I had such an amazing experience at Trudy's! The store was fairly busy on a Saturday but I still felt attended and listened to and the dressing area felt very private. I was lucky to have Zea as my bridal stylist who made the experience so much better. She pulled options and alternatives for me based on pictures I had shown but also pulled things I may have not chosen at first glance but ultimately led me to finding my dress! She was insightful and offered real direct feedback and comparisons which made me feel better about my decision. Many other stylists popped in as well to help and offer insight without being pushy. I had to actually tell her no more dresses so we could weed through the ones I really liked. I finally narrowed it down to 2 and I haven't said yes to the dress yet but I did take photos in the dresses and I'm going to sleep on them and go back in a couple weeks to decide and maybe try on just a couple more! Over the last 30 days I've attempted twice to use the online system to request an appointment and I have yet to receive a response from Trudys. If you have an online booking system, why not allow customers to actually book a space? Both my requests were met with a message that states someone along the lines of "THIS IS NOT A RESERVATION" and my request will have to be approved. What? What is there to approve? I've used several booking sites for bridal stores throughout the Bay Area and was able to click on an available date/time, pay the fee for the booking, and receive a confirmation immediately. What is this nonsense about my request being reviewed and approved? Do you not want business? Or are you looking for only certain clients? If I'm willing to pay the booking fee, and potentially lose it if I don't cancel, then what is the big deal? Thankfully, there are many other bridal boutiques that are responsive and helpful. I could not suggest a more perfect place to find my wedding dress! I had gone to other bridal store to narrow down what I thought I wanted before coming to Trudy's in order to pick THE dress. Here is a little backstory: I have been coming to Trudy's for years now. I have said yes to two pageant gowns before, so I already knew I would have a good experience when I wanted to find my perfect wedding gown. I got to work with Didi who is amazing! We had the center stage appointment, and honestly, I highly suggest it! My friends were able to bring drinks and snacks and enjoy themselves watching me. When we first arrived, Didi took me shopping through the racks to see if there was anything I had already seen online or when I had come previously for the Allure fashion show I had wanted to try one. Once we started trying on dresses I felt like a princess the entire time! I was enjoying myself, my mom and friends were enjoying themselves. All around it was an amazing time. If you're thinking of where you want to say yes to the dress with your girls, I say to go to Trudy's! In my experience, all the stylists are super sweet. She was the only person who asked me if I needed help as I browsed the huge MOG/MOB dress selection. A past reviewer suggested her, and it was fate that she approached me before I went back for an official try-on. Bubbly and smiling the entire time I tried on dresses, Nikki was patient, polite, listened to what I did NOT want, never made me feel rushed, unattended or awkward. She also was 100% game to try-on another dress after I had already finished up my session and was back in street clothes. She made the experience positive, fun, and we laughed so much! I also need to give all the gals at the front desk kudos, as they did all greet me upon walking in the door. When I went dress shopping at anthropology, Firstly i was NOT charged for an appointment (why would you charge ppl to shop in your store?) we were given a nice space to try on dresses with a couch and offered champagne (all free btw) then i was able to pick the dresses i wanted want to try on, then the stylist took my measurements and pulled the appropriate sizing for me to try on. I was not rushed either or told i had to leave or we didn't have enough time. I then was given a card with all the dresses i tried and what styles they were. This place was a completely different experience. Not only did i have to pay for an appointment just to shop there, but they did have a large selection which i liked but the stylist wouldn't even allow me to pick out any dresses that I actually wanted to try on, she decided she was going to pull them which i found strange bc as it's my big day you'd think you'd be allowed to pick which dresses you wanted to try on for YOUR day, my measurements were never taken to get the appropriate sizing to try on. She also was trying to be in the dressing room with me while i was naked (typically the ladies let you put on the dress and then they zip you up) i had to tell her if she could leave the room that would make me feel more comfortable lol which was so awkward... After that i was told that all the dresses i did try on, i couldn't buy anyways because there wasn't enough time to order them. Also apparently you can't even shop any of the dresses besides the sale rack without an appointment. So it was a complete waste of time. I drove over an hour just to be told to come back and that no more appointments were available (mind you i looked at the ppl and they all were just sitting at a desk not helping any customers so i think she just didn't want to extend my appointment). They apparently don't really want to make a sale i guess. It was Wednesday mid day middle of the week btw not a weekend and not a busy time. read more

Wow! wow wow! What a fantastic experience! My friend recommend this place to me, and I am so glad she did! Did we have an event coming up? No! Was there a special occasion we needed to celebrate. Not at all. But we did feel the need to try out beautiful dresses, and this place hit the mark. The store is super spacious and clean and has plenty of staff. It was a bit hectic when we arrived as we can in the midst of what looked to be some prom related chaos. (Teenagers and tulle! Everywhere!) But we were able to quickly secure a consultant who went to work getting us fitting rooms and size and dress recommendations! (Thank you Sherri!) The gowns here are really high quality. They also carry a variety of designers and styles. The only downside was that a lot of the dresses did not have very many sizes on hand. Typically each style had around 2 or 3 sizes at most. Sadly no alterations on site, but those are my only two gripes. read more

Plus you get $100 credit towards accessories. The room comes fully stocked with apple cider, candy, and some cookies. We brought our own champagne to celebrate as well. The room itself is spacious and clean. They had some butcher paper on the wall with a welcome sign for me and my guests to write on. Upon entering Trudy's it's clear they have a thorough selection of bridal dresses to choose from. My consultant, Judy, was an absolute dream to work with. I could tell right off the bat she had such positive and compassionate energy. She listened to everything I stated about my desired style and budget. She pulled such beautiful dresses but made it so easy to pick my perfect dress. Crazy to think I ended up with the first dress I tried on, but I think that's a testament to how good Judy is! She even pulled me a gorgeous vail to match my dress perfectly! I couldn't recommend coming to Trudy's enough for a seamless and enjoyable bridal experience. This is long overdue! I brought my daughter in a couple of months ago to pick out a prom dress. Kiera helped us and she is amazing! She made my daughter feel comfortable and explained the pros and cons of different styles and alterations that would be involved as she tried on the different dresses. I was so excited to schedule a bridal appointment for my sister's upcoming wedding. Trudy's has always been the go-to spot for weddings in our family, and we've made so many special memories there over the years. Unfortunately, it seems that tradition will have to come to an end. When I initially called to ask about dress fittings and appointments, the person I spoke with was friendly and helpful--exactly how I've always remembered Trudy's customer service to be. At the end of the call, she offered me three possible appointment times. Since I needed to confirm with the bride and bridesmaids to see what worked best, I let her know I would call back to finalize the booking. When I called back, I asked to speak with someone who could help schedule the appointment for my sister's wedding. I was met with a very unfriendly response: "We do all bookings online." I explained that I had just spoken with someone who told me to call back to schedule. After a loud sigh on the other end, the person hung up on me. Not only was that incredibly rude, but it was also disappointing enough to make us reconsider continuing our family tradition of shopping at Trudy's for bridal and bridesmaids dresses. This is such an exciting and meaningful time for families, and customers deserve respect and thoughtful customer service. I had the best time while I was at Trudy's. Everyone was extremely kind and welcoming AS SOON as I stepped in. The inside is beautiful and has so many different types of dresses with amazing quality. Abby sat down with me and my family and asked me questions about myself and what I was looking for. I appreciated her actually trying to get to know me personally as I hadn't gotten that anywhere else. Her expertise and eye for detail was amazing and truly added to the excitement of looking for my perfect wedding gown. Me being a bit Type A I did have a gown in mind already that they no longer had in store. Well they went above and beyond to find it for me simply just to try it on. Not even being sure that I would pick that dress. Being a plus size bride it took some searching by the manager and Abby for this dress and made sure they could find a size close enough to mine so that I could truly see what it would look like.
