The restaurant has a very nice atmosphere with friendly and professional welcoming staff. My wife and I went for the first time and my intent was to simply get a turkey and provolone hoagie. However, I saw a Chicken Parmesan hoagie that I didn't notice when looking at the menu online and had to have it. The prepared hoagie looked fantastic before I even opened it. It was huge so I only took out half and it was delicious. Unfortunately though, the chicken was very tough and took quite a bit of chewing to get through the half I ate. I hate to have to put that in my review here, but it simply was very tough to eat and I don't think I'll be able to eat the other half, sadly. I probably should have just gotten what I planned to get in the first place, but either way it won't prevent us from returning and I will simply try something else. My wife loved her Philly cheese steak sandwich and had no issues. We both recommend this restaurant, just not the Chicken Parmesan hoagie. read more

This has quickly become my go-to sandwich spot whenever I'm visiting my parents. I tried the chicken pesto caprese and subbed the regular tomatoes for sun-dried tomatoes and it was honestly amazing. The sandwich is pretty big, which I actually love because it easily turns into two meals for me. Everything tasted really fresh, including the bread, and you can tell they use quality ingredients. I liked it so much that I stopped in again on my way out of town to try one of their breakfast sandwiches. They serve it on a roll just like they do in NYC, which immediately caught my attention. The egg, cheese, and bacon were all great and hit the spot. I was hoping the roll would be just a little better, but it was still pretty close to the kind I'm used to getting at my favorite breakfast spots in NYC. I love this place! The bread alone is out of this world! The crunch on the semolina roll is just divine! Having a Italian sub shop near by is soo wonderful( and dangerous for my Italian sub loving self) I do wish the prices were a bit more reasonable but every time I bite into the sub.. I forget this part and just get mesmerized by the flavors and think to myself self "it's so worth it for this delicious sub!" Staff are always very kind and fast for how busy they get! The layout seems pretty typical for a to-go shop and I would expect it to turn into a sit down since most people are taking them to go anyways! I would love some more imported food options! Having an authentic Italian deli near the house is an absolute score for us. Breakfast and lunch, this place is the absolute best! We love the fresh mozzarella, and the warm seeded semolina sub rolls. Each sandwich is packed with excellent meats, veggies, and toppings. The bread is crusty and soooo good. I get the rolls with butter and even that is just perfection. Still need to try the rice balls and meatballs, but there's time! Great and friendly service! Easy access in/out of shopping. Clean. Only three tables with 8 chairs ... so technically dine-in is an option. We came here specifically for lunch to try it - we have a list and checking them off. Very friendly greeting. Owner/Chef seemed to know the regulars by name and very gregarious. Accent gives him away as a NY'r immediately. We had to wait a few minutes for bread to finish baking, but no big deal. Happy to. Everything smelled delicious. We had two fried chicken parm hero sandwiches ... incredible amount of chicken on the roll with cheese - very filling. Nice flavor; but definitely needed more sauce - perhaps on the side to add based on taste. Philly Cheesesteak ... might just say "cheesesteak" vs bringing Philly into the mix ... do not confuse this with Pat's King of Steaks or Geno's Steaks at the south end of 9th Street in South Philly. It was filling but needed some more flavors. And a THE SWEATY SICILIAN -- Spicy soppressata, spicy capocollo, prosciutto, provolone, lettuce, hot cherry pepper, olive oil and balsamic glaze. Came here because we had a hankering for a chicken parm sub. This location is tucked away in the WGV area, so it can be easy to miss, but just put their address in your GPS and you should get there! When we arrived, it was located in a new shopping plaza. We walked in and were greeted by the staff. There were people waiting for their orders. After looking over the menu, my mom and I decided to each get chicken parm subs. We spoke to the owner, who mentioned he was from Brooklyn. He asked us if we wanted seeded or non seeded bread, we both went for seeded. He was very friendly, let us know that for the holidays you can order trays of pasta and handed us a catering menu. There aren't more than two tables located in the entire place, so you can either eat there, take your items to go, or eat in your car. We were able to snag a table in the back. My kiddo and his cousin mentioned they were both hungry, so we ordered them each a hardroll with butter. Hard rolls are pretty standard up in NY and they're very hard to find (at least good ones) here in Fl. They were nominally priced for $2.50. I ordered them each one and they were ready in a jiffy. Both kids LOVED their hard rolls with butter. Our chicken parm subs were done and we were eager to dig in. The real test of chicken parm subs are the thickness of the cutlets (these were thin....that's the way to do it). Each sub carefully crafted with perfect amounts of mozzarella and sauce. The bread was out of this world. Crispy and chewy at the same time. They also offer cold cut subs and typical Italian deli meats like gabagool and prosciutto. We found out they order their rolls from Staten Island and get them shipped. The subs and bread were delicious and def worth the trip here. read more

Food was ok. I wasn't as impressed as I wanted it to be. I was really looking forward to having a nice Italian place as a go to.......however I was very disappointed......... The service was poor. They lost my order of one sandwich that I waited over and hour for the first time that I visited the restaurant. They could not find my paid ticket to make the sandwich. I then had to wait another twenty minutes for them to make my sandwich. The customers were extremely loud yelling back and forth to the staff. It was like chaos waiting for over an hour listening to so many people yelling back and forth. The second time that I went to visit the one sandwich took over and hour. I suggest to that the place let the customers ordering that it will take over and hour to receive the order when they are so busy with orders. I also suggest that somehow they provide more seating so we don't have to stand for over an hour while waiting for the order. The prices weren't great for the small portion sizes. Sadly, visiting two times with a chaotic atmosphere isn't something that interest me in going back again. I tried this place twice. First right after they opened and they were struggling and being a new business I decided to give them some grace and not leave a review and instead give them another try. I went back in yesterday a month later and there was no change to my experience. They were no where near as busy, yet it was still mass chaos and the owner was more busy talking to a customer about New York than making sandwiches and there were people waiting for their food and it seemed like nothing was moving. I waited 25 min for 1 sandwich, which cost me $20 and I have no problem paying and waiting for good food, but this was far from it. Had to go back and give them a fair try after not having chicken cutlets at lunch the last time. This time they had it and the sandwiches were very good compared to other italian deli in the St Augustine area. I had the chicken parm hero. The chicken was nicely cooked, the bread was excellent for florida, and the service was very friendly. The only downside was a lack of sauce. They cut the cutlets into bite size pieces which made it very easy to eat and there was plenty of it. My wife had the chicken genovese on a hard roll. There was plenty of fresh mozzarella, chicken, and sun dried tomatoes and she substituted the red wine vinegar instead of balsamic. She said the broccoli rabe didn't really seem like broccoli rate. There were none of the flower parts. Sautéed it would be better. Again the roll was excellent. So we will definitely be back and will need to try a BEC. read more
