This is my second visit at Bouchée confections, and it was still as amazing as I remembered…read more This time, I took my mom for high tea and she loved it. She is gluten free and was impressed at how good all the gluten free items were, and how they were able to keep an extremely similar menu even. She only had one item that was completely different than what I received (a cheesecake instead of a fruit tart). You can really tell that they work hard to ensure the gluten free menu is as amazing as the non gluten free one. Everything was absolutely delicious, including the bottomless tea. I think the peach cardamom scone was my favorite today! I was happy that they could make my tea iced as it was a really hot summer day. The server was amazing, she was attentive and friendly. The place settings were super cute and I felt transported to England. I am definitely going to come back a third time with some friends! I love that the menu changes every month so you always have something new to try! Don't forget to make reservations!

The staff was friendly, professional, and helpful as this was our 1st tea time. The shop is bright and airy but it was a a bit smaller than I expected. The tea setting was beautifully done but our table was extremely small which made teatime challenging at times. During the teas each person gets their own pot of unlimited tea. We did the Jasmine Glow tea and the Strawberry Chocolate Pu'erh. The teas were amazingly delicious! They were so good that we bought some to bring home. The bites were flavorful, just the right size, and complemented each other beautifully. You could taste the love and care that went into each one of the items. They also offer 2 speciality adult beverages each month. The Prosecco float was my favorite! This was a wonderful and delicious experience. We can't wait for next month's tea!

Amber and Daniel always make me feel right at home! Very friendly and always going above and beyond to give us a great experience! The chocolates are always incredible! Their team recently welcomed our staff for a tour of their headquarters, and it was such a treat to see how much care goes into what they make. Every piece is handcrafted by their small local team, and you can feel the pride they take in their work. We also got to taste their seasonal Key Lime Pie Bonbon, which was incredible. On top of the tour, Dorinda's donated several huge bags of pretzels for our clients and staff to enjoy. Dorinda's has also participated in our But First, Dessert Gala every year from 2022 through 2025 and is a three-time winner of our Best Dessert Award, which says a lot because the competition is always strong. We are grateful to have Dorinda's as a neighbor, a partner, and a local business that genuinely shows up for the community. Highly recommend supporting this amazing local business and community supporter!

This place felt like Willy Wonka opened a milkshake bar for the Instagram generation…read more We stopped by Black Rock Dessert while looking for ice cream and instead found milkshakes on steroids. We ordered the Dust Storm: a vanilla milkshake with chocolate bits, topped with a giant blondie skewered dramatically on top, plus whipped cream, sprinkles, and chocolate drizzle. The rim of the jar was coated in marshmallow dip and graham cracker crumbs because apparently subtlety has left the chat. Honestly, the presentation was on point and exactly the kind of milkshake kids dream about. Which is why we ordered it. My tween declared it "the best milkshake I've ever seen in my life," and honestly, that alone made it worth the stop on our mother-daughter trip. Taste-wise, it leaned very sweet for me and didn't have a ton of flavor depth beyond sugar overload. But clearly the goal here is maximal fun and aesthetic, and they absolutely nailed that. It's basically a photo op you can drink. The shop itself was surprisingly quiet when we visited in the evening--we had the whole place to ourselves--but there were games to play while waiting for our order (we pulled out Pick Up Sticks, which transported me straight back to my 90s childhood living room). The ladies at the counter were also incredibly kind and patient explaining the menu and flavors to us. If you're looking for an over-the-top dessert experience your kids will talk about for days, this is your place.

When we walked in, the store was clean, simple, and very minimalistic. There were a few employees inside, but no one greeted us or said anything when we came in. I think that may be because ordering is done at the kiosk off to the side, but it still would have been nice to get a quick hello or even a few recommendations, especially since the menu changes. We ended up ordering a mini 6-pack box, which came out to about $15. We got milk chocolate chip, pink sugar, brownie batter, cookies and cream, mom's recipe, and one of the weekly specials, cookies and cream cheesecake. Overall, the cookies were pretty good. The cookies and cream and pink sugar were definitely the best of the bunch. The others were okay, but nothing that really stood out. The cheesecake cookie was a little weird to me and not something I would order again. Crumbl is decent to good, but at the price point, it is hard to justify it as anything more than an occasional treat. You can find cookies that are just as good from local bakeries, often at a better price. Still, it was a fun stop with friends and a nice way to end my birthday night.
