I wanted to leave this review because the guy on the speaker and at the window was super cool and I appreciated the way he talked to me. Very friendly and personable so great job to him I hope one of the managers read this. Young guy with dirty blond hair (maybe wearing glasses? I forget). This was on 11/2/2025 around 8pm. This has always been my go to stop after a day of basketball at the sportsplex or a 5k fun run nearby or even after a concert at the amphitheater This is one of the best Dairy Queen's around They have the CHICKEN STRIPS and GRAVY If you know You know If you don't then go try it I don't know why but chicken and fries dipped in gravy is the best random combination I can get at a fast food spot They have specials all the time my general go to it the 7$ meal which used to be 5$ darn inflation lol I get my meal as well as a drink and a sundae I love the peanut butter one it's oddly satisfying This location also has a great dining room complete with a lobby seating area of sorts with couches and chairs and a tv which today was set to the food network and carnival eats oh yes please They have great staff and a clean bathroom what's not to enjoy read more

I haven't been to DQ for about a year now. This place did not disappoint at all. I didn't realize in the Hampton roads area that there aren't that many DQ spots that serves burgers and fries. All the other smaller DQ restaurants only served desert, hot dogs and chicken fingers. When you first walk in you are greeted by the workers and they make you feel welcome. The restaurant was really clean and I know why. The cashiers on their free time will come around and clean the chairs and tables. Other than that I enjoyed my meal and Oreo blizzard. read more

I stopped by DQ for lunch. I ordered a flaming burger combo with no flame sauce, fries, cheese curds, and a ultimate cookie blizzard. When I got about 5 minutes down the street I noticed my burger was a chicken sandwich, which was incorrect . So I turned around and went back. They apologized and remade the food. This time I left again and when I opened it the 2nd time there was just meat and cheese. So I went back again. This time the manager came out. He was very nonchalant asking, " so all it's missing now is the toppings"?? I feel he tried to make me feel petty for coming back, but the burger was like $12 for the meal, so I wanted what I paid for. The other guy at the register told me I could keep the other burger they messed up, but when the manager came he made sure he ran his raw fingers all over the burger. It kinda felt purposely the way he fondled that bun.. Then he tossed it in the trash. He wasn't the nicest person in the beginning, for a customer whose come back 2 times for the same burger, you'd think he wouldn't be trying to make me feel bad. Dude none of this was my fault. I stood there waiting for about 5 minutes so my blizzard melted also, so I asked for a refund for it. He was nice about that and he finally apologized. I was very nice about the whole thing. I do feel he could have handled the situation a little better. I never raised my voice or even got rude. This is the first time I've had an issue like this at Dairy Queen, I'll probably return but I'll definitely check my food before leaving next time. 2 stars!! read more

Went through the Drive-Thru at this location i started my order and the Lady who took my order read me my total even though I wasn't done. When I got to the window the didn't ring in both my blizzards that I had ordered and then when i got my second blizzard it wasn't blended thoroughly, so half it was plain vanilla ice cream. read more

Getting someone to answer the phone here is a challenge. So I went the route from the reply below and after sending my frustrations, it got sent off to where the store manager eventually sent me an email where he told me to call. Again the phone rang for quite a while but right when I was about to hang up, Chris, the manager answered. He was nice, listened, and provided a solution. He said that some of these people are new, which I believe. As I explain my frustrations he told me that the Super Snacks usually help save money by bundling. However, if the employees knew the original total they gave me was $8 and some change, they should have switched it back when they saw the price jump to $10 and some change. For the actual solution, Chris had left for the day, but a different manager was there, I believe it was Bryant. He was professional, quick, and attentive. The kids all got another small sundae for our troubles and if they're happy, I'm happy. read more

I had no clue this location existed.  My daughter wanted food and to our surprise, after visiting two other DQ's this is the only location near us that sells treats and food. FYI, google first to make sure the location you are visiting sells food if that's what you are looking for. Well after finding this location, my daughter ordered the chicken fingers and fries and I decided to try the rotisserie bites salad. You can get other salad options and/or the bites separately. Well my daughter was pleased, myself, either I was super hungry, but the salad was mighty tasty.  I would definitely order this again. The bites of chicken were pretty hearty and had a good flavor to them considering this place is known for treats IMO. If you are in the area check them out. Really slow service, a little disorganized upon ordering, and an unhappy staff. We were about 10 people back in line with 2 windows and it took about 20 minutes to get to order. It's the same DQ taste you get elsewhere except with the disorganization mentioned above. They are, however, in an extremely convenient location to the beach crowd. read more

First time and always excited to dine at Dairy Queen. This is a newer location right off Princess Anne Rd in a strip. Parking is decent most of the time. The lot was clear of debris on a rainy Friday morning. I love that they open early at 1030. There is a large patio that was tidy. A drive-thru is also available. The inside has their new floor plan which is spacious with a waiting area and TV. Also a large selection of frozen cakes. Candles are also available. The dining room is spacious and since I opened them up with my kids clean as I would expect. The manager took our order and was friendly. Who can resist a Blizzard especially when they are buy one get the second for 99 cents. Our food came out in less than 10 minutes which was phenomenal. However, my son was short a chicken strip and my burger had no bacon. I did not say anything about the bacon after looking at the receipt, but my son really wanted the 5 strip. It too was rung in incorrect like my burger. The nice woman said no problem and brought out another no charge. All the food was hot and tasty. We waited for our Blizzards for over 20 minutes and had almost finished our meals. I asked the manager and he thought for some odd reason we were waiting on them to go. I never said to go. He immediately had them cranked out in minutes. Of course delicious! I loved my Turtle Pecan. I stopped at the restroom and found the men's room tidy with proper supplies. I will absolutely come back. But there were too many errors in our order to provide anything other than a weak 3. They will be better next time. read more

I really dislike giving low stars to any establishment. I truly try to find everything that I like and love and let it cover any of the minor things that I don't like. However, when it comes to customer service, there is no covering up for that. We wanted a treat after picking our daughters up from school. We were happy to see that we made happy hour which is from 2-5. We decided on a small vanilla frappe, which wasn't that great. I ordered a mango orange premium fruit smoothie, what was brought to me was a strawberry slushie. I took it up and stated that I asked for a mango orange smoothie. The young man who first took my initial order (obviously incorrectly) apologized and went to working on my smoothie. This time, I got a strawberry banana smoothie brought to me. So now the same young man has taken my drink order wrong twice. I then tell him that I've been asking for a mango orange smoothie when a lady who appeared to me the manager chimed in saying 'Well we don't have any more of that flavor'. One, way to jump into the conversation without any introduction or understanding of everything that has taken place so far. She then asks if I want anything else. I tell her after getting my order incorrect twice and then to find out that the very thing I asked for to begin with they were out of, I just stated no, I would not like anything else. She then walks to the register and gives me a cash refund. That was that. I was really disappointed in the whole experience. Definitely will stick to the Diary Queen by my house. I was really hoping that having a sit-down experience in this nice looking establishment would have been nice and fun for my family but we left frustrated. Luckily my girls liked their simple ice cream with sprinkles. (Although I asked the gentleman for chocolate sprinkles on my daughter's chocolate ice cream and he put rainbow) she didn't mind. Great food and cashier in the drive-thru is always friendly. They always look you in the eyes when greeting. The only issue is that there has not been one time where my order came out correct. The best thing is to order inside and make sure you food and blizzard is correct before leaving. Instead of finding out later, then you have to park, walk in and correct your order. Nice to see a full-sized DQ open in VA beach! This new location is clean, modern, and the employees are very friendly. This location also has a drive-thru. DQ has always had awesome ice cream. (Been ordering Chocolate-dipped cones from here since I was 4 years old, so 40 years now! 5-star across the board, the only exception being they don't have the menu that Texas locations used to have, and they use a frozen patty these days vice fresh beef on the grill. I have been wondering for years why Virginia Beach didn't have a grill and chill. I was pretty excited to hear this one was open. I was shocked years ago when I found out that DQ has my favorite fast food burger. The flamethrower to be exact. I haven't lived in the area long, so this was my first time ever getting food from this location. My only other time here I picked up a box of dilly bars inside so I didn't have an opinion. Today I visited around 1:45 through the drive thru and I was the only car at the time. Service was quick, but almost too quick. The kid running the drive thru was very nice and friendly. I had ordered a MEDIUM peanut butter sundae, which I swear is not a medium, the ice cream barely went to the top of the cup. I have a picture of it, but it's a little melty because I drove my food home, which is exactly why I wanted a medium, because I knew it would melt quite a bit. While they were making it, I could hear either the boy or the girl making it saying something about how peanut butter is so overrated on a sundae. I don't know if that was a comment toward me, or it was just their talk, but they were in the window when it was said. At that point I didn't care to say to them that my sundae looked too small because after they were already making comments about the sundae, I just had a bad feeling about saying anything about it's size to them. I also ordered a chicken strip basket, which when I brought home I opened up to buttered bread, not even toasted, and the serving of fries just look skimpy to me. I'm very disappointed, the 2 Dairy Queen locations that are closer to me aren't grill locations so I made the trip to this location because I thought a chicken strip basket that I haven't had in a long time sounded good, and to top it off, I could've had a much bigger sundae from McDs for cheaper. I went to landstown Dairy Queen today to get a chocolate cone. When I received it the color was very dark and I thought it was a chocolate dipped. They assured me it was not. What I got was ice cream the consistency of a Fudgesicle not the soft ice cream I expected. The taste was fine if you like fudgesicles but this is no what I wanted. I was very disappointed. When I ordered a meal today, I ordered hot fudge and extra Oreo crumbs in my blizzard. I paid an extra $.79 for each. When I got my order, however, there wasn't hot fudge or extra Oreo crumbs. Normally I don't have any problems with restaurant orders, but this time, I did, and not only did I not get what I ordered, but I paid extra for it and couldn't even go back to get another one since I had it delivered to me. If you plan on going here, just make sure you tell them what you want specifically and check your order to make sure it's correct before you leave. The store just opened and was not busy at all. The manager / register attendant was rude. When I went to get my drink the beverage I wanted was out. 5 people behind the counter looked at me and ignores me. No one was in drive thru and no one else was in the store. When I told them it was out I was told I had to wait another 10-15 min for them to replace. Again the store just opened. It took 20 min for our food to come out. I ordered 3 chicken tenders and fries. The chicken tenders were cold and the fries weren't all the way cooked. Their white gravy was water. When asked why the food was cold and prepared this way when they just opened - we were told they had 2 drive thru orders so our food was left in their window and for got about and we had to wait another 15-20 min for new food. Manger was rude. When she walked away we could hear her talking about us to other employees. We never got our food and had to ask for our money back. Great Dairy Queen location! Service is always fast and friendly. The dining room is always clean. I love how they now serve you at your table too. Surprisingly good choices for lunch and dinner too! So if you're wanting a quick and easy dessert AND dinner, come here! Their fridge is also always stocked with ice cream cakes if you're in a pinch for a birthday/celebratory cake. I've tried lots of different options on the menu and my favorites are the peanut butter cookie dough blizzard (seasonal) and chicken BLT salad.
