The employees and the general manager made a huge impact on me today! There was a mishap where another customer with the same/similar name took my food while I was in the restroom and I was sitting there waiting for my food for quite a while, not knowing it was already out the door in the wrong hands. Well! When this was all figured out, the general manager made my food for me quickly and sent me on my way with a ticket for a free smoothie and wrap for my next visit. I'm very happy that they not only made my food the second time with a smile on their faces, but took the extra step to send me off happier with my coupon for the next time. Handled well. High-fives all around! Aside from that one experience, the staff is always very pleasant to speak with and have fast service. My favorite things to get here are the avocolada smoothie and the chia banana smoothie. Both are nutritious and delicious. If I want something that isn't a smoothie I get the hummus veggie wrap with no ranch and no cheese to make it vegan-friendly. Tip! I always ask them to remove the turbunado sugar. But you can also ask them to only put 25%, 50%, or 75% sugar. Or replace with honey (I think they have agave nectar as well). Tip! Poor customer service. I literally go here all the time, sometimes 4x a week, spend a ton of money here, and it's happened twice now that I've gotten there exactly 1/2 min before closing because I'm coming from work and there's traffic (something that if I could avoid I would) and they refused to let me pay even when my food is already made and ready to go and I've called at least 30 minutes ahead of time. I understand having to close, I'm also in retail, but I've made an effort to call multiple times to let them know I was on my way, and it's just poor customer service. We stayed away from Tropical Smoothie for awhile. It seemed like the quality had gone down. But! Recently we have rediscovered TS and it's better than before! We particularly love this location. We just moved to the community here and we've been here almost a dozen times already. Sure, you should expect a delay during lunch time. That's just normal for anywhere serving food at lunch though. They are efficient with their system of taking orders, and getting them out in order. If you're in a hurry they have an app now and you can order ahead! It's really a nice feature. Seating inside consists of high top tables, booths, and tables. There are also a number of tables outside with umbrellas. They have a kids menu too. It's not posted but it's in the paper menu or you can find it online. My 3 year olds LOVE having their own little smoothie. We've had them share one a few times and the staff are really friendly and give us an extra cup for that. I was impressed today with the staff. The manager (I think) was training a front order taker and she was covering in detail what he should do. Like having him practice answering the phone and such. Training is so important to having good quality staff. Great work tropical!! For food we are vegetarian so we always get the hummus veggie wrap. But! You can ask for alternate "chicken". Love this option! Our favorite smoothie is the Health Nut and we get it with whey or pea protein depending on what we are wanting that day. So far I haven't had a bad wrap here. My son enjoyed the kids quesadilla recently and I love that they have a fruit option for a side now. Once I did order my kids the breakfast pb and banana wrap but they weren't into it. I have used this location multiple times for both breakfast and lunch catering when we have events at our office nearby in World Golf Village. In all honesty I first chose it solely because it was the closest place I could find that would deliver to us. Both Nick (the owner) and Stacy (who is in charge of catering) are super friendly and helpful every time I've contacted them. My personal favorite is their veggie hummus wrap (so good). I like to order the boxes so each person has not only their sandwich but chips and a cookie all in one neat, easy to clean up package. I went in last week and purchased a smoothie and chipotle chicken wrap. I got to my vehicle and decided to check the wrap. The tomatoes still had the stems on them. I took it in and showed them. She took the wrap and was debating with another employee about fixing it. Finally they replaced it. Gave me the wrap back and never once said anything not even sorry for the trouble. I filled out the survey expressing my concerns. I got a email stating they will do there best to make the experience better for the customer. Again, no apology. When this location first opened, the quality seemed to be quite a bit better than it is now. We've had multiple times with orders being incorrect, or too much dressing, or just poor quality. The salad options sometimes don't seem fresh and the chicken used seems questionable at best. It drives me absolutely insane when this chain cuts corners on wraps. I have had the same issue with other locations but always thought that this location was very solid until today. I ordered the Baja chicken wrap and instead of warming up the chicken and the contents separately the way it should be, they put everything together in the wrap and then in the oven so you end up with wilted hot lettuce and hot guacamole on top of chewy non-hot chicken and non-melted cheese which basically creates a disgusting soup inside of a wrap. Take the extra 30 seconds to make the sandwich right and I promise you you will get more business. It's a little bit further away than I would like, but my fiancé and I wanted some smoothies to recover from Saturday night festivities. After I ordered, I realized I forgot my wallet at home and didn't have enough money to pay for everything. But they took the money I had and gave me the entire order of food and smoothies!
