Smoothie was good but they only offer one size which is HUGE at 24oz. You'd think a cafe that specializes in smoothies would give you at least 3 size options like a normal place. If they changed that I would definitely be moving up to a 4 star rating. read more

I have been coming to TSC forever. I went today and had an entertainment coupon. Not only did I wait in line for awhile when there was one person ahead of me with a complicated order, there were two girls in the back just standing around. No one came up to the cash register. When we finally go up to order, the cashier looked at the coupon and said "oh, our boss said we can't take these." Not only was it rude, but I looked at the coupon and said, isn't this tropical smoothie cafe? Just shady business to me. I could have cared less about the cost. People pay good money for entertainment books. The "boss" should know that by not giving a bogo sandwhich, they lost a customer... Not the smartest business move. read more

Just discovered this little gem today. My Turkey wrap was awesome! The wrap was toasted and the ingredients were fresh and flavorful. The only reason I don't give 5 stars is because I had to wait quite a while for the wrap and it is a little pricey. Can't wait to go back and try the smoothies! read more

By far the best smoothies I have ever had! The staff is friendly and the place is clean. You can call ahead and they will make your smoothie so it is ready to go immediately. Because the smoothies are freshly made it does take about 5 minutes for one but they are worth it!!! read more

The food and smoothie was good but when I went to pay for the meal I gave them a coupon from the entertainment coupon book and they wouldn't take it. Why is the coupon in the book since the place has to OK it before going in? The cashier only response to me was that they just DON'T take the coupon, which was a poor excuse. I asked if I had the wrong place and she said no just that they do not take the coupon. The main reason for going there was to try this place with a coupon. Don't think I will be going back and I will report them to the coupon book that has their coupons in there. read more

Horrible service. It seems that each time I go my order is messed up in some way. Today I placed my order. The girl read it back, it was what I ordered. But when they gave me my food my order was missing a sandwich. I went back to the register to tell the girl that took my order and she agreed I needed my sandwich and went out back. When she returned a person who seemed to be a manager I'm guessing came and informed me I did not order that sandwich. Printed my recipe to show me. I informed her I sure did and if they messed up they needed to fix it. She continued to want to argue with me. I expressed again I did not care they made a mistake I just wanted my sandwich. She then wrang me up and was going to over charge me after she just should have fixed her mistake as good customer service. When she went out back to make my missing sandwich she then was talking to other employees about it who then kept looking and make smirks at me. Showing me she was complaining about me to her employees HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! My daughter and I frequent here a lot. But they need to get on the ball with getting orders correct and learning what good customer service is. read more

Very impressed by their selection, ingredients, and their prices. They have quality stuff and great combo options (I love the half sandwich/salad and smoothie option... Or add a smoothie to any food item for $3.50 - you can't beat that!) the smoothies are huge and they don't add a bunch of sugar or use syrups. Great stuff! read more

I love the detox smoothie and the Avocolada! Their fish tacos are a great lunch portion and full of flavor. The regular smoothie size is a great value. The options for add-ins are plentiful. They've never gotten my order wrong and the staff at the Wake Forest Road location is always friendly and quick. read more

This is definitely going to be my new go to when I'm in Cary-- I got a buffalo chicken wrap with no ranch and it was awesome, and very healthy too - (grilled chicken) I'm on a diet so it's nice to find something on the menu I don't have to modify 5 thousand ways! They have gorgeous decor- vintage metal chairs and rustic wood floors with bright beachy scenes and very clean bathrooms. Plus the girls up front , Ambria and Paulina were very friendly and accommodating. Also- this was their opening day apparently and for a brand new restaurant, even in general, they really had their act together. read more

Alright listen. The lady that seems to own this place is a customer hating sandwich nazi. I have gone to tropical smoothies all over the place because I travel. Not once has anyone ever given me any issues when I ordered a "Mediterranean Veggie Flatbread". It was on the menu a while ago...it's awesome and if they wanna make it...I'll gladly order it. And 100% of tropical smoothies I have visited in VA, SC and NC, EXCEPT for this one (lucky me, the one right next to my house) have been glad to make this sandwich, with ZERO hesitation. This lady is like (Ah hell no...not in MY restaurant. If it's not on the menu, kiss my ass if you think I'm gonna make it for you...). To be fair, she never said that but, it's the perception she puts out. She has literally stopped her cashier mid transaction and told her not to make it for me. Funny thing is...they CAN make it, cause when she isn't there, they gladly make it for me and give me this look look (I know my boss is weird about this sandwich towards you). So basically, it's not that she CANT, it's that she WONT. I have worked in customer service for 20 years and bottom line, a smart business owner gives the customer what they want. I could see if I was asking her to make me a pizza or something that they don't even have...but Jesus, I could go to Cameron village and get exactly what I want, with a smile! So... argumentative owner...I will drive 20 mins to go to a restaurant that is literally 2 minutes from my house. Smart move. In my opinion the best healthy eating establishment you'll find in Raleigh. I'm a big smoothies guy and their smoothies are so good, many different healthy flavors. Only good comments about the store. Is the decor and prices. And many good items to order. The only problem the service. Several times the not good times. And repeated same behavior. By the female employees. We left after the last time. Manager said not any problems except the customers. And customers are the problems not the employees. Corporate apologized. Though enough not to go back. Females employees nice to males. The problems start with female employees. They not know what we order, repeated times. Yell and interrupt, talk back rude,rush to get rid of, walk away in the middle of wait on females. We had to ask them to come back and finish the job. Told them over charged and have to get adjustment. They would give us our order wrong. Told them we have to go elsewhere. And took up too much time. And order not ready. A refund and we not accomplish anything there. Saw other plates of food that the customers had. And a full plate of food. read more

This Tropical Smoothie just lost my business for one reason, mixed responses from four different employees regarding senior discount; over the past several weeks my family (wife, daughter and her family) and I have regularly ordered from this TS location, during three of those most recent visits, three different employees honored a request to give me a senior discount (10%). I had been previously told by this TS's owner (more than a year ago) that she does not offer senior discount any longer. I decided when placing these more recent orders to simply ask the staff person at the register if they now offer such discount and without hesitation, he took 10% off bill. As mentioned, I returned to same TS, placed orders with two different employees, both providing similar discount. Today, I returned to order Smoothie and employee reported with a firm assurance, they do not offer senior discounts. I told her that three other employees had recently done so, and she repeated, we don't offer such discount. Before leaving the store, the owner walked up to the counter and asked what had happened. I told her and she repeated we don't offer such discount. I told her I will be taking my business to another location that has always offered seniors a 10% discount without fail. I just noticed when reviewing TS's website that a new TS is opening soon that is closer to my home than one on Creedmoor Road; just another reason to not have to return to this store in the future. read more
