Chicken Pesto Caprese
Kelly L.

This has quickly become my go-to sandwich spot whenever I'm visiting my parents. I tried the chicken pesto caprese and subbed the regular tomatoes for sun-dried tomatoes and it was honestly amazing. The sandwich is pretty big, which I actually love because it easily turns into two meals for me. Everything tasted really fresh, including the bread, and you can tell they use quality ingredients. I liked it so much that I stopped in again on my way out of town to try one of their breakfast sandwiches. They serve it on a roll just like they do in NYC, which immediately caught my attention. The egg, cheese, and bacon were all great and hit the spot. I was hoping the roll would be just a little better, but it was still pretty close to the kind I'm used to getting at my favorite breakfast spots in NYC. Overall, definitely a place I'll keep coming back to whenever I'm in town. Great sandwiches and really solid breakfast sandwiches too.

I love this place! The bread alone is out of this world! The crunch on the semolina roll is just divine! Having a Italian sub shop near by is soo wonderful( and dangerous for my Italian sub loving self) I do wish the prices were a bit more reasonable but every time I bite into the sub.. I forget this part and just get mesmerized by the flavors and think to myself self "it's so worth it for this delicious sub!" Staff are always very kind and fast for how busy they get! The layout seems pretty typical for a to-go shop and I would expect it to turn into a sit down since most people are taking them to go anyways! I would love some more imported food options! That would be lovely!! Well it's been a few days since my last sub so I guess I'm due for another soon!

Having an authentic Italian deli near the house is an absolute score for us. Breakfast and lunch, this place is the absolute best! We love the fresh mozzarella, and the warm seeded semolina sub rolls. Each sandwich is packed with excellent meats, veggies, and toppings. The bread is crusty and soooo good. I get the rolls with butter and even that is just perfection. Still need to try the rice balls and meatballs, but there's time! Great and friendly service! It's usually pretty busy, but that's only because it's so good!

Italian Chicken Cutlet with Hot Cappi! So good! Cutlets are thin, breaded and made in house.

***EAT FOOD FROM HERE ***. **THANK ME LATER** Don't get me wrong, Della Torre's Lunch is amazing - BUT........ The Breakfast Sandwich is what I cannot live without! The Rolls are straight from NYC and you can taste it! Breakfast time is usually off peak, beware they draw a mob for lunch! Better for take out as they have limited seating.

Easy access in/out of shopping. Clean. Only three tables with 8 chairs ... so technically dine-in is an option. We came here specifically for lunch to try it - we have a list and checking them off. Very friendly greeting. Owner/Chef seemed to know the regulars by name and very gregarious. Accent gives him away as a NY'r immediately. We had to wait a few minutes for bread to finish baking, but no big deal. Happy to. Everything smelled delicious. We had two fried chicken parm hero sandwiches ... incredible amount of chicken on the roll with cheese - very filling. Nice flavor; but definitely needed more sauce - perhaps on the side to add based on taste. Philly Cheesesteak ... might just say "cheesesteak" vs bringing Philly into the mix ... do not confuse this with Pat's King of Steaks or Geno's Steaks at the south end of 9th Street in South Philly. It was filling but needed some more flavors. And a THE SWEATY SICILIAN -- Spicy soppressata, spicy capocollo, prosciutto, provolone, lettuce, hot cherry pepper, olive oil and balsamic glaze. The spice and the cherry pepper were calling! Friend said it was great! This was about a 35 minute drive from our house ... unlikely to repeat soon. Solid 3.5 or 3.8 // 5 score.

The Little Italy

Had the taste for Chicken parm. Got there on a Sunday at 1:30 they were out of chicken, sauce and fresh mozzarella. I had the Philly Cheese Steak and my husband had the Little Italy. Both very good! The customer service good and the people are friendly. I am sure this place will do well. We will be back.

This is the place for an authentic Italian sandwich! Everything is fresh and the bread makes it perfect. Mainly a take-out place with only a few tables. The sandwiches are big and they don't skimp out on the chicken cutlets. This will be my new go-to Italian deli sandwich shop.

Food is great. Bread brought in from NY. Great service. Only sandwhich shop. Not a deli.

The French Pantry in St. Augustine surprised me -- way more upscale than I expected, especially if…read moreyou've been to the Jacksonville spot. That one's more grab-and-go bakery vibes, but this location is full-on fine dining. Spacious, elegant decor, the kind of place you'd actually dress up a little for. We got the chicken panini, bang bang shrimp, and pesto bucatini, and honestly all three were really good. Nothing fell flat. The bucatini had great flavor, the shrimp had that perfect crunch with a good kick, and the panini was solid comfort food done right. Service was great too -- attentive without hovering. If you only know them from Jacksonville, this location is a totally different experience. Worth the trip.

This is a beautiful little restaurant, we were greeted once we entered by a very friendly hostess, she directed us to the pastry counter once she understood our intentions - everything looked delicious and after only a minute or two a friendly member of the staff prepared our order (2) slices of wedding cake. This is definitely a restaurant I'd return to for lunch based on the food I observed while waiting for our takeout, everything looked delicious. Unfortunately the wedding cake was so disappointing it was pre-sliced and wrapped in the case, it was very cold and heavy, the filling was very thin but made the layers soggy like it had been made a few days earlier and sat and it had very little icing - this was so disappointing especially after going out of our way to get here and fighting the St. Augustine traffic. I'd like to try something from their sandwich menu and maybe a loaf of their fresh baked bread but definitely will avoid anything out of the dessert case...

Oh my, oh my, oh my, this is an AMAZING food truck. So worth the trip wherever they happen to be…read more Always check their Facebook page, they post where they are each week. I had seen their reviews and had secretly been stalking them. Yelp errantly listed their Thursday location as Julington Creek, but instead it is normally Flagler Station, so I bided my time until I was near Flagler Station on a Thursday. Guess what? I ordered a %#*€ ton of food. Guess what what? It was incredible. Guess what what what? Service was friendly, like you were dining at a friends house. Okay, I am sure you are dismissing my stalking story, which is what I will do if I am ever questioned by the police. But you really want to hear about the food. Meatballs - I really want to find out how he makes his meatballs, they are DELICIOUS. But don't take my word, order them then send me a thank you through Yelp. Cheesy Bread - good, light, super crisp and chewy at the same time. Pepperoni Pizza - I am not a fan of pepperoni, so don't judge me. My son loves pepperoni and he liked this pizza. White Pizza - I think he made a deal with the devil, because I could eat my weight in this pizza, one of the best I have had anywhere. FANTASTICO. Not sure where they are? Call ahead and Sal will drop you a pin. But run, don't walk because I have a feeling they sell out every night.
