Less than six months ago I bought a truck from Autosports in Fortville. I had problems with it from…read morethe very beginning. The truck needed a tune up right out of the gate. They fixed that for me, as well as the A/C. Although, when I went to pick my truck up a week after my purchase when it was suppose to be fixed, the heat no longer worked and the A/C did. So I left it there and told them to fix that, which they said they would do. Another week goes by and I drive 45 min to pick it up AGAIN and the heater works and the A/C doesn't. So I left it there to be fixed AGAIN. Mind you, there are no warranties offered here. So I finally got to pick it up one more time after they had it for about 3 weeks after I gave them a check for $7500. Everything seemed to check out at the time. This was a mistake. About 4 months later the truck started acting really weird again. Soon after it started acting funny it began to die on me and I lost all of my oil pressure. So about a month later after trying to diagnose the problem myself and having no success and about $300 in parts later, I take it to an auto mechanic to have a full diagnostic done professionally. It comes to find out that the truck that I purchased 6 MONTHS AGO needs a NEW MOTOR. So just to recap, the truck cost me $7500 and now I have to pay $3500 to have a new motor purchased and installed. That makes it an $11,000 investment. I will never recommend this dealership to anyone. They tell people that their vehicles are quality and up to date just to sell them. Very sleazy and pathetic trick to play on a first time car buyer. Mind you, I'm 21 years old and was 20 at the time of the purchase. A new $11,000 debt and I can barely by alcohol. Good people over at Autosports. NEVER BUY FROM THEM UNLESS YOU WANT A NEW LAWN ORNAMENT!!!!!

I'm accustomed to used dealers having at least somewhat inflated prices, so this was a pleasant surprise. Test drove a couple, and really liked one in particular so I came back within a couple days to get it. Had several interactions with who I presume is the owner, his son, and another lady there, and all interactions were very pleasant - no abrasive sales pushing, no excessive chatting, no sleaziness. Again, not what I'm accustomed to at a used dealer. They took my older car as a trade, gave me a good deal, and I'm very pleased with the car I got. It was an older car so I've learned to always assume there will be some maintenance I need to catch up on, but even after getting whatever needed fixed fixed, I still consider this a good deal. Best experience at a used car dealer I've had. I have another vehicle I'm considering replacing and may end up just coming back here since they've earned my trust. Would recommend this used dealer over any others I've dealt with in the past.

Monday afternoon I went ahead and emailed sales rep as well as through website directly, again no response. So Tuesday I decided to call and at that time it was explained that the sales agent was fired, and no longer with the company. At that time I asked if she had my file and could check if my credit card information was in it as last thing I wanted is for a disgruntled employee is to have my personal credit card information. She said she would check, as well as have the owner reach out to me. The owner did reach out (Tuesday) leaving a message (apologizing as well as requesting a call back to grasp what's going on), however did not mentioned if my credit card information was still in my file or not. Called the owner back and explained the situation, however a lot of the information given on Saturday was missing (moneys owed on trade, credit scores, and negotiated prices discussed). Explained to Bryan at that time I did not have the exact money owed on vehicle, however I could gladly check again and email it over the next day (Wednesday). Once again, did not hear anything Wednesday so I followed up via email on Thursday as well as shot Brian a quick text. At that time he mentioned he was at a car auction but promised to reach back that night...again, no response. So Friday I reached out again via email explaining that I have been more than patiently waiting to get a response. After not getting an email back or a phone call as promised, decided to stop in to see what's going on. At that time the young lady explained the Brian was not there but if I would wait for 10 minutes he could be. Once again patiently waited, and upon Brian's arrival he explained he believed I was denied due to debt to income ratio. I explained this must be an error as I'm quite aware of my debt to income ratio. After Brian looked into it deeper this was not the case, however it did state I was denied by one bank but it was not clear into why so Brian suggested I contacted them to see what happened. When calling they explained it was a small debt from 11+ years ago when banking with them, but by no means was I denied by poor credit or due to debt to income ratio. I ended up calling Brian back leaving this message to see if they only finance through one bank (as I should have been approved from all the others) as well as emailing him, but once again no response. Overall I have to say the whole car experience at this location was sub-par from the lack of communication, running credit twice, having to give the same information twice, not confirming if credit card information was still in file, and from not following up when promised. It seemed there was a lack of empathy after Tuesday, and I should have known at that time this was not the place for me as there was little to no care in following through with what was promised. If not paying in cash or having financing in place before the purchase of a vehicle, I would stay far away from this car lot.

I didn't know what to expect. If I had known that you could rent a golf cart to go in the yard instead of pushing a wheelbarrow around a 6 football field sized yard filled with 100's of cars I would have done so. Noted. But all the vehicle's were elevated so getting under them was easy. There were engine lifts out there i didn't have to use one so I don't know what or how someone would go about borrowing one. But they have them. The parts are very reasonable and if you are in the tires or batteries, pretty much anything else that you could want or need for a vehicle they have it.

Now I know it's in the name, but just know that you will have to take the part off the scrap vehicle out in the yard. So some basic wrenching knowledge is needed. I took my own tools, but it looked like they had some tools for use out there. Also, if you are looking to get a big part, or a bunch of parts, they have wheelbarrows you can use, or golf carts you can rent for $5/hr ($20 deposit). The $2 yard entry fee was interesting...not sure why they'd charge me to look, but it's only $2. Also if you sign up for their free vip program you get two free entries and $1 entries after that.
