Today, I had Lyn and her crew come clean my apartment for a move-out. It was cleaned so well that our landlord, who came in an hour after the True Blue Maids had left, wrote us a check for the full deposit. I am simply amazed by how much they did and how they didn't miss a single detail, cleaning everything from the cabinets to the roof of the microwave! I would NOT recommend these people. They are very full of themselves and say that they deep clean and do nothing of the sort. I agree with the reviewers stating that they only tidy up. And again....don't let the sweet voice fool you. Several times they "forgot" to wash the sink, bathtubs, counter tops. Upon giving them feedback of what they forgot to do, they became very defensive and blamed us. They often skipped washing floors, blinds and dusting. I keep my house neat and picked up and only need someone to do the deeper cleaning, which they promised they would do, such as blinds, baseboards, cupboards, bleaching bathrooms, ect... I agreed to pay Lynnette and her husband $50 more than any other maids or services I used previously because she said I would need that for the deep cleaning, for which I agreed. The chain services that were $50 cheaper did a far superior job. It is outrageous to pay $150 for 1000 square feet in an already tidy house when they come for only 1 hour. They would claim to come for several hours, but we timed them while at neighbors and found they would stay for 45min-1 hour, so it was an outright lie. I commend them for doing a good job on the first and second visit, then afterward they slacked and thought they can just come less and do less each visit! I know my requests for a clean home is not unrealistic, as I now have the best maid service ever and costs $50 less a week! The first time this service came to do an estimate was the same day Lynette and her husband finished "cleaning" my apartment. She laughed at the way it was left and told me since the house has NOT been deep cleaned in 2 months (since hiring Lynette) she would have to charge me more for the first time to deep clean it, and keep it up. When this service came they worked for 6 hours with 2 people to get it cleaned! Need I say more? read more

Don't be fooled by how nicely they speak on the phone. They may not really want you as clients after all. In all fairness, they didn't clean my house. We never got that far. But I had an appointment that was a very firm time, and they showed up early. Usually that's a good thing. But I was in running around to Lowe's etc., in the midst of shopping for the remodel of a rental unit and wasn't home until just before the prescribed time. I had agreed to pay around $225 for my 1 bathroom, 2 bedroom 900 sq. ft. house to be cleaned. My house was in partial disarray and with an inch of dust because of some work that had been done. I disclosed this to them when initially calling. When I got home, there were cards on my door, "sorry we missed you." Nice enough that they left those. But I immediately called them to see what their story was and if I could get them back and I got a voice mail. And then I called again later only to get a voice mail again. I had left a message that I was home at the agreed time and that I still wanted the service. Well, more than a day later they did not even have the COURTESY to return my phone call. I don't care if they decided that they didn't want to clean my house. But if only they had been professional enough to return my call, I wouldn't be writing this bad review of them. It really irks me, especially when they represent themselves the way they do on their website: "WE WANT YOUR BUSINESS". Well, apparently not really. read more

I didn't have a problem with TBM, I found the staff very friendly and Lynette very helpful, until I approached her about the fact that her maids damaged a fairly new rug in my house. The vacuum chewed up the entire corner of the rug to the point where it can't be repaired. When I brought this to Lynette's attention, she said that her insurance (which she boasts about on all their advertisement) actually ONLY covers repairs! So not only did she insist that I still pay her the full amount I owed her, but she was very rude and unprofessional on the phone (when I refused to waste anymore time on the matter by letting her come and take pictures for an insurance claim that only covers repairs for an irreparable rug). Must have caught her on a bad day, but there's never an excuse to treat a customer poorly. So try TBM if you like maids who clean around things and you're okay with insurance coverage that will only pay for repairs on the items they break. Beware!!! Marie J.H.O. read more

After four or five cleanings from the team at True Blue Maids, I can safely say we've found our cleaners. We've arranged for once-every-four-weeks service (would love bi-weekly, but that's not in our budget at the moment), and the two-person crew arrives either on-time or a bit early, and immediately sets to work. And they work for the whole time they're here! I cannot say enough good things about these cleaners. They are attentive, industrious, and extremely hard-working. I explain the "these are urgent" things that we need doing, and those are always completed (we live in an old house, with lovely issues like lots of spiders who love to spin webs and such). And they clean things that I'd not noticed were an issue...until I realize they're clean! They're not put off by the fact that we have several companion animals which shed copious amounts of fur (cats and house rabbits), either, which means additional work for them. I have been very impressed with each person Lynette has sent out. Each has been a joy to talk with, and they've all been extremely focused on their work. At the end of the visit, I'm always asked if there's anything else I'd like to have done before they leave. Pricing is more than fair (and in line with what the "big" companies charge), but with True Blue Maids, I know I'm supporting a local business that treats their employees right. We've had other services in the past, but have been unhappy with the level of "cleaning" they've done, the fact that they often just rushed through, and with their customer service, or lack thereof. Not only does Lynette put customer satisfaction at the forefront, she uses safe cleaning products (important because of the animals), and she employes wonderful people. Highly recommended! read more

Hi everyone! True Blue Maids of Pasadena gave me a flat rate quote for our house that beat all competitors. I'm due our second baby sometime in the next two weeks, and so it was really important to me that they do a great job, and that they use eco-friendly products. The owner, Lynette, gave me the quote over the phone, and was very professional and friendly. The three cleaners turned up early, were done in under two hours and did a full walk-through with me. My house has never looked so good, smelled so clean, and the attention to detail was astonishing. Most importantly, my daughter's toys were all wiped down, and the house was completely sanitized - something that really set my mind at ease when bringing a newborn home! They used vinegar, Mrs. Meyers, some Method (for the tougher stuff) and just good ol' fashioned elbow grease. They even cleaned out my oven for me! It's a family-owned and operated business, and they were just a joy to deal with. I'm no paid spokesperson, just a very happy customer who had to share the wealth. Didn't do a thorough job for a move-out deep cleaning for a 900 sq ft 2 bedroom condo. 3 maids for 2 hrs and the condo was completely vacant and they still couldn't get the job done. They were slow and their work was mediocre. Then they locked my bathroom from the inside. Had to wait for owners to pick the lock and reopen my bathroom which took another hour!! Incompetent and inconvenient! Not sure how they became Pasadena's Best, not worth the money! read more

We've used True Blue Maids twice now and have actually signed on for continued service. They are awesome! I love the way my apt smells and feels after they've cleaned it. I feel like I can lay down and sleep on my hardwood floors! They are professional, courteous, efficient and quick! But dont let their quickness fool you- they really get the place nice and clean. I work 40+ hours a week and hubs is working on 4 projects at a time, not to mention shuttling 4 kids to classes, events, appointments- we used to clean in between work or when kids are at school or asleep but we'd be exhausted. True Blue frees up our time and we only have to do minimal cleaning in between and more importantly, since I know they do a great job cleaning I'm not inwardly freaking out that germs and bacteria are creeping towards my kids. My first impression when I called to make the appointment, was that they were very professional and highly informed about the services they could provide. Lynette was very courteous and professional over the phone when I scheduled and answered all my questions fully and respectfully. Whether cleaning for a party where they help you "stage" your bathroom with perfectly folded towels and arranged soaps and lotions or when they are deep cleaning so that even the tops of the window sills are dust free, True Blue does a great job. I've been a customer of True Blue Maids for over 4 years. My first cleaning was back when it was mainly Lynette and her husband completing most of the jobs. I had never had a third party cleaning service before and was very concerned about allowing a stranger access to my home unsupervised (as I worked full-time, I would rarely be home during the services). Lynette was not only extremely courteous but she was respectful and thorough in the cleaning. As the company grew and additional employees were hired, I had some initial concerns about the new people in my residence. However, Lynette has proven to be an excellent manager and hired trustworthy staff. I have never had an incident in broken items and or any issue with my pets. I highly recommend True Blue Maids.
