It's not high end, most dresses are 200-400$. Lots of glued on sparkles and beads. That being said, it's a great spot for finding a prom or formal dress, even a wedding dress on a budget. This is not heirloom quality, think of it as fancy fast fashion, like a sparkly Forever 21. They have some plus size and more mature "mother of the bride" options. The quality of their products seem average at best, leaning toward "cheaply made". They'll survive a day's event, but don't count on some items lasting very long. This store has great variety of dresses as far as media/texture, style, and color. They were out of most tiny sizes and my daughter is an adult who is still size 00. Some may be available to order, but not all. I recommend this store for a few reasons. 1. Very reasonable- both dresses we liked were less than 500.00. 2. Huge store, very spacious so you can really take it all in. 3. No pressure from sales people 4. They have also formal clutches, shoes, and jewelry, so you could very well hit this place and be done. The reasons it's not my fave- Not enough dressing rooms, dressing rooms are super tiny and ugly, a major lack of comfortable seating, so unfortunately you may need to leave Grandma at home this time. You aren't offered much help, so bring someone tall and strong to help you carry around your heavy dresses. Unfortunately the mall that it's located in seems like absolute garbage. The establishment is always very clean, organized, and precisely color coordinated- super esthetically pleasing. This is the place for all of your fancy snazzy needs for any and ALL occasions.... but at a price. Be advised that the purchases here will set you back a pretty penny regardless of this dress shop being considered an outlet. There are dresses available in all shapes, sizes, and colors. Plus sizes are available but will be more limited. Cocktail dresses, full on gowns, and accessories are conveniently available under one roof. With that being said, customer service is pretty much nonexistent beyond the gal over in the dressing room. Don't come in expecting too much and speak up if you have any needs because employees won't be approaching you. 2 stars. My experiences here have unfortunately gone downhill and the high costs just aren't justified overall. I'd definitely come back but CLV wouldn't be my first choice to visit. read more

Went prom dressing shopping with my daughter here after going to Windsor first. Wow, all those who complained about lines and dressing rooms, you won't if you went to Windsor first! Yes there was a long line, but they have a zillion dressing rooms and were really nice. I liked that they didn't restrict the # of dresses you could take in and it was a much more pleasant experience with a nice three-way mirror and interior room you could come out and show your dress to your party without being in the middle of the store. The dresses are much more upscale than Windsor, and were priced like it. But if you look there are still some in the $100-range, plus they have an entire wall of 50% off dresses taking them down into that price range. They also had a lot of shoes, purses, and accessories. Minus 1-star because there was no one on the salesfloor offering to be helpful, and then there was only one person at the register which took a while. So there was not a lot in the way of customer service, I would expect more when buying $500 prom dresses. (Luckily we found one on sale so got a high quality dress for Windsor price) And there are no returns or exchanges, but they will hold items. read more

My daughter and I went in to see if we could find something special for prom, and we did. Emily was the most helpful and knowledgeable employee that I spoke to so I just wanted to hop onto Yelp and say, "thank you Emily!!" The selection and service was good, I would've probably said "great" except for the fact that another employee refused to help me find a smaller size for my daughter. She stood there in the dressing room and pleasantly suggested I do it myself and use my phone to check their inventory. As a small business owner, I find that to be poor customer service so I smiled and we simply helped ourselves for an hour until we met Emily...and she saved the day! We found something in my daughter's size, and because Emily took the time to make my daughter's experience better, she was so excited for prom and I couldn't be a happier Mama! We ended up buying a dress, a purse and accessories. So my advice is this...the selection is great and there are a lot of styles and colors, and it's helpful that the dresses are arranged by color, but be prepared for very little to no assistance on a busy day. If this is your first time bring a girlfriend or someone to help hold dresses for you and zip you up. Bringing your man isn't going to help because it's "ladies only" in there and the dressing rooms are small and there isn't anywhere for the guys to sit and wait so they all hang out by the entrance of the dressing room with their phones standing around. read more

Formerly known as Group USA, this store has a huge selection of prom, special occasion, bridesmaid, and bridal gowns. I only looked and tried on non-bridal gowns which ranged from $150-$300. I love that they organize the store by color because it helps you narrow down to what you are looking for. They have a lot of fitting rooms but I can see this place getting packed on the weekends (I was here on a Friday). The only downside is that they don't have a lot of sizes for one style but they do have a website so you can call the store to see if they got your size in. They get shipments about once or twice a week. They also carry classics, trendy items, and everything in between. Like most of these places, all sales are final. There was only 3 staff that I saw when I came in but again that was a weekday. They also sell shoes but recommend bringing a pair of heels for when you try on shoes. Closest parking is either outside the Dicks Sporting Goods or outside the Starbucks (across from Home Depot). read more

As a kid, I definitely dreamed of walking down the aisle in a fancy ballgown that mimicked Cinderella in all her splendor. I was certain with a dress like that, all the woodland animals would come at my beckoning and I would be the fairest of them all. I remember walking past Group USA as a child and dreaming of the day I'd get to pick out one of those gorgeous dresses as one of my own. But as I grew up and got a little older, I began to appreciate the simpler things in life, including my vision of what that trip down the aisle looks like. I dream of a summer wedding at city hall, and with that, I wanted a short flouncy white dress. If anyone has ever tried to look for a short wedding dress, most boutiques are absolutely lacking in this department. A bridal boutique near my home only had about 6 different styles that ended above the ankle, and none of the 6 screamed "YAAAAAAAAAAAAS". So a solution to this is to check out the prom dress selections during prom season. I walked past Group USA earlier today, and in the windows and the front of the store were at least 10 different white dresses, all of them were adorable, cute, and had strong candidacy to be THE DRESS. I grab a few in my size and walk to the fitting rooms. I'm met with a ridiculous line filled with a bunch of high school girls and their mothers shouting things back and forth about sizes, cut-outs, styles, colors...etc. I ask an attendant who walked past if there was a separate fitting room for wedding dresses. She abruptly says yes, but tells me while eyeing the dresses in my hands that I probably can't use it since those are prom dresses, but I should ask a consultant. So I go into the wedding dress section and ask for a consultant. The consultant comes fairly promptly afterwards, but disdainfully says I cannot use the fitting rooms in the wedding section since the dresses are from the prom section and it's prom season. I tell her, I understand that I got these dresses from the prom section, but that I am shopping for my wedding dress and would love to try these on with various accessories. She rudely responds and says no, sorry, it's prom season and she could bring accessories to me in the prom fitting room section, but I couldn't try them on in the wedding section. Policy, she says. Prom season, sorry. I put the dresses back on the hangers and left the store near tears. I'm sorry, but that was an atrocious experience. I understand that the dress is in theory marketed for prom, but I am there shopping for my wedding dress. The experience that we hope to receive for wedding dress shopping should not be any different just because I want a short wedding dress (which your store sells none of by the way). Why does it matter, a dress is a dress, a customer's intent should dictate the level of attention and service. This dress is probably one of the most significant dresses she will ever put on in her life. To find it, to try it on, to decide if that is THE DRESS, she shouldn't have to wait in line and look in the mirror in a cramped tiny fitting room stall amid the chaos of high schoolers and their mothers during prom season. And how long would I have to wait to have the accessories handed to me to try on from one section to another when there's a massive line in between the two. Not to mention that wedding dress shopping takes time, which means a fitting room stall that your business probably desperately needs for your flurry of business rather than being forever occupied by a disgruntled wedding dress shopper. Your attendants were rude and curt, I get it, it's prom season and it's probably crazy. But thanks to you and your team, the excitement of planning and wedding and shopping for the dress that I'll be wearing to say "I do" to the love of my life was definitely dampened and marred by this experience today. I know it makes little difference to you if I become a customer or not, you're going to sell dresses year after year anyway. But you absolutely need to change this prom season fitting room policy because I'd hate to think this is how you treat your customers regarding one of the more important milestones in their lives. So I'm giving five starts 90% of it is because of my bridal consultant, and the other 10% because I found my dress. When I first met Aliah we automatically clicked! She listened to what I wanted and even gave my great ideas that I loved. When I loved a dress and my entourage put it down she kept reminding me "it's your day" and made me feel so much confident of my choice. I tried on so many dresses, I tried on the last dress and automatically started crying and fell in love. That was my dress!!! I guess the main draw for Group USA is that they tend to have some "high end" looking dresses but at reasonable (read not cheap) prices. However, for the most part their store is very bland looking, the dressing rooms are dimly lit and their racks are a mess when you walk up close. Most of their dresses are destroyed in some way and you have to look very closely to see that the beads of one dress is all tangled up in the seams of another. The floor is pretty dusty like Veronica mentioned ... they really need to learn to sweep more often. For the most part I've come here almost every dance season to try to find a gorgeous dress ... and have always fallen short of finding just the perfect dress. Their dresses here seem to fit funny or not at all, and the employees aren't overly helpful to try to make a sale (I guess it's not commission based ...) After shopping around for my wedding dress, I ended up with getting my dress here, where I really didn't expect to get a dress from, especially after reading other Yelper's reviews. But the reason why I got my dress here is because I have a friend who can make wedding dress, and we bought it with the intention of taking it apart and re-make from scratch. My dress was sold at other bridal gown stores so they have some popular dresses in stock, but this one was much cheaper due to its size and some minor issues with the dress. Selection is fewer compared to other bridal gown store, and price is average. Sales rack is small but it is on the back left side and you may find some crazy good deals. The store is quite large and is filled with tons of dresses for weddings, brides and bridesmaids, flower girls, communion, prom dresses, mother of the Bride/Groom, formal dresses, even shoes to match and accessories. The selection cannot be beat with all the places I have gone. The only cons which I deducted one star for are: 1) can be expensive 2) if they do not have your size, you can order but have to pay fully and it is not refundable even if you cannot see how it fits. 3) no refunds so you better make sure it all fits perfectly! 4) if there are imperfections, you can ask for a discount( oh yes, I did!) and she gave me 20% off so 96.00 discount and it was still expensive!!! I actually found my second wedding dress here, yes I have two. The first one is way too big and fluffy so I decided to go to Group USA. The sales ladies were very helpful, I didn't have an appointment either. Long story short, I got the dress and it wasn't too expensive, It was under $400 and it was lace. My mom also got her dress here, she's happy with it. If you're looking for inexpensive gowns, I suggest going here. Just take a look first because there's a no return, no exchange policy. UPDATE: The seamstress is very unproffessional, I made appointments after I bought my dress. The appointment was changed and she can only do Saturdays, which is impossible for me. Located in the Great Mall- good to park in between the BevMo and Kohl's. I was so excited to go prom dress shopping for my senior prom especially because I didn't get to go junior year. They have really good prices for prom dresses considering the quality etc. I also went to Trudy's,Bloomingdales, Macy's etc. and group USA had the biggest selection (in my budget). The store is really neatly organized (by color) and the dressing rooms are fine. The staff were walking around ..and if you needed help they were there. Fortunately there was not many people in there when I went so it was easy to look around without feeling claustrophobic. If you're looking for a prom dress this is a really good place to go because of the wide selection of colors and styles. I would say most prom dresses here range from 150-300. read more

If you are looking for Mother of the Bride dresses, this is the place to go. Prior to finding Group USA, we had a difficult time finding dresses for my mom to wear to my wedding. They were either too expensive (over $300) or too revealing or tight for her taste. Group USA had a fabulous selection of dresses that fit into our budget and taste. My mom likes the 2-piece dress and they had so many beautiful colors and styles. Subsequently we also came here to get my 2nd dress for my wedding, as well as a dress for the Mother of the Groom (my mother-in-law). If you are looking for a store where an employee waits on you and brings you dresses, this is not the place for you. But if you like a place with lots of selection and they leave you to freely browse the racks and try on dresses at your leisure, this place is perfect. I did notice that for the prom and special event dresses, many of them were pretty abused---missing buttons, sequins, sewing, straps, etc. So if you're looking for one of those dresses, make sure you check all the seams and decorations before you purchase, since they do not give refunds. I got a great deal on my 2nd dress but it was missing many beads, which I had to get my alterations lady to sew back on. I would definitely recommend Group USA to all my friends, especially mothers of the bride and groom. It's a fun store to shop and try on dresses. It can get really busy on weekends and around prom season, so try to go during a weekday if possible. read more

With prom being about a month away, I decided to take a trip to Great Mall & take a look at this store (I live about 40 minutes away). The store had a nice selection, but the condition of the dresses were so poor. Every time I saw a dress I somewhat liked, the seams would be ripped off & the fabric was very poor. The material seems like it would shed very easily. I would be less disappointed if the prices were cheaper than other dress stores, like David's Bridal, but the dresses were quite expensive. $200-$300 for dresses that are most likely a one-time wear. The employees were also not very friendly. No one helping on the floor and the woman working the dressing rooms seemed like she did not want to be there. Not a great experience. read more
