A new location and a fresh look! Find them just around the corner on Pleasure House now in the Bayside Shopping Center. The new spot offers real advantages for many customers. The big one is the ease to get in and out of the parking area. Plenty of spaces close to the building will be immediately a plus. The other advantage is a fresh new buildout that is impressive! It's a smaller floor plan than previous, however most of their business is take out. I expect this to continue even with improvements around COVID. Everything was clean and few customers on lunch rush since they are adjusting to the new address. The service from the owner manning the cash register was friendly. However a learning curve on their new system to pay left her a bit frustrated. Typically I do the app which I highly recommend. Bring cash for tips they do not have an automated system for tipping and I like this so no obligation to do so. Smoothie and a quesadilla was pushed out in around 8 minutes with a delicious pomegranate plunge first. The food was enjoyed at home and still hot. The only drawback was this meal was a combo and chips left off. I'm excited for the new Tropical Smoothie store. Our family has been fans for well over a decade. Until my son visited, I never knew Tropical Smoothie had food. Duh.... I guess I should have known by the Cafe at the end of their name. :) While visiting it was the "go to" place for my son's normal breakfast smoothie. I checked their menu and found their Peanut Butter Banana Crunch Flatbread. The yummy breakfast option included peanut butter, banana, granola & honey inside a folded flatbread. I'll definitely be ordering it again. They also offer an appetizing menu that includes Flatbread, Wraps, Quesadillas, and other Sandwiches on Ciabatta or Sour Bread. Salads, Breakfast, Kids Food & sides complete the menu. The Tropical Smoothie Cafe has moved even closer to my house. It's now located on the east side of Pleasure House Road just north of its intersection with Shore Drive, I'm not a Smoothie person. But I certainly am interested in exploring other healthy options on their menu. read more

Customer service was friendly & great, smoothies are always delicious! Only thing I'd change is the ambiance as rap music with the *F bomb and other words in the music. I was bringing in a client with Autism for a treat and I feel I have to apologize to the parent for the ambience. I got an opportunity to discuss inappropriateness and that the teens choose the music and what could be a more appropriate choice for the public in an establishment such as this. I'd contact the manager or owner directly but not sure how. Hopefully this reaches them & the teens get an opportunity to discuss this vs get into trouble. Even when this location is super busy, there is typically plenty of parking and the staff is always efficient. I came to this location with a sibling and a friend, looking for a nice cold refreshment. As far as first impressions go, the cafe had a good one. Walking in, the temperature was chilly but comfortable in the summer heat, the place was relatively empty of customers (except 2 or 3), and the tables, chairs, and counter were kept clean. I analyzed the vast menu of both smoothies and food, and decided to go with the Pomegranate Plunge while my sister and friend both got the Sunrise Sunset. We were quickly attended to by a member of the friendly staff and we also got our drinks promptly after. The smoothies came in styrofoam cups (considerably detrimental towards the environment) with no flexibility towards size as the only size was 24 oz. Nonetheless, the Pomegranate Plunge was a nice dark pink color and I was able to taste the individual fruits that were incorporated in the drink. However, after about halfway through the drink (12 oz.) the smoothie became average and a little tiring and hard to drink. Although the thicker consistency was a little hard to drink through the straw, the smoothie remained simply average at a 6/10. Moving on to the Sunrise Sunset, the initial taste was good with a peach-ish color. The ingredient list of the smoothie was extensive from mangoes, strawberries, pineapples, to orange juice, however, the taste of mangoes was lackluster and virtually nonexistent. I would not recommend this drink to somebody who is aiming to taste every individual fruit in the smoothie equally. Overall, the Sunrise Sunset was a 6.8/10 and also an average smoothie. Ultimately, Tropical Smoothie Cafe is an average, nothing special, smoothie cafe that I would voluntarily go once every two months. Although I would not recommend this specific smoothie location, it is by no means bad. read more

I come here regularly because it is convenient to my work. Staff is friendly, the dining area is clean and the smoothies have been consistent. My only problem with this location is that the price of my smoothie recently increased without any warning. I tend to order the same thing every time I visit and the total amount appears to vary up to $1 difference. Maybe the staff needs more consistent training. Other than that, I always find Tropical smoothie to be a refreshing way to eat without being weighed down. My favorite smoothie is the chia banana smoothie. read more

I am not sure what is going on with Tropical Smoothie Cafe, but based off of their reviews on Yelp and my experiences, there needs to be serious course correction in order to save the franchise. This was my first and likely only time at this particular location. The customer service was good. I was greeted by the cashier and placed my order. I tried the new chicken quesadilla and my favorite, orange dream shake. The food was made and received in a good time. The quesadilla was luke warm at best and could have been reheated. My smoothie was not good. It was certainly missing something or maybe made with sweetener as opposed to sugar? I am not sure. But it definitely didn't taste like it was supposed to. I know that this smoothie, the orange dream, isn't ordered often. But they are shown directions with specific amounts of ingredients for each smoothie. We took my nephew here for his first visit to tropical smoothie. There were 6 people in our party, with four people getting a sunrise sunset smoothie. 4 of the 6 smoothies came out tasting like ice - no flavor. The only one that tasted good was the the sunrise sunset made with Splenda and the blueberry bliss. We were so disappointed with the taste but the manager agreed to remake all 4 smoothies at no charge! She even gave us a mini smoothie as extra for our inconvenience. What great customer service. There is something to be said when companies gpnoit of their way to make it right. This location always seems a little short staffed when I visit. I wouldn't visit here if I am in a hurry. My office is right down the road and I get their text coupons so I find myself visiting a few times a month. Everything is consistent with each visit and with the other TSC locations in the area. The service is friendly, however they have forgotten a few times to ask if I wanted my meal to go or for dine in and opted for dine in each time. Great sized portion for lunch, reasonable price, and just enough kick that I still had that slight burn on the tongue as I was walking back to the car! The last few trips to this location have found me sharing the dining room with some business guys having a working lunch! I'd never really considered TS the place for a working lunch (it just doesn't seem right to talk work over a Bamboozle Double Banana Coconut Triple Whip), but great drinks, good food, and a non-crowded environment actually make this the perfect place! I ordered online from here a few weeks ago around 1pm on a weekday. I left work right after ordering and made the 10 min drive there. It was my first time ordering online so I wasn't aware of the box and fridge my items would be in. Luckily someone else came in to pick up their order so it was easy to figure out. My food was already ready by the time I got there. My buffalo chicken wrap with no tomatoes was perfect and my beach bum smoothie with added supplements and splenda was amazing. My husband ordered through the app and this location didn't get the order correct they only gave him one of the wraps that was in our order when we ordered two and when he tried to explain it to them they tried to argue with him and tell him that they got it correct and he showed them his order and showed them that he only had one of the items and only then did they give him the other wrap that we ordered and paid for. Plus we ordered the edible straw which cost $.99 extra unless you order the watermelon mojito smoothie and they neglected to give us the straw instead giving us the paper straws. I know $.99 isn't going to break the bank but it's the principle of the matter if a customer pays for something they should be given that item unless it is unavailable in that case we should've been offered a refund.
