lunch for eight people in my office and I called ahead to see if I was able to place the orders ahead of time. The lady kindly took my order and I was thrilled to be able to place my order ahead of time. I called at 12:10PM which is right in the midst of lunch time rush. I arrived at the location at 12:30 PM and the cafe was packed. It was obvious everyone working was incredibly busy with orders and there was a line almost out the door. By the time I got to the front of the line my order was being assembled and I was out the door just a few minutes later. Great experience, I was very impressed with the efficiency of the team and I was even more pleased with how prompt the staff was with order taking and executing. Not to mention, the food was great. I had a peanut butter protein smoothie 3/5 stars (peanut butter/banana ratio off, perhaps too much banana, or not real banana?) and the Caribbean jerk chicken wrap 4.5/5 was excellent! Some of the floor and serving area was a bit messy which needed to be sweet. The service at the counter was very nice and the cashier was very friendly. The service was pretty slow, but we were patient at first. What was unacceptable was the fact that they got our order wrong twice. We were here for over 30 minutes behind 1 sandwich. We ordered a smoky-cado and the first time they gave us a smoky mozza instead. They took that back and tried again. The second time they didn't put any bacon on it. They didn't apologize the first time, and we got half an apology the second time. No other compensation for the poor service. This location seriously struggles with handling orders via DoorDash. On several occasions, my office-mates and I have placed large orders. It's apparent the staff there doesn't bother to check or read the special instructions box. Issues have included missing ingredients from smoothies, missing half of the order, providing smoothies without straws and late deliveries. We kept giving this location opportunities because it's so close to our job and there's typically 4-5 of us ordering together. Forgetting all of our sandwiches today was the final straw. Well well well. I love me some Tropical Smoothie. Enough to wait longer than usual. While waiting, I notice the Food Permit on the wall expired on December 30, 2020 and today is July 14, 2021. I placed a mobile order at 1pm as I was leaving on my lunch break. I get to Tropical Smoothie and there are several people with mobile orders that "have not been received" by the store. However, mine was received and I waited 25 minutes before politely asking for a refund as my lunch break was no over and I was exceeding my time. I was told my order was coming up shortly. 15 minutes later I asked for a refund the second time. The manager came to the register and she and the cashier were discussing the situation. The manager walked off to handle other issues. As I wait at the register for another 10 minutes, I rudely told the manager that I needed to be taken care of immediately!!!!! Because I'm already AWAL from work and I'm clearly not getting any food today. After another 5 minutes. I'm then told I can't be refunded by the store because I placed a mobile order and it operates from a different system. I walked out. No food, no smoothie, no lunch, and no refund. I love tropical smoothie! It is certainly one of my favorite places to visit the most. I am a big fan of their wraps and their smoothies. I enjoy getting the pesto chicken and the mango magic with protein. I do think however that because their prices are so high I can't give it a full 5 stars. read more
