We arrived there 13 minutes before they closed another couple came in behind me. Absolutely disgraceful! They had a rude person smoking right next to the door, so you get a lungful of wrenched smoke before going in. The manager wouldn't do a thing about it. They even put provisions outside for smokers right next to the entrance! Then, when I inquired about which smoothies were vegan, they did not answer me but gave me a menu instead. I pointed out only vegetarian options were marked, to which the cashier curtly replied that was the same thing. Of all the impudence! They are certainly not the same thing at all. Even the manager was then rude, asking me to tell her what the difference was. The staff wants you to leave! I walked into a room full of customers. The manager was cleaning and never looked up. One young woman was lost, not taking orders. She just kept looking at bags on counter. Another seemed to be slowly working on preparing something. After 10 minutes when no orders were taken, I left. I am certain that was a relief to the staff since online order folks were coming in and standing around as well. I went there today and was quite impressed!!! Service was great and the vegetarian jerk chicken wrap I got was delicious ! Along with the wrap I ordered a detox smoothie....I wasn't a fan of smoothies before, but I am now. What's cool is you pick your side. I had a choice of chips, an orange, or a banana!!!!! This is the second time that I have had a delivery order that was incorrect, so I finally complained. The point of having something delivered is to make it convenient for you because you can't leave your home. I called twice in regard to this issue and was told to bring the sandwich that was incorrect back to the store in order to have it replaced. What a joke, the whole point was to make it convenient to have my items delivered to me. I am under a tight schedule with my work and can't drive to the location to bring back the wrap this evening . I can't believe that the owner doesn't care about replacing my Caribbean jerk wrap at a time that's convenient for me. This was a huge inconvenience and disappointment. I am a member of the Smoothie app reward program and have spent more money than I would want to admit at this location, the least they could do was replace this item at MY convenience. It can be good depending on who is making it. My only complaint is the inconsistency in the product. Sometimes, like today, my smoothie tastes like green water. Too much ice & water. I've seen the new people fill half the blender with water and then pack the rest with ice. All to throw away the excess. 2cups max of ice & a splash of water is all that is needed. Same with the breakfast burrito. Sometimes its delicious & other times, like today, it's not. I enjoy the ease of the app... being able to place my order when I leave home & have it ready for pickup. We have tried this location twice. Once for delivery and a time with ordered/pick up. As a long tome fan of Tropical Smoothie, I am seriously disappointed with this location. So disappointing as it would be awesome to have one so nearby. Starting at the delivery order, which we ordered at an off-peak time, arrived in just under two hours, despite an ETA of 30 minutes. (We are ten minutes away, but in the middle of something that made delivery helpful). At the almost one hour mark, the driver called to say he was less than ten minutes away, only to arrive nearly an additional hour later. Given the delay of the order, the food was woefully soggy. Can't fault the Cafe for a delivery problem, but we haven't figured out the mystery of the 'not ordered' banana included in the order that was truly ridiculously rotten. Not a great experience, but we figured we would give it another shot. Opting for another try, we ordered on line, and my better half drove over to pick it up. Two smoothies, a salad and a sandwich. Order to be ready in 10 minutes. He arrived 15 minutes later. Mass confusion ensued. One smoothie made and in a cubby. When he asked about the rest of the order, five minutes later he got the second smoothie. When he asked about the food, the person who seemed like a manager, had a fit. Complaining that "you didn't tell me about the food" to him!!! She then began yelling at her employees, just brutally belittling them in front of the everyone in the Cafe. Now back to the order. Ten minutes later, one person brought the sandwich, which another employee took back, when my hubby inquired about the still AWOL salad bowl from the order. Someone else brought the sandwich back with two more smoothies (which he didn't take) and eventually, the 'manager' brought the salad. After thanking her, she turned and walked away without a response. So, yeah. Not a typical experience for the chain, but I would have to say a terrible experience with no return visit in sight for us from this location. If a location is open until 6pm, it would make sense that they would serve customers until 6. After calling at 5:40 to make sure that they're still open, which they said they were, we got there at 5:50. After coming into the store, they claimed that they, "start closing around 5:45." I was so thrilled when I saw this location was opening so close to me, alas, the following are my experiences. I attempted to go on a weekday between 2-3, wouldn't call that the lunch rush, but only one employee was working and there was a line of people, all glancing at watches, tapping their feet and attempting to be patient with the lack of staffing. I stood for 11 minutes, and when I finally overheard the couple 3 people in front of me being told that their food was going to take at least 15 minutes to complete, (that was after they asked because they stated that they wanted to leave and come back) I knew I needed to leave. Yesterday I tried again, and as I entered there were 3 employee's in the back of the store....and as I stood at the register for several minutes, I called out hello....no answer.....I continued to wait. A white mail approached the register, took my order and proceeded to yell back to the other two african american workers that they needed to get up here and start working because I ordered one of everything on the menu. They came out, confused, rushing, ok, where do we start, etc., are you serious???, etc...they realized that he wasn't, that it was simply a body shaming comment made to me as I am not "skinny". He could have easily taken care of and prepared my smoothie on his own, but felt it necessary to make me feel as if my eating habits would require the entire menu. I called to complain to the manager, was told his name is Greg and that he owns this location and the one on US1, but that he wouldn't care, so to call in today to speak with Elaine, the store manager of this location and did receive an apology, but no, I wouldn't recommend this location to anyone. I should have walked out, but I was in such shock at what happened, that I just waited for my order. Another woman walked in in full workout attire and all three kept their back's to her as she stood waiting to be acknowledged for at least 5 minutes, so I would have to say that the lack of customer service here is definitely going to create issues with the success of this location. I know I personally planned on going daily, and was glad that there was a home delivery option, but will not be giving any of my money to a place that doesn't understand the concept of customer service, retention, and that would even consider body shaming someone in any capacity....it was yelled across the restaurant that I ordered the entire menu, how is that okay? Well there you have it, I hope this review helps anyone that might care about wait times, being acknowledged, and that fat shaming seems to be something that is condoned and amusing at this location. (Incidentally, the smoothie tasted primarily of powder.....so icy powder was certainly not worth the visit.) read more

So upset and dissatisfied with my service today. I order from this tropical smoothie with my coworkers twice a week and place my orders online and come about 30 minutes later to pick up my order. Today however, I go to pick up my orders and find that they are out of shrimp so they cannot make the order - fine I then asked if they could make me a substitute item and she told me I would have to wait an hour and re pay for it. I said I would like a refund for the past order and she told me I would have to wait two hours for a manager, mikayla, and I had to return to work. So I asked for the managers number and not one person in the restaurant has a managers number???? How ridiculous... my entire order was messed up, labeled incorrectly, cold, and no third order??! No compensation for it either.. I would appreciate a call so I can be refunded $16.00 for this meal. I am HIGHLY disappointed in the lack of good customer service. Ordered online for curbside pick up. Instructions online say to pull into the designated pick up area but there is none or it's very poorly marked. I arrived right when my order was supposed to be ready but was left waiting in my car for 10min and gave up and went inside only to wait even longer as they still hadn't made my food or smoothie and one of the ladies making my food was wearing her mask incorrectly as it was below her nose.
