They did a lpg heater tune up Monday, no heat by Wednesday? Had burners cleaned by someone else and all working just fine.

We also wanted an an estimate for a new humidifier, to change out the lavatory handles that had been installed backwards, replace a utility room faucet, and to do a general inspection of all the plumbing In our house. We have plans to add a new bathroom to our unfinished basement and he had good advice about that. The humidifier went in without a hitch! The handles on the lavatories were changed without a problem! The new utility sink faucet that was installed was a dream! My lavatory leaks though...these had to be tinkered wIth several times., on several different days. You are thinking, WHY FIVE STARS???? This is why! Our plumber came out several times, in a very timely manner, to make things right. He could have easily told us that this was a worse repair than what it was. He was unfailingly polite, and optimistic and got the leak problem solved. Everyone that I've talked to or dealt with at Mattioni Plumbing has been very profesdional and helpful. I look forward to calling them for our basement bathroom project because I am sure that they willl do it right, and more importantly, if there are any unforeseen problems, THEY WILL MAKE IT RIGHT!

I called Mattioni to look at my toilet which was making a strange vibrating sound. Upon a quick inspection, they told me I needed a new filler valve and flapper. First, they tried to pitch me on their "membership" at least 3 times. Then they asked if I wanted to buy a new water heater. When it came time for my actual estimate, they priced rebuilding my entire toilet, which when pressed they admitted was completely unnecessary for my issue (but would "help with future longevity"). When I asked how much it would cost just to fix my specific issue (a new filler value and flapper), they came up with the insane cost of $480. I declined. For a $15 trip to the hardware store and about 10 minutes of work with a YouTube video, now my toilet works just fine.

Joe is awesome. We recently bought a new house and the oil furnace and AC were 20 years old. We got…read more7 estimates, ranging from companies that advertise on KYW and the back of SEPTA buses to smaller one man shops. We ended up selecting King HVAC and I'm really glad that we did. He offered us a modulating furnace and A/C for the same price as what another big player offered (they were selling a 2 stage system). His warranty was also beyond the standard 10/1, it was 13 years parts, 3 years labor. He sells Bryant, which is the same thing as Carrier. Wifi thermostat, he's running new gas lines for us, the whole thing. He's very professional and carried a book with him that included photos of his install. He pointed out where he would put the condensation sensors, how he would route the lineset, the whole thing.. which impressed me. He's also very accessible over the phone and pretty responsive over e-mail. Joe and his Dad spent a day and a half installing the system and were just awesome. Finally, two or three years later, we had a problem after a thunderstorm where the AC wouldn't run. I called him and he was able to swing by with only a few hours notice on a Sunday. He found that one of the circuit breakers was reset or maybe bad. He just flipped it back on and stuck around for a few minutes to make sure it was all good. Best part? No charge and he was here for probably a half hour on a Sunday. You can see the difference between a small operation like Joe and a larger place that advertises everywhere. The real value is in supporting a small business and you're rewarded with great customer service compared to the big, nameless companies.

    Angelo's Cleaning

I hired Angelo's for carpet cleaning and air duct cleaning at my new home, I'm EXTREMELY UNHAPPY…read morewith how the services went and here is why: To begin, when they pulled into my driveway they ran over the end of my sidewalk with their vehicle and popped off one of the bricks which I now have to re-glue. Air Ducts: They began the air duct cleaning and shortly into the service they damaged one of my air ducts behind the wall, thus leaving me with a now broken airway to my powder room. The technician's equipment and large hose was shoved into my vent with no pre-examination of the sizing and now my flexible duct does not reach as it once did prior to Angelo's showing up. By shoving their equipment down improperly, they popped off the flexible duct even though it was zip tied (as it is supposed to be) and shredded it. They said they would have a manager come out to speak and review the issue that day and that never happened. Carpets: They arrived with equipment that was very different than what I was expecting. It did not appear to be commercial equipment rather something similar to what I could buy myself (like a Bissell). The carpet did get cleaned, but to me it seemed very odd that their equipment wasn't what I'm used to seeing. Several stains are still on my carpets (which I know sometimes they are very hard to remove), but most times they are able to at least be lessened. I give them a 7/10 on the carpets. I have been in contact with them about a refund and they only gave me $50 back for the 2 vents they charged me for! that they broke and weren't able to clean. Now I need to go to Home Depot and spend more $$$ to try and correct this duct problem they created. Their fine print states that they "aren't responsible for damages behind walls" which is absolutely ridiculous in my opinion. Only good thing is that they were responsive to the email complaint. DO NOT USE THEM for your air duct cleaning. I should have gone with Stanley Steamer instead and will never be using Angelo's again -- you shouldn't either.
