My first time here. I absolutely loved the strawberry banana smoothie. I also ordered the Beach Club Salad. I gotta tell ya they were on the busy side so there was about a 10 minute wait. The person making the food never stopped working. She changed her gloves after everything she made. I was so impressed by her. My smoothie slightly lacked in either strawberry or date this time, but flavor inconsistency sometimes happens by natural human error and is not a deterrent to my return. My peanut butter crunch flatbread was delicious, as usual. Instead of wasting remaining smoothie, I was asked if I wanted to keep the extra in a small cup. I get a smoothie every morning before work. The lady that usually works mornings is so incredibly nice. She goes above and beyond for her customers especially when they don't have something you want. She is all around great at her job and has amazing customer service. Never once have I had a complaint about my smoothie or my food. It's fantastic!!! read more

Stopped for smoothies for the kids today, Sunday March 28th around 4:00pm. We stop quite often. I will never ever come back. The young girl working was beyond rude and obnoxious, yelling out at myself and other customers. She then proceeded to talk about me to the other employees, making snide remarks and giving terrible looks to my children and myself. When i asked for the owner/managers card so i could call and explain the very unfortunate situation she and other employees started screaming at me once again, threatening me and yelling at me in front of many other customers. Put in an online order, arrived 20 minutes later and our order was not on the counter ready to go. 2 moms had just ordered smoothies for their 2 girls, no one else in the store. No other orders being made. I told the 2 girls behind the counter that I placed an online order, the one girl said "oh, yeah, I had to clean the oven so I haven't started making them yet" I asked her how much longer it would be ? She said 10 minutes I asked her how it takes 30-35 minutes to make the sandwiches I ordered ? She again explained that it's because she needed to clean the oven. While sitting in the store for another 12-15 minutes she continued to wipe down the oven and then began making the sandwiches, with no sense of urgency whatsoever. Terrible customer service and a poor excuse for the delay. Even so, if she had shown urgency and genuine interest in fixing the delay - that would have helped. Every time I come to this location it always seems a mess. Let me explain. I came into the store today and there was a woman who ordered her food and for some reason she requested a refund. So, I was patiently waiting while she goes through each item on this customer order. Meanwhile, there is literally two coworkers standing around doing absolutely nothing as I wait and a mother of two wait behind me. Then another coworker gives the women working the register her personal phone to answer a text message while ignoring the customer. I literally, questioned the competence of these employees and was actually nervous to order anything for the fear they would mess it up horribly. Let me just say, I love tropical smoothie but this location is BY FAR THE WORST. I would highly recommend not going to this location if you are looking for good customer care and competence. I went here yesterday and wasnt greeted when I entered the store at all. Then I stood at the counter I was the only person in line for about 5 mins, one girl made smoothies and the other girl I believe was charging her cell phone almost right next to the counter she never acknowledged me standing there, never said anything Im still standing in line then she walked to the back and stayed back there??? When I ordered, I was told it would be about 15 minutes for three smoothies and two sandwiches, which was okay. It actually took about 40 minutes to get the food. The staff looks to be a woman and her barely teenage son, which did not give me high hopes. No uniforms, no aprons, and the kid only changed his gloves once when we were in there. The woman didn't have gloves at all, just throwing bananas in blenders with bare hands. It also seemed like she didn't know the recipes that well, she kept adding things to all the smoothies randomly and my smoothie didn't taste like lime at all (I got the blimey limey). The food and smoothies were good and the location and place itself is amazing. However, when we arrived, they told us it would take about a half hour for everything. It ended up taking 2 hours and we could not get a refund. Our smoothies came out within 15 minutes but our food didn't come out until and hour and a half after the smoothies. Came here 2 separate times and was disappointed each time. Once was around 8:45 and lights were already off and door was locked and they close at 9. I can understand that on a slow night. Another time I came around 8:30 with what looked like a steady night for them. Got to the counter to order food and the staff told me they're not serving anymore because they're closing soon. Well once again I have had another bad experience with the Tropical smoothie in my area and the customer service from one in particular is beyond terrible. On tge day before Columbus Day I go there and order $44 worth of stuff. A smoothie and a salad, a smoothie and a wrap, an extra smoothie and B12 and energy in each smoothie. I had got mandated at my job to work 2nd shift I normally work 3rd. So I go order All this food from TS that is like 5 mins from my house and when I go to put the wrap in a storage baggie there is a frickin hair on top so I cut the wrap in half and take the half nonhair half to work. When I get ready to eat the half I took with me and I bite into it there is another piece of frickin hair on the inside. My blood pressure went through the roof. So I try to get an outside call but no one would pick up the phone from TS. Also the employee there was rude as H and had a major attitude as I was ordering my food. I just started going back to that TS about a month and a half prior because of another incident with the employees there and I was gone for about 2 years from there. The manager had to know that the way the employee was wearing her was was a health code violation. So the next day when I complained about the hair in my food and the employees terrible attitude the manager seemed to kind of shrug her shoulders I guess about the employees attitude but offered a refund or remake the order and she also stated the employee always has her hair up when she is there which is a lie but the very next day when I go because I wanted to use mypoints I had accumulated for a free smoothie guess who had her hair pulled back in a pony tail cuz I told the manager that it was a heslth code violation for that employee not to have her hair pulled back. Two employees slurping smoothies in the back within view of those of us waiting in line to order while one girl bounced back and forth between the computer and the orders. "Tamar" as she said to me (crescent shaped diamond earring down the length of her ear), interrupted my order to make change for herself and the other employees from tips, then interjected when I told my friend I hadn't ordered yet because half of the staff was in the back RUDELY interjecting "um excuse me she's clocking out." I've been in customer service for 15 years and have never given a poor review. But come on it's a Saturday at 5pm- if you're going to be understaffed can you make sure that staff isn't rude.
