I first tried tropical smoothie off of the t-mobile codes my family got and I wasn't expecting much but this place is great! The chicken pesto sandwich is a great deal for ~8 bucks with chips and there is plenty of protein inside. The smoothies themselves are always very consistent and great without added sugar. I always get the detox green island smoothie with acai/straberry instead of mango/pineapple and it is refreshing and gives me energy through out the day. They are always 5-10 min. No issues with the online platform as I am able to subsititute certain ingredients in my smoothie to my liking. I always get the Detox Smoothie and sub the mango for strawberries. It's an indulgence to get but sometimes just need tthe little pick me up (or out..it is a detox smoothie lol) I usually drink it when I'm ill or just feel like Im dragging around. I kept seeing Tropical Smoothie Café all over Yelp and had no idea it was a chain establishment. This whole time, I thought it was some small local spot in Pearland. Once I realized that this place is everywhere, I figured I need to hurry up and try it already. I ordered the wrap and smoothie combo online. I received confirmation that it would be ready in about 15 minutes. When I got there, I was greeted immediately by a nice employee. They have a cubby area for to go orders and my order was ready. I was in the store for less than a minute, but as I grabbed my food and headed to the door, another nice employee said bye. Something as small as saying hi and bye really left a good impression. Also, they had some great music playing and I wouldn't have been mad if my order wasn't ready so I could enjoy the music haha. Supergreen Caesar Chicken Wrap - I was expecting the wrap to be served cold for some reason, but it was warm and it was delicious. It was a tad salty, but the flavors were good. The tortilla was toasted nicely and I liked the Parmesan crisps. It had a good amount of Caesar dressing. Kale and Apple Slaw - This was okay. It had a bit too much dressing for my preference. I liked the contrast of sweet and tart flavors. Detox Island Green Smoothie - This was good, but it was heavy on the banana. If I were to order this again, I would 86 the banana. It's not as good as the Ginger n Greens smoothie at Jamba, but it was decent. You can modify ingredients like the type of sugar (the standard is turbinado) or do add ins or supplements for a fee. My order totaled $13 even which isn't too bad. I wish there was a way to add tip on the order form (if there is, then I missed it). I'm a sucker for a good sandwich so I suspect I'll be visiting Tropical Smoothie Café more often. read more

Smoothies are great and I believe this is a black-owned franchise, so I'm happy to support! However, I must say the customer service is shit. Please train your employees to speak and greet guests, to have enthusiasm when speaking, and to not just stare and expect me to start talking. That really ruined my experience, however, I will be back because the smoothies are good. I came September 23, 2023 around 12 PM noon and one of the workers (slimmer Black woman with cap and moles) was very cold and rude. I don't know if she wasn't having a good day, but we all have bad days. I try to be empathetic, but again.. fake it until you make it or call off if you're not in a mentally sane mood for your service job that day. Just my opinion. Gotta love Tropical Smoothie Cafe. This location is in an empty plaza on Broadway, so it can get pretty busy in the area, but they're usually pretty fast with orders. The last time I came in for my Beach Bum with dark chocolate after ordering it via the app. I like to wait until I get close to order because I don't want my smoothie just sitting out before I get there, so when I walked in, it wasn't ready. No one greeted me or said, "Hello," or, "Welcome in," but every person looked my way. I stood by the counter where pick up orders usually are, and it took about 3-5 minutes before anyone actually said something to me. Finally someone asked my name and what I ordered. When I told them, they mentioned they would get on it right away. I came in today and my experience was once again less than satisfactory. Ordered via the app as always. When I walked in, it was pretty busy, so I waited by the pick up area for my smoothie. I wait and wait and wait. After a while of people coming and leaving before me (about 15-20 min), I go over by the cash registers and see my smoothie behind the counter. Now, why is it behind the counter instead of in the designated area for pick up orders? Why did no one call my name or at the very least ask me what I was waiting on since it was clear I had an online order and had been standing inside for almost 20 min? I asked one of the workers for my drink and mentioned how long I had been waiting. My experience at tropical smoothie cafe in Manvel,TX was the absolute worst. When I walked in I saw the employees sitting on the counter on their phones. When I got to the counter to order they were out of a basic necessity (yogurt). At this point I was already thinking about leaving. After I ordered I discovered that my açaí bowls were not their regular creamy consistency that I had many times before. They were liquid! I was extremely disappointed. I hate to say that I wasted $20 on two açaí bowls that were terrible! I will never recommend this location to anyone! Every time I come to this location the establishment is clean and the workers are friendly. I usually get the green detox smoothie and it's always smooth and creamy. They have specials where you can get a full size smoothie for cheaper with the purchase of an entree. They also have add-ins like oats, almonds, and even peanut butter to make them more of a meal replacement if that's what you're looking for. They have a pretty good rewards program too, and I've already earned a free smoothie. Of course, that's likely because I've been so often since joining lol. I took the kids to try this place for the first time yesterday, and we were so very impressed! Walking in, the fruity and citrusy smells are a wonderful greeting, followed immediately by a chorus of friendly welcomes from the staff. We ordered two of the kids menu smoothies -- the Lil Limey is amazing -- and one from the normal menu, the Sunrise Sunset. All three were delicious and made very quickly! But here's the best part and the reason I'm here leaving this review-- loading back into the car, my 5-year-old daughter dropped her smoothie on the pavement and started kinda beating herself up over it. Within 30 seconds, a worker came out and asked what flavor it was! They offered napkins and help while making another smoothie completely free!
