This tropical smoothie is super close to my job and is an occasional lunch break treat! I typically get the Thai chicken wrap and Berry Bliss smoothie. Each time I've come in here. I'm always warmly greeted and helped by Cathy, who I believe is the manager. Cathy is always so sweet and helpful! It had been a while since I ordered from tropical smoothie and I was trying to navigate my app, and Cathy made sure that I got points for my purchase today and showed me how to add in my birthday to make sure I get a free birthday treat. She was also really patient as I decided which smoothie to get (today I got the açai berry blast -- which is super flavorful just as Cathy recommended). Customer service turned to absolute dog food once the female staff members I was familiar with were gone. I don't wtf is up with the male workers over there but they suck terribly at customer service. Especially that one white male with the fat flushed face and red hat and blonde hair. He is incredibly unwelcoming. Came in today to pick up my smoothie that was five minutes late to being ready, did absolutely nothing to provoke him and he asked me who I was picking up for as if I was the one wasting his time. (Took him about a minute or two to even acknowledge me. Was the only one at the front). Not even a greeting and a terrible frown on his face. Also, smoothie quality has gone downhill, ever since those girls left, they guys remaining there seem to have no clue how to blend a smoothie and make it taste right (literally tastes so watered down and consistency is always iffy). This place needs new staff members if you ask me, ones that know how to make someone feel welcome! (Bet the color of my skin was the reason he was so rude, people are pathetic). This location has suffered the plight of others since COVID with normalizing staff. Overall I do see the owner and some of the same staff which has been fantastic! This store is minutes from my home and I have been a customer for over ten years. The issues I have are inconsistency in their food, timing of delivery and the fact their pricing is more than other area locations. All are critical to a smooth operation. This update is way overdue as this was occurring in my option pre Covid. Today on a Mobil order the food delivery was on time which we absolutely needed. There was some issue on name when picking up that was quickly resolved. I also had a separate transaction of a cookie, they are so good! I did ask the staff about their pricing model. She said due to them being unique with a drive up window and prep for minimum wage increasing. Neither answer settled with me. I actually never realized they have been more expensive for quite some time, over a year. Once I got home the food was cold and my daughters quesadilla had almost no cheeses. I also learned later chips were forgotten. We've had same issue before as well as cheese not melted. I returned and it was made by the owner to TS specs per staff. Also they said to include a comment on order. I really cannot comprehend why a comment is needed to make the item correctly. We pretty much live in Tropical Smoothies because my kids love them. This is the only location where we have a problem. Once home my daughter said it was better, still not as good as others. We will chill on the Haygood TS store for quite a while. Although service has always been consistently a 4 stars a 2.5 rounding down is appropriate overall score averaging in a year plus visits of critical issues. read more

My absolute favorite thing about this TSC location is that it has a drive thru!!!! Parking in this area of the shopping center is rather limited, plus sometimes I just to feel like getting out of the car and unbuckling my boy from his car seat just for a smoothie. This location is near my home so I have visited several times. Everyone is always nice but I honestly feel like I wait way longer for my food and smoothies than I do at any other location! I have read other reviews of how rude the staff is. Luckily I haven't experienced that. I've just had to wait ages for my smoothie to be made. They're so good though!! I ordered it in the app, paid for it in the app., drove to the restaurant, and waited in the drive through only for them to tell me then that this location is only honoring one flavor of smoothie for $1.00, punch, which I did not want. They did not call or email before I got there. They cannot immediately issue a refund and now I can't use the reward at another location because it thinks I've used it. I will not be back to this location. With this kind of service, this location will not last and rightfully so. I've reported this to their corporate office. This is the most disappointing, disgusting display of customer service I've seen in my life. Dining room is closed, understandable especially if they are understaffed but at least hire competent workers... The young lady at the drive through spoke to us quietly, gave us the wrong instructions, and with an air pod in her ears. Price increase. Weird perking lot The smoothies and wraps are good here. I like to get Splenda instead of sugar and my favorite smoothie is a strawberry beach. If you order the Jamaican jerk chicken wrap, be prepared to burn the crap out of your mouth. I like wasabi roast beef sandwich and if you get a meal it comes with the smoothie and a piece of fruit or chips. At this location you can call ahead and pick up your order when you get there. They have a drive through window. Otherwise if you pull up to the drive-through to place an order they give you a pager type gadget and you can sit in your car and the pager will go off when your water it's ready. It is a pretty good system if you are lazy and do not feel like getting out of your car I would suggest it. read more

Nutritious fast food....who thought that line would ever be used? I enjoy coming here are a work out. They have a great deal with a half sandwich and a smoothie. I've had all their sandwiches and I'm torn between the wasabi roast beef or the cranberry chicken salad. The flatbread sandwiches and wraps are also terrific. I placed a mobile order for the Baja chicken and mistakenly forgot to sub chipotle instead of the tomato salsa as the salsa is too spicy. Called three times before someone answered the phone and was told that since the sandwich had been made, they cannot remake it. When I arrived at the cafe, I explained the issue and was told again that the sandwich could not be remade. As I cannot enjoy this spicy sandwich, I asked for a refund and was told that they cannot process a refund since the order was placed on the mobile app. What kind of nonsense is this? I called their customer service line and am being refunded through them. I also left a review for this location with them advising that this is a pretty ridiculous situation. Agent who answered the phone stated that it's the manager's discretion to remake it or not. So they are penalizing me for making a mistake? What a horrible, abrupt and ignorant manager they have running this place (who's name I cannot provide because they refused to share it with me). I arrived at the location to get a mobile order, but the young lady could not find it under the name listed in the app (turns out they had it under the name on the card for some reason), so I gave her the order number to try. After a few attempts to, she was still unable to find our order. That's when this prime example of an appallingly heinous customer service manager stuck her head out and started shouting at me, demanding my phone. With the order number and confirmation in hand, she was still unable to realize that the large order sitting on the counter was in fact the order in question. Unfortunately, this ignorance turned to hostility as she realized the name confusion. She proceeded to yell and chastise me for the problem, even though the name on the order confirmation, as we both saw, was the name I said. Maybe she should understand how the technology of her establishment works, and ask politely for another possible name, rather than angrily displacing blame onto others. My daughter ordered me a smoothie on May 15th, 2022, few hours later my stomach felt funny, then it started making sounds, crampong, bloated, aching, vomiting and severe diarrhea going to the bedroom about 14 times in up until the May 17, diarrhea slowed down but this nauseated feeling, stomach cramp causing me to have no appetite, I will go to Urgent Care in the morning. First experience coming here, we can though there were some negative reviews I gave it a shot because of the drive thru and wanting something healthy without being able to get out of the car. The gentleman who took my order at the window was polite, friendly and helpful. The service is also very pleasant and they generally have samples of smoothies that they pass out. Also, this is the only Tropical Smoothie I've seen that has a drive-through. This cafe is top shelf! I never have to walk up to get my food, the staff bring the food to the table; everything is made fresh when ordered. I can sit at this location and log on to their free wifi and get work done. The kitchen is in view and everyone washes their hands and use gloves when preparing food; I have even seen members of the Health Department eat at this cafe. I've seen the manager at this location for over 11 years, that's how long I have visited this cafe. read more

Just had the most frustrating experience at this location. I usually order online, and have fast service at all the other locations I've been to. This one is drive through only (understandable), and I had to get back in my car to get my order. Not a big deal. Once I got to the window, I noticed there were only two cups. I had ordered one of them split, so I told them that I had written that in the special instructions. What proceeded was one of the most pointless interchanges (while initially in a rush, so extra frustrating). A different lady had come up to the window, and started explaining over and over that they don't get the special instructions on their end while insisting I look at the slip. I get that. She also told me that next time I had modifications, to call in to make sure they got it. I told her that in the future I would just call in my order, as I've done at the location I usually use. She then said that wouldn't work because sometimes they don't answer their phone.. so how would that work? Bottom line, customer service could use an overhaul. Every time we go to this specific location, the food order was always wrong and the smoothies are in most cases watered down. The service is slow although there are not many customers. They are very strict on coupons. I tried using a $1.99 smoothie promo with the purchase of the chicken caprese sandwich that I received from the tropical smoothie rewards. The cashier said it's not redeemable until next week although it did not specify anything in the e-mail. I had other issues with coupons in the past here. I love TSC but this location is terrible. Multiple times they have denied coupons that other locations in the area have accepted. They also refused to make a smoothie for my wife because it was not on the menu despite having all the ingredients on hand to make it. They have also charged me extra in the past for splitting a normal sized smoothie into 2 smaller cups so we could split it with our kids. Very disappointed with their customer service and attitude there. I would drive an extra 15 minutes out of my way just to not have to deal with them. read more
