Came here with some friends on a Saturday morning. Joined the wait list and it didn't take too long for us to be seated. The restaurant was spacious, clean, and packed but it wasn't overcrowded. Once we were seated, our waitress came to take our orders. She was phenomenal! Service was great, we were taken care of, and our waters always refilled. I ordered the following: Honey butter mini biscuits: 8.5/10 - warm, fluffy, buttery, and it came with a side of honey butter and blueberry compote? The honey butter was the star and it was so delicious on top of the warm biscuit. They were mini sized but they in my opinion, was the perfect size. I loved the flavor of the blueberry compote but it was a little too runny for me. When you mix the whipped honey butter and blueberry together, it was so yummy!!! You get alot for your order too. We had plenty to go around and extra among the 3 of us. Market veggie sandwich with potatoes: 9/10 - I really enjoyed this sandwich. It will packed with roasted crimini mushrooms, onions and spinach with basil pesto, mayo and mozzarella cheese. I opted for a side of potatoes instead of their salad. The sandwich was hearty, flavorful, and fresh. But their potatoes were to die for! Perfectly crispy and buttery! I would absolutely get this sandwich again. Million dollar bacon: 9/10 - my favorite side of all time is their million dollar bacon. It's sweet, smokey, crispy, and has a hint of spice from the black pepper and cayenne. I absolutely enjoyed the candied bacon. I even put some in my veggie sandwich and it reminded me of an elevated BLT. Overall, First Watch is definitely a breakfast staple for us. I love first watch but this was my first time at this location. Came in for lunch on a Saturday with my friends. Our service was not great and our server kept going into the back and chatting with other staff so we'd have to get up and ask for things like silverware, side of potatoes that came with our meal and our check. Food is always good but side potatoes took forever to come out and were undercooked. Not the best experience but hopefully next time is better! read more

This is my go-to brekkie place!!! Always have great dishes and good variety with their seasonal menu. I always get the chicken apple sausage or million dollar bacon.... mmmmm so good! We honestly didn't know what to expect, but everything turned out so good. We kicked things off with mimosas, and I love the way they serve them here: a split of champagne and your own glass of juice. Cute, simple, and honestly the perfect brunch starter. The Million Dollar Bacon lived up to its name -- sweet, smoky, and ridiculously addictive. This spot easily earned its place as our new go-to brunch stop whenever we're in Jacksonville. I have been to First Watch several times, but this was my first time at this location and it was truly enjoyable. A catch up between girlfriends was fun with a tasty breakfast. First Watch is a place where you can get Boutique-style cooking from a Chain restaurant. I particularly like this place because they have cleaner eat option. They're not afraid to mix their menu with new & infused flavors. They have fresh squeezed juices and tonics. Also, ordering coffee comes with your own karafe. Walking into the restaurant it's tables and booths. I've only gone during the week so it's not crowd. All the rave this time is Lavendar French Toast. The subtle taste of lavender sweetened by mousse was a delight & the Kale Tonic is my favorite IT's just refreshing. Also, at the Mandarin location, there are tables near outlets. She not only ignored us to the point where we eventually just had to walk up to the counter to get our check (never got drink refills or asked if we needed anything else either), but we witnessed her go back in the kitchen to eat a cupcake AND LICK HER FINGERS before then picking up our food and bringing it to us. This is our number one breakfast spot! The food is always fresh and delicious. The servers are super friendly. They usually have new seasonal plates. They also have pressed juices which are great. My favorite one is the kale pressed juice. I also recommend the chia pudding with fruits... I'm literally addicted lol Service is usually pretty fast. Sometimes on the weekend it gets pretty full but they usually seat you pretty quickly compared to other restaurants I've been. The ambiance is family friendly, good vibes. After a bit of shopping at Plaza, we decided to stop by First Watch for a quick bite. It's part of a chain with mostly a breakfast menu. Went here on a Sunday at 11am and got a table within 15 mins! Service was quick and our waitress was really friendly. The BLT Benedict was one of the best things I've gotten here so far! There was a lemon-y vinaigrette on top which really made the dish so unique and delicious, highly would recommend! There were tons of gluten free options for someone in our group. My review is based on solely getting their food as a takeout option. We ordered two breakfasts online for to go and they were sooo good! We got the carnitas breakfast burrito special that they had and it was so tasty. It was a little bit spicy but the green salsa was just the right amount. It was full of pork, potatoes and eggs. Definitely did not skimp on the fillings. The other breakfast was their farmhouse hash. I absolutely hate tomatoes so the fact that they were willing to replace with mushrooms was great. I had placed the special request via their online ordering so the fact that they saw it, honored it and executed the request made it a huge plus. The fillings for the hash were bountiful as well. My husband even commented that it had so much bacon... maybe too much bacon?...nah! It was great!!! Their prices are reasonable and the quality of the food was just outstanding. Long time fan of First Watch! Often look for one nearby when traveling or just knocking about near my home turf. Stopped in at this location for a little Sunday afternoon lunch. Was somewhat disappointed; no Bloody Mary available here. I know not all of their locations serve alcohol, but a star is a star, ya know? I ordered the Monterey Club sandwich with tomato Basil soup. Portions of both were quite generous and tasty. What could make it better: 1. Toast the bread! Although FW chooses not to, everyone knows a superb club sandwich uses toasted bread, both for enhanced flavor and greater structural integrity (sogginess resistance). 2. Add a touch of fresh Basil to the tomato Basil soup. Although the tomatoes are flavorful, the Basil is barely detectable. Great concept with this dish; fine tune to make it better! read more

This is one of my favorite local brunch places. The inside is beautifully decorated with an urban farmhouse theme which is so inviting. We usually have a late breakfast and this place has a great menu which offers a lot of healthier options. Everything is always cooked with fresh ingredients and you can definitely taste it. I love their house coffee, it's bold but smooth. What I really like is they don't serve you a cup, they bring you a pot!! A perfect drink to start your day. I usually order from their seasonal menu which changes several times a year and is written on the large chalkboard located on the wall. One of my favorites was the Shrimp and Grits. It's the best I've ever tasted! It had the right amount of spice along with the plump shrimp and andouille sausage. Perfection! It was a very hearty meal that I wished they would of kept on their menu. I just hope they decide to bring it back. The only memory I have of it is a picture I took from last time. On par with our other pick for breakfast (Metro) in terms of creativity and quality. Over the years, we've had more kitchen SNAFUs here than the competition. Missing dishes and whatnot. But we do keep coming back because it's worth it. Today a "15 to 20 minute wait" to get seated really took 35. But the host was very polite and thanked us for bearing with them. Waitress was prompt at the table and bullied around the kitchen as needed to get our stuff out during a moderately busy shift. The egg on my quinoa bowl was over hard instead of over easy, but that's my only ding for the kitchen. Kids usually get chocolate chip pancakes. The wife and I usually get something healthy and leave the "traditional breakfast" for other diners in the area, where traditional is the -only- option. read more

I love first watch, the atmosphere is always wonderful and food is always great. My only complaint I would give is the inconsistency with the potatoes. Sometimes they're soft, sometimes you get them and they're burnt and soft. Otherwise everything is great, as a vegan I always really appreciate the options available and am so glad they brought the veggie burger back !!!! Sometimes when I'm unwell or my partner is unwell we order in first watch as a pick me up, they ran out of something I usually get and wrote a note with a substitute , it was really nice especially on a foggy day. I truly enjoyed my food experience magnificent Service. First visit. Looks like I found an A+ Gem in the Mandarin location. Christina second visit just delightful. Sabrina what a magnificent sweetheart. I have to egg Benedict BLT. Scrumptious. Orderly D licious ate the whole thing. (9/2/18). No box today. It's OK that they close at 2:30 PM. If they were to open just a little later I am so convinced that this especially particular location may be due to the management and organization of this place they would make. Triple the amount of revenue that they are making right now. Regardless of where I am at in Jax. I opt for this a First Watch. Coffee is deliciously fresh. If you request a fresh pot. Specially , with decaf, since it's not unusual for decaf to sit there. They gladly brew a fresh pot. Takes longer. But, is so worth the wait. As long as things don't change. The customer service was bad. When I first walked in and waited to be seated, the waitress saw me and didn't say anything; she just walked away so I was like okay she must be busy. Another guy was checking a customer out and looked at me but didn't say anything. I understand because he was busy. So I waited patiently. A couple came in after me and waited for maybe about 5 minutes or so. The guy that was checking the customer out looked at the couple and went "We will be with you guys shortly" but never said anything to me. Then the same girl (waitress) came up and greeted the couple, and asked "table for 2" to them. I was like ugh okay, and she looked at me and said "I'm sorry were you first?" (Clearly she saw me standing there waiting for about 10 minutes before the couple walked in, and yet dare to ask me that) I looked at her and went that's fine you can sit the couple first. She looked unhappy, and said "no since you got here first you go first. Table for one?" I told her no, table for 2, and would like to sit outside. She just sat me down gave me the menu and just walked away without saying anything. I sat for a few minutes, more people came and sat outside. They were treated much nicer and more kind. I felt like I was being ignored until a waiter came and asked of I had been helped and I said no. So he took my order and left. Never before have I been treated so bad here. But today, I felt so discriminated against my race. I was very hurt. Maybe the waiter/waitress did not intend it to be that way, but I felt very discriminated because I wasn't white. The visit to First Watch today was just a bad experience. I felt like I wasn't welcomed. Besides the service, the food is always good, and this is the place you would want to go for brunch.
