It was my first time visiting one of these stores, and I wasn't familiar with the process at all. I ordered a sandwich and was told it came with a side. The list of sides was rattled off so quickly and mumbled over the speaker that I had to ask them to repeat it three times. Later, I found out the side i ordered actually cost extra. At checkout, they handed me a card reader on a wand to pay. Without my glasses, I couldn't make out the tiny screen, which was asking for a tip. Trying to read and use a credit card while visually impaired--especially when the device is hanging out the drive-thru window two feet from my car--was frustrating. I guess the answer is to use the app? So now someone is pissed I won't tip at a drive thru and make a shit sandwich? The sandwich itself tasted good, though it was light on chicken and heavy on lettuce and beans. Tipping in a drive thru??? FML. You people are mad. read more

Terrible service. I asked for 3 scoops of whey protein--specifically so it wouldn't go to waste--and the employee responded with unnecessary rudeness. This location has really gone downhill. Ordered door dash and my beach bum is completely purple. Clearly blueberry or açaí was added just completely wrong drink. My boyfriend gets açaí and it's like they just made two of the same drink and slapped the label onto mine. Seriously. $9 and just not even close to being a beach bum. Never coming here again. My boyfriend came to use the lions deal - buy a food item and get a smoothie free. For some reason it doesn't show up on his phone, and the worker wouldn't give it to him even though he was buying 2 food items and a smoothie. Odd because any other location we've been to will over-ride the purchase and allow him to use the coupon. I wasn't with him or I would have asked to talk to the manager. The food and smoothies are pretty decent but I guarantee you if you order two different sides, they will give you two of the same thing. Multiple times I have asked for a cookie and bag of chips only to get two bags of chips or if I ask for two different kinds of chips, I get two bags of the same. I originally went in just for a Bahama Mama, but I kind of wanted food too. I've never had food from here before though. The young man at the order take station was particularly helpful. So, these have popped up in a few places in the past year. I decided to give it a try for lunch, and it was delicious. I ate the Caribbean Chicken Wrap and got a Acai Berry smoothie. These wraps didn't seem as big as Chipotle's burritos, but I underestimated them. That pineapple-salsa filled wrapped goodness was heavy! And that's a good thing. It's good to get something relatively healthy, not pay too much for it, and come out feeling full. Disclaimer, a friend got a cheaper flatbread, and it wasn't quite as filling for him. Came last night in drive thru at 8:20 with only one person in front of me. Sat there for 10-15 minutes waiting to get my smoothies. The cafe inside was closed so idk why they took so long. I grew very impatient waiting. Workers were laughing and walking around. Very unhappy with my service. Ordered my usual Bahama mama with kiwi and they totally killed the drink for me. I went in the other day to grab a smoothie after being told how great it is, and when I walking in I saw this worker being scolded by a man (also a worker) in front of everyone! She was just talking to a few customers and the guy comes up and embarrassed her in front of the whole lobby saying "EITHER FIND SOMETHING TO DO OR LEAVE AND IF U LEAVE UR NOT WALKING BACK IN HERE TOMORROW". Shocked that this happened where customers were at I approached the girl, who just went on w her business and didn't say a work back to him. If you haven't tried the franchisees smoothies and drinks, do yourself a favor to plan a visit. Another chain that is promoting healthy as well as tasty options. The majority of the smoothies will appeal to anyone's taste. The food is the real surprise. My common order is a "Chipotle Chicken Club" as a combo with an "Açaí Berry Boost" smoothie. I've never had a bad experience since I have frequented this brand, especially this store. The staff keep the store clean and friendly. My personal experience when my car ran out of gas in the parking lot, the staff members came out to help push my car to a safe location. This kind of service goes above and beyond any expectation. Want to give a higher rating because I love the franchise and have eaten at multiple different locations with great service and great food however this location specific has great food but the service is just so horrible here. I've tried this location twice now because it's so close to my house and both times I've been here not a single person acknowledges that I'm there waiting. One of them looked right at me after 10 mins of waiting but then walked the other way. Will it kill them to just say hi or if they're busy that they will be right with me just so I know that I'll eventually get some service? Eventually I had to shout out that I need some help. I agree that this place is clean, and the food seems healthyish (the size of the smoothies is robust, so they can't possibly be lo cal). If you want to go to a Tropical Smoothie Cafe without a wait, this is your place. My daughter is a huge fan, and has tried several smoothies, and a few different wraps. The reason I am giving it a four is because of the newness of the staff, and the packaging. Sometimes this location feels a bit like a college party, with zero adult supervision. I am there in the evening, so that is likely the reason it is left to the kids to run. Other locations are so busy that the kids have no choice but to work feverishly. Here it isn't normally busy yet, so it leaves a lot of time for hanging out. The drive thru is super convenient, just bring extra money; it isn't cheap (to be fair you do get a very large smoothie). I wish they weren't using styrofoam which is so 1972, especially because they are pushing healthy living. read more
