I had a wonderful experience shopping for my wedding dress here. I booked my appointments online since I was coming in on a weekend. Elegant Lace Bridal doesn't charge a fee for appointments, which is nice. Victorina and Synthia were SO helpful and engaging. They were very personable and I had a lot of fun chatting with them throughout my appointments. I told them about the look I was going for and they pulled great dresses. It made it hard to choose! I also liked how they helped me get into the dresses and gave their feedback on veil lengths, silhouettes, materials, and etc. I've gone to another bridal boutique that was more "posh" and the service was so lackluster in comparison. Everyone I've had contact with at Elegant Lace Bridal has always been polite and knowledgeable. I highly recommend checking out Elegant Lace Bridal. The atmosphere is more casual but the service is excellent and there are tons of options you can browse through in store. read more

I would never even set foot in this store based on my experience with just trying to set up an appointment!! I was all excited as any bride is to go dress shopping with my family visiting from out of town. Unfortunately, the day I had planned to do it I was up from 2am and on with severe diarrhea, vomiting and fever. Total flu! I called to explain that to the staff and requested to reschedule to a date a bit farther out, because that's when my family is coming back in to town, and I still want the whole say yes to the dress experience with my mother, grandmother and sisters. To my disbelief and horror, I was given such attitude!!!! I mean mind you, I literally had to contact 4 bridal shops total that day to reschedule due to this situation and none of the other businesses (Trudy's and Anthropology to name a few) treated me the way Elegant Lace did!! I was told over the phone "I understand you're sick and everything but this is a last min cancellation so we don't reschedule that far out". All I needed was to shift my April 13th appointment to May 2nd, again because I was completely sick with the flu and that was the next date my family would be back in town. The representative proceeded to tell me I'll just have to owner call you and rudely ended the phone call. Feeling stressed, I immediately called back and said let's just reschedule to this Friday then, and the same lady rudely goes "Really?! Are you sure you're going to feel better by then?" I mean in the most sarcastic way possible. She proceeded to just rush me off the phone again after that. This whole exchange made me feel completely unwanted and guilty for not being able to come in. Why would any place want me to come in as the bride with a fever, vomiting and diarrhea?? NONE of the other places I had to contact gave me ANY attitude or ANY guilt AT ALL and were completely fine with me moving it out to the May 2nd date. After seeing these negative reviews about this place, it all clicked. The staff here needs some serious customer service training. I had a really disappointing experience with Cassie at Elegant Lace Bridal. I came in excited and was genuinely close to purchasing a dress on the spot, but the interaction quickly turned uncomfortable and honestly upsetting. Cassie asked what size I normally wear, and when I told her 0/2, she responded with "Really?" in a tone of shock and disbelief, with a facial expression that made me feel judged and not taken seriously. I tried to explain that at another boutique I had tried on an Enzoani dress in a size 4 with room to spare, but she continued to look at me like I was being unrealistic. She then told me I was "more of an 8 or 10," which felt completely dismissive and unnecessary. When she measured me, she said I would need to order an 8. I told her I was not comfortable with that, especially since I've never worn that size and was feeling bloated that day. Instead of being understanding, she wrapped the measuring tape tightly around my waist to demonstrate a smaller size and said, "It's too tight, huh?" At that point, I felt embarrassed, uncomfortable, and honestly demeaned. Wedding dress shopping should feel special, supportive, and uplifting. Unfortunately, this experience was the opposite. I would not recommend working with Cassie if you're looking for a positive and respectful environment. Update: I ended up purchasing my dress at Trudy's in a size 4, and it still needs alterations to be taken in further. If I had ordered from Elegant Lace and trusted Cassie's judgment, I would have ended up with a dress that was way too big and required significantly more alterations. read more

Realized we didn't post our experience from a while ago. Bought a wedding dress during one of the visiting trunk shows. When the dress arrived we went to pick it up. After paying for the remainder of the dress, we wanted to look for bridesmaid dresses. I asked if I could leave the dress hanging on the wall by the checkout counter (it was heavy) and the cashier said it was ok. We walked around but didn't see anything we liked. As we walked out, I picked up my dress. The older Hispanic cashier lady (different from the on who checked me out) yells out loud to "STOP!!! You're stealing the dress!" Horrified as THE ENTIRE STORE STOPPED TO STARE AT ME, I said I paid for my dress and have the receipt. Even after showing them my receipt, the lady still didn't believe me! She needed to find the carbon copy(?) and said she couldn't find it. After rummaging through their disorganized drawer for a few minutes, they finally find the copy and let me leave. Terrible customer service and I didn't even receive an apology from the lady who accused me of stealing! Avoid this store at all cost! You don't need this type of stress when planning for your big day. read more

Came here for an appointment and tried on some dresses by Martina Liana. I loved that the Bridal Consultant gave me freedom to look at all the dresses to select for try on. I came to the appointment alone, but felt very comfortable especially since this was fourth appointment, with no luck in finding a dress. I was highly interested in one dress with multiple customizations and the consultant said she would contact the designer to see if it was possible and be in touch with me. Fast forward 3.5 months later, I still haven't these back but found a dress somewhere else. I did read the reviews prior and had my concerns, but kept an open mind since Elegant Lace Bridals was recommended by a few wedding venues that I visited. I arrived on a Sunday afternoon and was captivated by how well stocked they were. I made a reservation a couple months ago FYI. I think they take walk ins on weekdays, but weekends require a reservation and it was very easy to do online. I did some wedding dress research prior and knew I wanted to check out one brand for sure - All Who Wander - which they carried. My bridal consultant was Sheryl and she was FANTASTIC. I cannot say how much she put me at ease for my first time. She was knowledgeable, friendly, open to criticism (from my group), and just great energy to be around. While I didn't walk away with a purchase just yet, Sheryl gave me a lot to think through and I have narrowed down my type of dress. Overall, I'd recommend Elegant Lace Bridals. It took about 2 days for me to get a response from them after submitted my request. Anita was one that helped us and she was super informative of all the dresses and ensured you felt comfortable. I would say when you initially walk into the place it doesn't give off the most fanciest high end boutique place like other bridal stores, but they offer a wise selection of dresses with amazing service. Only down side is they don't do any sample sales so all dresses here are full price with an exception on a slim selection of discounted MOH and MOB dresses read more

I went in on Saturday looking for my wedding dress and I wasn't sure if I needed to make an appointment just to look around. So as we walk into the store, me my maid of honor, and my mother were not greeted at all. My MOH goes up to the counter and asks if we need an appointment, a lady with red hair said if we wanted to try on dresses we needed an appointment. I said that's fine. Is it OK if we look around? While I didn't end up purchasing my dress there, I did schedule a fitting session, which they were able to accommodate the same day that I called (and with no session fee--something as rare these days as big-footed dodo birds!). We received a warm welcome upon arrival by all of the staff, some of whom had even recognized us from a previous unplanned fly-by visit to browse some of their collection. A special shoutout in particular to Audrey, who worked with us to find a vast selection of dresses to try on in a variety of styles, some of which we had asked for and some of which we had never really even considered. She demonstrated a keen sense of what we were looking for and took feedback really well whenever we had notes on what we liked or didn't like about a certain dress. She always came back with many more options (definitely an arm workout!) And was just so genuinely kind to boot. She even offered us a follow-up session the very next morning after our first visit since there were more things that she thought I could try and she figured she would have more time to pull them before the store opened the next day. Our final selections from this store were top contenders for "the dress" (we ultimately went with another style from another store, but it was such a hard choice) and I'm certain we would have been in great hands if we had decided to buy here! I had a wonderful experience with Maria while I was looking for my dress. I had a specific dress I was looking for after going three other spots in SF and Walnut Creek. I was hesitant to come here because of the reviews but I figure why not since I know the dress I want is here? I'm so glad I went!! I even almost changed my mind in dresses since I tried on other ones per Maria's recommendation :) I stuck to the original dress I wanted. I came here for two wedding dress appointments with Synthia in 2022 and ended up finding an amazing dress at a great price! She listened to what I was looking for and found me some great options in my price range. She ended up finding me a basically perfect-condition sample dress that was discounted and only a few sizes too big for me ($2,000 dress discounted to $1,200). She was knowledgeable about how much alterations may cost to get it to fit me, and she was spot on! I ended up taking my dress home the same day I bought it, and ordered some extra lace to create drop sleeves with. The only negatives: -the fitting/seating areas are a little weird. At my first appointment (Saturday AM) the fitting area we were in was right next to another, and people from the party next to us had to walk through our area to get to their try-on area. So we were interrupted by people walking through our area. During my second appointment, there were fewer people and we had a much quieter and more relaxing experience. -they did not have the best communication when my lace order was ready. It ended up being delayed by a few weeks, which was fine, but I had to be the one to reach out to them to find that out. I wish they would have called to tell me. At the end of the day though, I got an amazing dress for a great price and Synthia was so kind and helpful. read more

Really wish I remember who helped me, but I can't for the life of me. Bummer! Anywho, I had a great experience quite a few months ago looking for and FINDING my wedding dress. First, the staff member who was helping me definitely listened to my wants and desires for my wedding dress. I'm very non traditional and wanted a non traditional dress. You know, not white, not ivory, not big and over the top, etc. After searching and searching and trying on, she brought me a specific dress. Stated she would love to see me in it and asked if I would be willing to try it on, so i wa alike why not!i mean, what did i have to lose?. OMG.. I'm SOOOOOOO happy I did! IT WAS THE ONE! Long story short, a week before my wedding, I open up my dress from its ORIGINAL BAG hanging in an empty spare closet & my dress is YELLOW! Took it to the cleaners and he stated that it OXIDIZED!! I've had my dress since Oct and I picked up my dress from a referred alterations from elegant lace. There was nothing on it after my alterations and I have pictures to prove that this is false merchandise! The owner did nothing to accommodate this for me and stated that I should "pray" that it's not yellow on my wedding day after the cleaners! Also, she had the NERVE to tell me that I must have spilt something on it! Are you kidding me??? Save yourself the time and headache and look elsewhere! read more

Long story short, my dress was due to arrive a week before my wedding. I cancelled and called Suzana and ended up getting the very first dress I fell in love with. Suzana is a life saver. Elegant Lace has a lot of beautiful dress options and Bonita was very helpful in pulling dresses and very respectful of my budget. Be aware, though, that you don't have privacy when looking at your dresses while on the stand. You are out in the open and pretty much everyone can see you. At one point, they brought in another party and they were gathered around while I tried on dresses. None of the people in this photo are with me (I came alone). My youngest sister lives in NY, so I had very specific dates to try on dresses with my entire bridal party. Elegant Lace is the only place we went to so far that has bridesmaids and flower girl dresses. We found a couple of dresses that my bridesmaid, maid of honor and matron of honor liked. Susana helped me with my bridal fitting. I was given colored tags to mark the dresses I liked and I was then given a nice robe to slip into before trying on each dress. I tried on 5 dresses and then Susana brought out one dress that may be the one for me. I loved that she was attentive and listened to what I liked and disliked.
