Absolutely disgusted.

Absolutely mortified, my smoothie tastes like vomit and deer meat. I have never experienced such blasphemy to my most favorite, splendiforus food. If The Godfather taught me anything, it's that respect matters--and this Tropical Smoothie Café clearly never got the memo. I walked in expecting a refreshing Sunshine Smoothie, but what I got tasted like a crime against fruit and humanity. If Don Corleone himself had been served this monstrosity, someone would be sleeping with the fishes. The texture? Grainy, watery, and sad, like it had been blended by a broken garbage disposal. The taste? Imagine if a banana, orange, and mango had a bitter family feud, and instead of making peace, they settled their differences by assaulting my taste buds. I've had cough syrup that was more enjoyable. To make things worse, I waited an eternity--long enough for Michael Corleone to plot an entire takeover--only for them to hand me this lukewarm, melted insult in a cup. I looked at the employee with the same disappointment Vito had when Sonny ignored his orders. But unlike Sonny, my taste buds didn't get a quick death--they suffered slowly and painfully. Bottom line? This smoothie is the Fredo of beverages--weak, disappointing, and better off thrown overboard. Avoid at all costs.

This is the 3rd Tropical Smoothie Cafe I've been to for the Acaí Bowl. Every time, there has been something wrong with the fruit. This one had CANNED pineapples! You can see how dark they are in the photo I took. I'm not trying them anymore. ‍

Today was my first experience trying the food at here. Over the years I've consumed so many flavorful smoothies. After browsing menu my tastebuds were pushing me toward Chicken Jerk Wrap but the Chicken Pesto also sounded tasty, so I ordered both as take aways. I had sweet potatoes and kale apple slaw as sides. Once my order was ready the cashier was nice enough to bring it over to me. I couldn't wait to finish last errand to get home and finally taste my food. The jerk chicken had black beans inside wrap with rice and fresh greens. My 1st bite reminded me of why I rarely to casual spots that a part of chains often. It was really salty. However the sweet potatoes are smashing, full of flavor well cooked with nice bit of char. So next I sliced into chicken pesto Flatbread it was a delightful good surprise . The food in this entree tasted fresh, not over seasoned at all I actually used some balsamic vinegar as a dip for this it really made the dish pop alive. The kale slaw was so fresh I luv hearing apple crunch with each bite. Its an overall pleasant 1st I must say. I stopped here instead of my once dependant quick lunch spot Chipotle but since there methods of dealing with food shortage nation wide it has made me pass my business on to other vendors.

I have stopped off at This Cafe Franchise in the OB a few times.. I enjoyed the Hawaiian Breeze Smoothie. Not a bad price for $1.79. The Cafe offers a complete menu. They have flatbed, bistro and toasted wrap sandwiches, Salads and a Breakfast Menu to boot. The Smoothie Menu consist of a selection that will make your head swim. You have Coffee, Low Fat , Supercharged, Indulgent, and Super Fruit Smoothies. They have 34 choices of Smoothies. I have not tried any of the food yet. But I am a fan of the Smoothie. You can go to their web site for nutritional values and info on a Tropical Smoothie Cafe franchise. The decor has a tropical flair and very clean. They could use some steel drum music playing in the back round. I was greeted with a smile and a welcome. My order was placed and I was on my way in a matter of 5 minutes. Located in a shopping center so lots of parking.

Chipotle Chicken Flatbread with Get Up and Goji!

My co-workers and I have this Tropical Smoothie as our go to spot. Perfectly convenient and so good. I have gotten the half sandwich and smoothie combo for about 8 bucks and feel so good every time. My stomach doesn't feel too full nor too empty. I usually have a Chipotle Chicken Flatbread with a smoothie for $3.50 more. For the smoothies I think the Sunrise Sunset smoothies are easy to drink if you want a little bit of sweet after the savory sandwich/flatbread. The Goji one is pretty good as well and nice how they have add ons to supercharge the smoothies or if you are feeling a little sluggish you can always get some detox smoothies with loads of greens. I have been to one other tropical smoothie in the triangle area, but this one by far is my favorite. The workers seem happier and have been super helpful in suggestions for my indecisive mind.

While my wrap and smoothie were excellent, I was disappointed that a restaurant that boasts "eat better, feel better" as their slogan did not have nutritional information readily available. Unfortunately, I couldn't find any anywhere. So, I got my food to go and looked up what I could find on my computer, and I can see why they don't post the information. Beware! Per MyFitness Pal, The Super green Caesar Wrap, although fresh and delicious, has 610 calories and 1,460 mg of sodium!! That's almost half of your daily intake. I wouldn't have expected that from a relatively small wrap filled with romaine, kale, and spinach. My mocha madness smoothie (with low-fat yogurt) was 588 calories :( If you aren't trying to eat healthy, then go for it because it was very fresh and tasty otherwise.

Just wanted to take the time to clap for the staff here…read more I've only been here twice now. But both times the service was SO fast. I came here on a week day and it was packed but the kitchen seemed steady. Their service is very stream lined with pagers for food orders. There is a lot of seating but it also seems to be a place where a good chunk of people come to work. They have a library inside as well and the books at the time were all $3 ea. Today I came and it's a Sunday. As expected they were SLAMMED. Line to the door of people waiting and line to the door of people ordering. I still got my coffee in less than 5 min. People waiting on food were getting theirs in similar time. The staff was killing it! They have a large selection of baked goods (lots of laminated dough), fast casual breakfast & lunch, and a huge coffee menu. They also have gluten free options for food and about a dozen gf/df baked goods. They said they have separate prep space and changed gloves for gluten free food but it's a shared oven. I didn't have any issues though. To who ever is managing your kitchen and staff, you're doing a great job. To the staff, hats off Highly recommend this place for a light breakfast and good coffee, or just a good place to hang out on your laptop.

I came in a little after lunch shift the other day and was a bit indecisive about my order but the very patient and nice girl at the counter helped me decide. I ended up ordering the Meatball with Provolone. The sandwich was well made with large meatballs and both the bread and the meat tasted fresh. Previously I had issues with the line situation, but in this case there was only one other person in the restaurant, so that was less of an inconvenience. The other, more serious issue centered around gnats and flies. I can confidently say that was not an issue when I revisted the other day. I was pleased with my second visit and the friendly, helpful girl who served me, I believe her name was Leah. I plan to return and perhaps I can convince my work to cater from here in the near future.

Italian sandwich was fine. Nothing special. Chose the white bread (maybe a poor choice on my part)…read morebut very 'meh.' Pickles were good. "Giant" sandwich is somewhat true in that the bread is over-sized compared to sliced bread -- but meat was lacking for sure. Friendly greeting upon entering. Clean and tidy...and naturally lit store inside. Nice patio seating. Kind of expensive for a simple sandwich. Not worth another visit.

They have a wide variety of sandwiches (hogies, deli style, cheesesteaks, chicken cutlets), along with burger and salad options. We opted for a cheesesteak, deli sandwich, and small salad which was the perfect amount of food for two people. My only word of caution is that the Calabrian Ceasar dressing is quite spicy, so use with caution or pick another if you don't like spicy food. The bread, meat, and toppings were all fresh and brought unique flavors that worked very well together. There was a good amount of seating both inside and outside that was clean and well kept. Be sure to check out the daily drink specials too - when we went it was $2 Tecate cans. Will definitely be back!

My family & I were in the Raleigh area around lunchtime so we decided to stop by Raleigh Iron Works…read moreand eat somewhere. We landed on Eastcut Sandwich Bar. You can order at the counter or sit at a table and scan a QR code to order. We sat outside and did the latter option. I ordered a regular sized Dagwood. It's your choice of turkey or ham, bacon, fresh mozzarella, shredded lettuce, tomato, basil pesto, garlic aioli, & house vinaigrette on a sesame roll. I chose turkey with no garlic aioli. The online menu made it super easy to choose and/or remove ingredients. We also ordered a large order of curly fries to share too. The food came out in about 10ish minutes after ordering and an employee delivered it straight to our table. The sandwich was really good. I love pesto so it's hard to go wrong with that. My only critique was the sesame roll was a little too hard to bite for my taste. Whenever I bit into it, my sandwich kept falling apart from the other end. The true star of the meal were the curly fries. They tasted similar to the ones at Arby's. Parking was super easy to find in this area. There was an open lot not too far from Eastcut so we parked there and walked over. Overall, great place for a quick bite!
