This was the best friendly's experience I've ever had. I'm not a big fan of the franchise, however my son is and he was dying to come here. Well I'm glad I did because this was a great experience. The server was extremely nice, quick and attentive. She answered all questions and got out food out quickly. The restaurant was busy but not too loud and was still pretty clean. Food seemed fresh and everything was properly executed from the loaded tater tots to my buffalo chicken sandwich to the egg and cheese sliders. Everything was delicious. This is definitely a great location I'd suggest to others; and has convinced me to give this franchise a shot again in the future.

Stopped in for lunch because the sign outside said "Happy Endings are back". There are 8 meals that come with a happy ending- a free 1- scoop sundae. What ever were you thinking???? The meals include a burger, a Cobb salad, a fish sandwich, a Cobb salad, a stir fry and a few other choices. I chose the cheesesteak melt. And it was actually quite good! Shredded steak with sautéed onions and green peppers. My opinion is that if you put sautéed onions and peppers on a shoe it would taste great. So basically I knew I wouldn't hate it. I didn't know how much I'd like it!! There was some kind of gooey American cheese and to be honest I prefer mozzarella to American but it was all melted and gotta say, it was tasty. Grilled on rye and served with fries , very enjoyable. Add the freebie sundae- what more could you want? I opted for the forbidden chocolate ice cream and hot fudge topping- yum. The server, Pat, was friendly and attentive. Always a plus! I haven't been to a Friendly's in years. This was Formica and chrome with old timey ice cream photos. I took the photo after I'd begun eating- sorry but I was hungry! No frills to look at, but it was very good!

We came across blue-collar restaurant, but when we pulled in, I was surprised to see it was located inside a golf country club. I almost turned around, but my daughter encouraged us to give it a try--and I'm so glad we did. The restaurant was beautiful inside, with a peaceful view overlooking the golf course that made for a really relaxing lunch. The food was excellent. I ordered the salmon with vegetable risotto special, and it was absolutely delicious--perfectly cooked and full of flavor. What really stood out, though, was the service. My daughter is nursing, and my granddaughter has soy and dairy allergies, so we had to be very careful with her meal. Our waiter, Matt, was outstanding. He went above and beyond, checking with the kitchen multiple times to make sure everything was completely free of soy and dairy. He helped put together a custom salad bowl for her, which she thoroughly enjoyed. Overall, we had such a lovely experience--from the food to the atmosphere to the attentive service. I would absolutely recommend this spot and would gladly return.

We've been to the best places in the city and this most certainly is right up there if not better in some instances. Stand outs were basically everything but the Burrata, Horse Fries and Cheeseburger were to die for. Everything was cooked to perfection. We marveled at how they made this decadent cheeseburger so darn light and airy. We didn't have a reservation so rather than wait 20 minutes for a table in the main dining room (with wonderful live jazz band) we chose to eat at a table by the bar. Weston, the bartender and our server, was attentive and helpful throughout. We may have to come back to Lancaster just to experience this place once again! It's truly a meal we won't forget.

But awesome all the same! For how busy they were, the server was very attentive and very accommodating as we were yapping away and constantly not ready with our orders so kuddos for the team and putting up with us! I love the mystery beer concept, its not great beer, but being from DC at like $2 a can, I am not passing that up, ever. And a cheap beer with a burger is the perfect combo! On to the burger... I have heard that this is a great burger... and I have to conclude that I agree though it is reminiscent of a Big Mac - just way better ingredients - it has to be the sauce they put on it... Anyway, nice size patty, good amount of toppings and a quality bun (not too soft, not too thick, bread soaks up some of the juices but doesn't fall apart). The mussels were quite excellent as well. It was a Thai curry broth the night we were there and it was drinkable, like soup... we did ask for extra bread... enough said. I am going to take a minute too and praise their spirit free cocktails. THIS IS HOW THEY SHOULD BE MADE. They used bitters, tonics, etc to craft something that tasted like a cocktail but without alcohol which means they were not sickly sugary concoctions, but expertly crafted beverages. Just really great options. All that said though, their espresso martini was one of the worst I have had. Just skip that.

What I didn't foresee was that the ramp didn't lead directly to the restaurant. We went from the ramp into something like a storage closet. The turn from the ramp to the room was so tight that I basically had to do a three point turn to get her through the door. Then we had to get through a glass door, walk down a hall and THEN through to door to the restaurant. I seriously needed a rest after that trek. If my mom had been using her walker, she would not have made it into the restaurant. Once through the door though, we were cheerily greeted and seated. We had our drinks within a few minutes and a few minutes after that, we were ready to order. My mom ordered the fish sandwich and I got the Miss Calee burger. That was two mistakes in a row. The fish was overdone and a little hard. It was supposed to come with tartar sauce but it didn't. I would have asked for some but my mom didn't tell me until later. I don't think she ate half of her sandwich. My burger was definitely not much better. The patty was dried out and a hard. The dressing almost non existing - I did ask for more which helped a little but couldn't save the sandwich. I'm grew up in Pittsburgh and have lived in Alabama for 25 years. I am no stranger to slaw on my sandwiches. This slaw just didn't cut it - not even close. We both upgraded and had fries instead of chips. The fries saved the meal from being a complete disaster. I think the most telling sign about the food is that we left over half our meal and didn't bring the leftovers home for my dad. He will eat ANYTHING but in this case, it wasn't worth wasting a to-go box. Back to the handicapped accessibility - I took my mom to the restroom. It was barely large enough to get in chair in and there was absolutely no way possible to maneuver it in there. I keep calling her chair a "wheel" chair - it is actually a transport chair. It's much smaller than a traditional wheelchair. A regular wheelchair would have had problems getting around. Two positives, the prices were quite reasonable and I don't think there was a single employee without a smile. I wouldn't mind coming back one morning to try breakfast but I definitely won't be bringing mom.

Thankfully Mad Chef was open later than most places so we got in before the kitchen closed. I enjoyed the low lighting with the brewery equipment shining in the background. Having the Phillies game on the tv's only added to our experience. Our drinks and food were excellent. I always like to enjoy a local craft beer, having it paired on site with fabulous eats is even better. I ordered Mr Dynamite Brown, their American brown ale which was fabulous. We ordered a small Pommes Frites (French fries) that were cooked in Canola oil. While light in color, these fries were cooked to perfection. Crispy outside, fluffy inside, salted just right. My wife ordered the pretzel and said it was her type, buttery, salty, and doughy. I ordered the Korean Pork Nachos, by far the best nachos I've ever had the pleasure to devour. I can't begin to describe how well the roasted corn poblano medley brought this plate together. Every bite had an explosion of flavor with the Korean glaze and Gochujang aioli. This dish blows Guy Fieri's trash can Brisket nachos out of the water. If ever in Lancaster don't pass up on the Mad Chef Craft Brewing gem.

This was a delicious sandwich that just screams Georgia! We also tried the Madfather Chicken Sandwich! Pesto, Vodka Sauce, Mozzarella, this thing was outstanding!
