We've lived in the WGV area for 2 years now and we finally ordered a pie from Pirate Pizza. Why didn't we try it sooner? The best NY style pizza in the area! We ate 3 slices each for dinner and I usually only eat 1! We had a good old cheese pizza and the girl on the phone was right- we didn't need to order extra cheese. My husband's only comment: Great foldable crust, delicious sauce, quality ingredients but needed olive oil to run down his arm to his elbow- essential oils in his mind! First time to have tried Pirate Pizza and I enjoyed it. Did a pick-up order for their 14" pizza for two of us and had a couple slices leftover to enjoy the next day. Our toppings were pepperoni, sausage, meatballs, and extra cheese. Unfortunately, the pepperoni was left off but we still enjoyed the pizza and would order again. Crust was tasty and overall a good pie. They have subs, salads, and other items we want to try also. If you're in the area definitely give it a try. Amazing food, exceeded my Expectations. We went here and dined in, ordered the family special which was a great deal and had a lot of food. We also ordered some mozzarella sticks and jalapeño poppers. It was all delicious. You order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. Everything was delicious and fresh. My only complaint is that they only have bottled drinks, wish they had a fountain for those that dine in. The decor of the restaurant was cute, kept on theme with the name. There's not a lot of seating inside however everyone should give this place a try. I'm excited to go back and try more items! read more

Aug.1, 2025. I happened upon Pirates Pizza. My friend and I agreed to get the Veggie Pizza pie. Was not disappointed. The crust was, as it should be, crusty. The flavor was wonderful and the pizza did not get mushy from all the vegetables. Next time I am in the area will definitely stop in and try another pie. Today was the first day we had a chance to try Pirate Pizza. Since we are from NY/NJ, good pizza is a favorite, and somehow, not super easy to find around here. The restaurant is small and clean, with a pirate theme (as evidenced by the name). There is a large counter for ordering and a few booths and tables for dine-in. The menu has some appetizers, salads, pizzas, and sandwiches. it reminds me of an old-school pizzaria, where you can order pizza by the slice, which is served on super thin white paper plates. And that's exactly what I had. We got meatball app (two huge meatballs in a foil bowl, which my husband loved), and the fried 'shrooms with ranch. There's something about fried mushrooms from a pizza joint, and these were no exception. He ordered the Calypso (basically a chicken parmesan sandwich) with light sauce, and I had a slice of cheese pizza. The crust was thin and crispy, and the sauce had a great tomato flavor (I usually don't like sauce, but this was great). Plenty of cheese, too! This is a great spot for a quick lunch or takeout! While I don't believe in posting right off the bat as I want to give the establishment time to reply to my concerns, I have sent 2 emails, 1 facebook message and 1 instagram message and after several weeks of no response I feel it is time to let others know my experience. Below is the message I sent to the establishment. "We have ordered a few times but not for a while as we had a so so experience last time but wanted to give it another try. We ordered 2 18" pizzas along with some sides. 1 cheese 1 Bbq chicken. We ordered through Uber eats and I selected to add fried chicken to the order as well(2X chicken) We did not get any grilled chicken just fried chicken even though it shows we selected an additional topping. The lack of toppings was really disappointing and for $32 I was really expecting it loaded up based on some of your pictures on your site. I understand everyone can have an off day but if this is a representation of what you think is acceptable then we will select another establishment for our needs." Good food, great amount of food for price, friendly staff. I happened to be in the area and wanted to try something "local". Much to my surprise, this one of the few places in the area that is local. At the quiet end of a shopping mall, this unassuming storefront boasts a lot of flavor. Dining by myself, I over ordered in order to be able to try more things. The salad was bountiful and fresh. My single slice cheese pizza was piping hot and had a perfect for folding thin crust. Very cheesy. The sandwich was the Davey Jones. Hot. So much meat packed with so many fresh vegetables, I couldn't even handle it. I ate the rest of the food and 1/4 of this sandwich. The amount of flavor from the 4 types of hot meat and melted cheese does battle with the fresh vegetables and comes together to form the most mouth watering bites. And for dinner, it was also delicious cold!!! :) If you're in the area, I highly recommend trying out Pirate Pizza. You can thank me later!!! :) read more

Had the QUARTERMASTER which is Spinach, Sun Dried Tomato, Sweet Cherry Pepper, Roasted Red Pepper, Garlic, Feta, Cheddar, Monterey Jack, Mozzarella, & Sweet Pesto Sauce with a Cheddar Edged Crust. It was unique and absolutely delicious. Crust was the perfect combination of crunchy and chewy. food is great, but customer service is ok. Asked for mozzarella on my pizza and they just put shredded Mozzarella instead of large pieces of mozzarella. Then they told me that I should have asked for a margarita, pizza or fresh mozzarella. Of course I wanted the fresh mozzarella. if I wanted more shredded cheese, I would've just asked for extra cheese. they should have fixed it total disappointment not at all the pizza I wanted although the flavor is good read more

So I can't lie when I say this was a comeback story for me! My husband and I ordered when they first opened(maybe about a month after they opened) and got it to go. It was not great... we were fairly disappointed. But locals talk-and our neighbors have constantly said their favorite pizza in town is Pirate Pizza! So I finally had to give it another go! Went last week and got the lunch special-2 slices and a soda! The pizza was a bit greasy( I did get sausage and pepperoni so it was expected) but nothing a few napkins couldn't handle! But overall really tasty and I would definitely give it another go!! And I loved the crunch on the bottom of the pizza-that was my favorite part! And the slices were huge! You order at the counter and there are some tables and booths for dinning in. We did the lunch special of two slices of pizza and a drink. The pizza choices are pepperoni and cheese. I had one of each and my husband had just pepperoni. The other lunch special is one slice of pizza, side salad and a drink. The pizza was very good and when we go back I want to try the Buccaneer. Non chain franchise and local is where I always want to explore. This place made good pirate bread, and the Philly steak especially is almost exact the same that I like in north Maryland. Pizza however is the reason I rate it at 4. Taste too much salt in pizza, pizza itself does taste good but salt is in the way. Only if they could reduce the salt, I think it would be my favorite one.
