Throughout the past week or so I've called multiple times, left multiple messages - no callback or response from the office. As a result, my money and time is wasted by purchasing with True Beauty Wellness Spa. Management - If customers have already given your buisness their money, the least you can do is call them back so that they can redeem the service they paid for. Taking money then neglecting to schedule appointments with customers is a questionable business practice that reflects untrustworthy ethics, even if it's not intentional. read more

I booked a Swedish massage with Cecilia. This is by far the best massage I've gotten. From the moment I got here, she was so calm and sweet. She is great at explaining the process and what I needed to do. The room is decorated beautifully, it smelled wonderful, and everything was so clean. I loved how she played relaxing music to set the mood. While she massaged, she incorporated some stretches that felt great! I originally booked with Ursula Ann for a groupon hydrafacial and microdermabrasion (honestly she gives great deals without the groupon but it was my first time and I was going on a whim). Since then I've come back for two more facials (dedicated to my acne/hormonal skin) AND got a great bundle price on a skincare line dedicated to sensitive and acne prone skin! The skincare sample alone hooked me, which after my first facial I got to test a scrub, moisturizer and cleanser. She really listens to your concerns then tailors the facial to you. I knew I was in good hands the moment I saw her skin! Side note: park in the back for .50cent/hr metered parking instead of the busy street. I was so excited to get a hydra facial after a long time and booked an appointment with Ursula just before the long memorial weekend. I wanted to have a dewy skin complexion for the weekend. I was in for a surprise , because it would be a total nightmare for the next days to come. It's been a week and still Recovering . My skin was sooo hot and red for The Weeknd . Whatever I got put on, burned my skin and made it soo dry!!!!! I couldn't leave my home and canceled all my plans . I had to stay away from the sun and outdoor activities, which was so sad. I haven't had a facial since FOREVER! As a result, I went looking on Groupon for a great deal for one in the Long Beach area. As a result , that is how I found out about True Beauty Wellness Spa. Other than that, I've never heard about a "hydrafacial," so I thought "Why not?" First off, requesting an appointment through Yelp was easy! I work until 12:48; therefore, they were able to take me at 4pm. It was actually kind of easy to find the place; however, being my first time here, you really have to look closely because outside reminds me of an apartment building! Ursula was AWESOME! She took care of me 100%! I told her I had cancer and I was having breakout issues because I do chemo. I also told her I never had a hydrafacial before and she explained it all to me while working on me, which I felt soooooo relaxed! She took care of me like I was a family member of hers! I've been to many places that supposedly do facials; however, this place (and Ursula) made it feel like you are the only person there and you are the #1 person who should be taken care of at the moment! I enjoyed my time there so much, I already booked my second visit!! I love that it's soooo close to my work! This review is for Ursula. I was subscribed to True Beauty Wellness Spa's email list for their wonderful monthly specials. Last month, I booked an enzyme peel special with Ursula. Ursula was very welcoming and I felt very comfortable right off the bat. She asks great questions to ensure that the treatment received is aligned with your ultimately beauty goals. I've recently experienced weekly break-outs due to the stresses of a new job. The break-outs have left me with dark spots that make me really insecure when I don't wear concealer/bb cream. Ursula has been very involved and educated me on different ways to tackle my issues. She is also available via texts. I appreciate that she texts me post treatment to ensure that I've reacted okay. I can always text her with pictures and questions too, which I really appreciate! I've seen her twice now and am planning to see her again in two weeks. I am already seeing progress! I went for a chemical peel with microdermabrasion today and i was very impressed.. jackie was really nice i felt like i was talking to an old friend. she was very professional and did an amazing job.. she explained everything and gave me good advice, she also recommended treatments based off of the issues i told her about my skin without trying to sell me the most expensive one (though it was an option). I wasn't sure about the chemical peel at first coz i've never done it before so she suggested -or i suggested n she agreed- trying a small area n see how i feel or switch to a different treatment if i wasn't comfortable.. she went very easy on me and I felt good n relaxed so i went on with it. Honestly this was one of the best customer service experience i've ever had and i left a very happy customer. Definitely going back! I have been coming to Jackie at True Beauty for many years (since her first place on 7th St) and love her! She is extremely knowledgeable, kind, funny and sweet, and most importantly my skin has really improved under her care. I trust her judgment...she is very thorough, caring and honest. The PCA series of peels she recommended prior to my wedding day gave me fantastic results. I received so many compliments, even weeks later. I am saddened by some of these reviews which reflect misunderstandings rather than quality of care. A complete disappointment! I bought a groupon and booked a week out. I paid for parking and child care and when I arrived the door was locked. I assumed busy with another client so I texted I was outside. After no response I called phone numbers from emails and website only gettinvoicemail. I waited an additional 30mins and called again, Ursula said she sent a message to cancel since morning. I have no record of such attempt. Bottom line she was a no show! I purchased a groupon for a facial, called and made an appointment for a Tuesday at 530 since they didn't have availability on weekends. When I showed up the door was locked and no one answered the phone. I waited for about 45 min with still no answer. A person in the same building polity informed me this wasnt the first time this had happened to people. I left a voicemail that day and have tried calling back and leaving other messages with no returned call. It has been over a week and still nothing. This is extremely poor customer service and all around bad business! Not only have they wasted my time and money but they dont have the decency to even call you back. I booked an appointment with her for 6pm on a Thursday. At 5pm on Thursday I Googled her shop for directions and it said she closed at 5 pm so I called her. She did not answer or return my call. At about 11pm she text me saying that her massuese had waited for me. I had purchased a living social 2 visit spa package and pre scheduled both appointments. I arrived for the first appointment 15 minutes early. I was informed that I was not on the appointment calendar. I provided my vouchers and she looked up my information. Yes, I was in their system but somehow I was not on the calendar. She did try and offer me an appointment an hour later. Unfortunately I had other plans for later. So I cancelled my living social vouchers. There are so many spa's in Long Beach that are easier to get to and find parking than this one in Belmont Shores on the busy congested 2nd Street anyhow. I was first introduced to True Beauty Wellness almost 2 years ago (at their previous location) through a living social deal. They have really great and reasonably priced packages through living social and also through their Facebook page. The new location on 2nd street is very easy to access and parking is easy to find. The new location still offers a warm and inviting ambiance which makes you feel relaxed and pampered before your experience even begins. Originally I began going to True Beauty for massages with Stacy and then she introduced me to PCA skin peels. Stacy is very professional and knowledgeable as a massage therapist and esthetician. I have a lot of back pain due to stress and work; Stacy always finds my trouble spots and works those areas very well while still continuing a smooth flow to the rest of my body. The whole experience is very relaxing and comfortable. I really love the sound of the fountains and relaxing music playing in the background. As for my skin, I am very prone to breakouts and oiliness. Before True Beauty and Stacy, I didn't know the true benefits of a facial / peel. I began getting regular PCA skin peels with Stacy and I began to notice a big improvement in the texture of my skin. My scars began to fade and my skin was smoother. I do not get as many breakouts as before either. Stacy always explained the steps during the process, and helped me to understand my skin better. I came here today with a LivingSocial deal that had expired (but it still had monetary value, so essentially a $39 credit). The boutique is actually in an old apartment, but they did an awesome job of retaining the homey feel while creating a spa ambience. I loved the decor and instantly felt at home. My esthetician was Lauren and she was very friendly and efficient. She was not overly chatty during the massage, applied the perfect amount of pressure, and left me feeling more relaxed than I have in a long time. I asked her questions here and there about tense areas and trouble spots, she she never hesitated with an answer. It was one of the best massage experiences ever. My friend's esthetician was Stacey and my friend loved her massage as well! We enjoyed wine and chocolate after the massage (good wine and quality dark chocolate) and I will fully admit.. Upon entering I was warmly greeted by the receptionist and offered a drink. The spa was tidy, SO clean (which is very important to me), and smelled great! I had Mary as my masseuse, who was fantastic! She asked me about my neck pain (which is what I was in for) and said she would focus on that area. She also took out a bunch of knots from my back which left me feeling amazing!!!
