We purchased a GMC Yukon Denali XL and within a month we were broke down on the side of the freeway with my small children! To make matters worse, we had just left our friends house where my son was having a NEW allergic reaction to their dogs. So we left to go home to get my son his medication and our new car that we just purchased from Truck World the month before was broke down. After waiting for the tow truck and having it towed to a local autoshop the mechanics there stated that the vehicle was 1 qt low on oil and the oil that was in it was extremely dirty and has metal in it and that there's no way that Truck World did any maintenance on the vehicle before selling it to us. So we now need a new motor in it! WITHIN A MONTH YOU GUYS!!! My husband bought a new family vehicle that I could drive around safely. Taking the kids to and from school, grocery shopping typical mom stuff. And this is what happened after purchasing it from Truck World. I am mind blown that a company can sell a vehicle like that KNOWING that there vehicle are not looked over as they say they are. We have NEVER EVER had anything like this happen before dealing with a big dealership before. I have called several times and even multiple times a day and the General Manager Anthony Sowell is completely avoiding my calls. The sales team says he will call me back or he'll be in in a certain time frame and he doesn't call me or all of a sudden he's busy and is helping someone else. And NEVER calls me back. It is completely unprofessional and to completely avoid a customer who just spent thousands of dollars purchasing a vehicle with you is just absolutely rude. I will never refer anyone to purchase anything through Truck World as the General Manager Anthony Sowell is completely unprofessional.

The day after we got it back from the shop

This is the truck we "bought" the day after we got it. The check engine codes came in after we got it back. PLEASE HEED THIS WARNING. DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THIS BOUNTIFUL LOT OR CENTERVILLE this dealership is crooked, dishonest and dirty. To say they take advantage is an understatement. We walked in New Year's Day to trade a 2021 Ford F-150 Powerboost hybrid with 14k miles on it. We owned it free and clear with title in hand. I recently learned that I needed a medical procedure done. My insurance would not cover it so my only option was to pay cash. So I swallowed my pride and accepted my truck would have to go. We called about a Toyota Tundra and we're told it would be there and warmed up when we arrived. As we got there we were met by Troy (salesman #1) who told us sorry the Toyota is gone but we have lots of other options. After about 4 hours we were pointed at a 2017 Nissan Titan XD Diesel when I asked about price was told "let me worry about your price" he assured us he understood why we were doing this and wanted to take care of us. After some back and forth we chose not to buy the car as sir would create a new payment for us. The sales manager Hunter came over and sweet talked us into the truck We agreed on a price and they agreed to pay us $20,000.00 back on top of the deal. Drive home and went to bed. The next morning on the way to church the garage smelled of diesel fuel but I ignored it and assumed it was a new smell in the garage. Monday morning I woke up early to warm up the truck to take my son to work and noticed a large puddle of bluish fluid on the ground. When I smelled it I could tell it was diesel fuel. I'm fact I looked under and saw a steady stream of diesel flowing from the truck. After calling the dealership I was told "it's a good thing you bought a warranty". We had the truck towed to a diesel mechanic here in west haven and were told it was a $1500 repair. He also told us that whoever owned this truck had trashed it and it was destroyed. Peter that night (Wednesday) I drove the truck back to the dealership begging them to take it back and give me my truck back, or allow me to buy something more reliable I was told that wasn't going to happen and everything was fixed and not to worry. Almost home and the check engine light comes on, and a low power warning I call and ask a friend to pull my truck home and into the garage. At this point the dealership has ghosted me. They owe me $20k and I have a broken $38,000 POS parked in my garage. And btw they own the warranty company and will not even let me start a claim until they clear it through Anthony Sowell (owner) of the dealerships. DO NOT TRUST THEM DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM

Super low pressure, lots of great inventory and I LOVED that they let me test drive by myself. I was able to try out lots of cars and felt comfortable giving them a real test drive as opposed to feeling held back by having the salesman with me. I got fantastic service from James and Mark, true apostles of great service. I will be back to Kentson in the future I'm sure.

We were super happy with the experience and thought their sales team and cars were great. Fast forward to this year. We messaged them about a car since we were helping a friend who needed to purchase a car. I received a phone call from Trevor asking about our interest in the car and I told him we were coming in the next day to look at it, but mentioned to him we were looking at a competitors car as well. He told us that the competitors weren't good and sold lemon cars, which I thought was pretty negative of them. Especially since we've bought several cars from this competitor many times throughout the years and been super happy with them. And whenever we've told the competitor that we were looking at cars from Kentson, they didn't say one bad thing about them. When we went to test drive the cars today Trevor wasn't there but another sales guy helped us. He was helpful but all of the cars we drove were all filthy and smelled bad, or the tires were completely worn down and would have needed to be replaced. We walked back in to the sales floor after driving a car and our salesman wasn't there so we handed the keys to the salesperson there. He looked at us confused and like we were bothering him (even though there was no one else in there) and we wondered what was going on. We told him we were dropping the key off and were going to look at another one but didn't know where the other guy had gone. He didn't say much and it was really uncomfortable. Come to find out, that was Trevor that I had talked to the other day. It wasn't professional at all. Instead of greeting us and asking us what he could do to help us he just stared at us and acted confused. We went back outside and the other salesman was there with another car for us to drive. That one was much better, and my friend was seriously considering it, but after driving it we told them we wanted to check out the other one at Rand's just to see what it was like. They mentioned again how they sell lemon cars (they do sell buy backs with minor issues that have been fixed from Tesla) and that they would never buy cars from them. My husband told them that we'd be talking to the guy we usually buy from over there and we'd be in touch. All of us were really uncomfortable with how they were trying to trash the other car dealership and it left a really bad impression. We drove down to the other dealership and all of the cars there were so much better taken care of. They had replaced tires and detailed all of the cars and it was just a much better experience. We told them that we saw one at Kentson that we liked and he said that they are a great dealership and have good inventory. We all looked at each other and were blown away. It just made Kentson look even worse. My friend ended up buying the car from the competitors and not Kentson. And afterward both of us got calls and texts from Trevor asking us how the test drive was at the competitors. I texted him back that she ended up getting a different car (so that he didn't keep contacting us - talk about high pressure) and he wanted to know which one she bought! It's none of his business which car she purchased, and I knew he was going to look it up and tell me what was wrong with it and why we shouldn't have considered it. It was just super unprofessional and we all said we would never go back there. It's a shame because they used to be really good but they've gone way down hill!!

I believed they power washed it off so it looked clean before purchase. They wouldn't help with cost of the repair. I do understand that I bought the vehicle "AS Is", but this seems like deception to me. When I got there, I looked underneath and saw the front axle leak. I never took it to a mechanic, as you are aware of. You brought it to your mechanic to get it repaired as part of our deal. Update: Two months Later: I contacted them to let them know I called the DMV inquiring about why my license plate had not been delivered yet, and told them that the DMV has not received their report of the vehicle being sold yet. Their reply: "I'm waiting for the title from America first. Should be here any day. Delays like this are abnormal. We've struggled with the previous owner of the jeep for her cooperation. I'll have a better update tomorrow." My Reply: "Thanks, I feel like you should have been on top of this, but now you are because I bring it to your attention. I'm just a little frustrated that I am driving a Jeep that I could get a ticket because the registration isn't correct." Their Reply: "how about you bring that Jeep back and I'll give you your money back" My Reply: "that's not possible, I put too much money into it to fix it so it can work correctly" Their Reply: "it's either patience on your part or unwind the deal" My Reply: "well, do you think two months after the deal has been signed is being patient enough?" Their Reply: "Bring it back" My Reply: "no, I'm not doing that. Like I said, I poverty spent and invested money into this vehicle, like the oil leak." So they're answer for not doing their job correctly is bring it back after I've already spent $2,500 plus on this vehicle.
