Wow! Like most...I hate the dentist! I only go when the tooth is beyond saving (yes...I know...very dumb of me). I think this office was great. Front desk was nice and the dentist was calm and reassuring. Very clean operation. I can't decide what I hate the most about being in the dentist chair...the numbing or the drill? Anyway....very low pain. As a cash patient...I'm hopeful this $200 was well spent. Once this numbing wears off...I'm hopeful the throbbing pain I was in all week goes away. I am so impressed! What a great dentists and staff. After having a horrible experience taking my 4 yo to the dentist (a different one) one time I was scared to try again. I called for an appointment and they were very nice on the phone. They have Saturday appointments, which is a big plus. We got an appointment for less than a week away. Big pro is it doesn't smell like a dentist office. Very clean office. The hygienist was sweet to my son and the dentists was just as great. He took his time but didn't take too much time. Kept things at a great pace so that my child wasn't sitting waiting or freaking out. He cleaned my sons teeth and took x-rays. In and out in 40 minutes. This is a really nice place so don't let the location fool you! I was a little skeptical because of the location but came here on a co-workers recommendations. I came here today for my first check-up/cleaning since I came to the country. I waited a little while for Dr. Ha but I wasn't in a hurry so I really didn't care. His assistant saw me right away though and did the x-rays. Very sweet girl! Dr. Troy Ha is really sweet and takes the time to answer all your questions - if you have any. This place is great! Situated in a non-descript strip mall, I have never noticed it before...and I live 2 blocks away! Anyhow, once inside, the office is clean, the staff is friendly. On my first visit, I probably waited 5 minutes. Today, the wait was considerably longer, but they were very busy. They take walk-ins, so that could've been a factor. The best part is that they have a big screen TV that you can watch while you're waiting in the dentist chair. Dr. Ha is great about explaining things. Very professional. Its not located in one of the prettiest looking neighborhoods, but its ok. the dr was running a little late so i had to wait a little, but that always seems to happen at the dentist. nothing excessive tho. i went for a routine cleaning and let me just say i HATE going to the dentist. the cleaning wasnt as painful as ive experienced before. he explained what he found and what i should do to keep my teeth and gums healthy and recommend i come back in 6 months. his assistant was friendly, but the receptionist at the front does NOT smile! but i'll be back soon for my next appt! read more

When the time comes to see a dentist, there's one thing that's VERY IMPORTANT to me. I don't want to feel nervous about ANY part of the experience! Not the night before, not driving to my appointment, and definitely not during! That's why I drive about an hour each way to see Dr. Ha. He makes me feel so at ease. He smiles right when I see him. He visits with me like a normal down-to-earth human being, never rushing me in conversation whether it's about my teeth or just life in general. I had appointment at 2: PM with Dr. Troy Ha last weekend. That's my first time. His office normally closes at 3:00PM on Sat. because I 'm a busy person, I requested to have my dental treatment to be done in one apointment. So, Dr. Ha and his staff had to work until 5:00PM for me. Having over 3 hours at Dr. Ha's office to have all my teeth checked, clean and 5 teeth treated, I also have a chane to chat to Dr. Ha and his staff in the front before I leave. I have to tell you: "They are so nice, friendly and care. They treat their patient as their own family member. they had not rushed to leave even it's getting dark. They said they have Halloween party coming up at home with big smile". I left Dr. Ha's office with confident smile. My family will be his patients from now. Dr. Troy Ha was the third dentist, I visited due to a loose crown on a back molar. Both basically said it needed to come out. One referred me to an oral surgeon and one said he could to it, the problem being I would have to wait a long time to have it done. I looked up oral surgeons on yelp and Troy Ha DDS popped up with great reviews! I thought "let me give him a call". I called and was able to get an appointment the next day for a consultation and extraction depending on his findings. I did have some reservations as the location was a bit strange plus the day before my consultation I brought in an x-ray of the tooth to see if he could do the extraction because this tooth has previously had a root canal so it would be brittle plus it was cracked under the crown. The lady at the counter looked at it for 2 seconds, handed back to me and said "He can do it, see you tomorrow." I said ok, you don't want to show the dentist? she said "he's not here but, I looked at it, he can do it". I said "ok". I was a bit nervous after that but, I thought a lot of the receptionists at dental offices really know their stuff so lets see how this goes. So, I am writing this, still numb from the local anesthetic to tell you, this is a fantastic dental office and Dr. Tony Ha is a fantastic dentist. Everything is very modern and clean, he is very thorough and professional even though my extraction was a difficult one, he performed the task like a champ. I was paying out of pocket and I found is pricing to be very reasonable. He is calm, makes you feel at ease, plus they have TV's you can watch while waiting in the chair, that was cool! I'm very glad I came across this place.Thanks Yelp! I am currently trying to purchase dental insurance and I want to make sure I can go to Dr. Ha with whatever I get. Thanks Dr. Ha and staff! It's taken me 25 years, and probably over 30 different dental searches, to find a dentist I trust. Dr. Ha is a rarity. He's exceptionally friendly, reasonable, honest, and punctual--all qualities I didn't think existed in dentists. I'm hesitant to share him with Yelp, just because I'm afraid others will start flocking to him and it will be harder to get appointments. Now that the old lady seems to be gone from the front desk staff I cannot think of anything I do not love about this place. No multi bookings. Dr Ha comes in and takes care of you, not his hygienist, he himself takes care of you. If you need numbing he injects you and does not leave your side until he is finished. No getting put in a room and waiting an hour like most places. In and out seems to be his policy. I called in last minute to make an urgent appointment and didn't expect to be seen that day, but the receptionist was really helpful and fit me into their schedule for an urgent appointment that afternoon. They were accommodating since it was my first time there and even went out of their way to verify that everything was covered by my insurance before doing anything that would cost me out of pocket. I brought my little sister here for a dental exam and we received the best customer service and treatment we were running very late and they were more than willing to accommodate us a half hour after we were supposed to be there. i cannot say enough about dr troy ha. i don't have the best dental luck. i've had more than a few emergencies (chipped tooth, abscess, aches) and he always finds time to fit me in - no problem, no matter how last minute. he is kind, patient, and excellent at communicating both what's happening as well as what treatment options are available. i recently traveled to mexico to have extensive specialist work done and was overwhelmed when i realized what i was facing after my initial consultation (extractions, implants, root canals, gum surgery...) i called dr ha as soon as i left the office to ask his opinion on their recommendations. he got right on the phone with me. can we all take a moment to marvel at that? a doctor getting on the phone to talk to a patient? moreover to discuss procedures being performed by a different practice he has no obligation to entertain. but dr ha genuinely cares. we spoke at length. his honest, informed advice greatly helped me move forward - both by helping me to understand the reasoning behind each proposal and also by reassuring me simply by taking the time to discuss each and every question i had (and i had quite a few). and after i exhausted all my concerns? he encouraged me to get in touch anytime if i needed any more advice. a wonderful person. a wonderful dentist. dr ha - you are a legend. read more

I went to Dr. Ha based on Yelp reviews and proximaty to my location. Getting an appointment was very easy - I went in the next day. The prices were explained to me very clearly (i asked before I went there.) First visit I waited about 15 minutes. The following 2 visits I was seen right away, so I am happy with their time management. I had deep cleaning done in 2 visits. It was pretty much pain free experience. At first I was concerned that 50 minutes would not be enough time to get thorough cleaning done for 1/2 of the mouth, but he really did a thorough and efficient job! The soreness I had for a few years literally went away that day. I paid in cash - $400 for full mouth deep cleaning. General dotor's visit is only $30. The dentist explained in details and with a demo model what the procedure would involve and which teeth had problems. So I felt I was not blind to what was being done. The clinic is very very clean - that is very important. The only negative thing I have to say is that the dental assistant definitely needs some patient sensitivity training. It really is not cool to make gasping sound and commenting on how she could not stand the scaling sound. Hello! I am still here! Overall, I am very glad I went to Dr. Ha's clinic and would definitely recommend him based on the results I have gotten. read more

I had a severe gum disease which he treated. Then he taught me how to thoroughly brush and care for my teeth and gums. Now, I just visit him every 6 months for cleaning. He asked me what was I doing. Dr. Ha is a good dentist. I found the front office staff rude. Who hands someone a card and does not look at them and lets the patient stand up at the desk and not say anything. If the doctor would not have walked up to the front, they probably would have let me stand there forever. I booked an appointment with this dental office over 2 months ago for them to call me on the same day of my appointment to cancel because they do not take my dental insurance (Delta Dental PPO) for new patients. I specifically asked if they were taking new patients when I first called and if they accepted my insurance. That's the only reason I booked my appointment.
