I have had many cleaning crews in the past, this was worst job ever!!!! My understanding was that if they needed more time than the two hours I paid them in advance, they would extend the time. They finished in two hours without cleaning the kitchen, finishing the bedrooms, things were still dusty and the floors were not swept or mopped. In other words I now need to clean my house!!!! The worst job ever, not recommended if you want your house cleaned. As for Lynn, did not even bother to call me to consult after they left my home. They did not offer to extend the time and just told me they have another house to clean....... read more

This was the second time we have used True Blue Maids and it sure didn't disappoint! The first time was when we moved out of our condo and we had them do a deep clean in the empty unit. They did an excellent job. This time around, we wanted to have our townhouse deep cleaned in preparation for our new baby. Once our 2 maids arrived, they immediately said that Lyn had told them that we are expecting a baby and that they will use non-toxic cleaning products which I greatly appreciated. They finished in about 3 hours for a little under 1500 sq ft (2 bedrooms, 2.5 baths). I'm obsessed!!! I don't think this house has ever been this clean. LOL. They cleaned all the blinds, inside the refrigerator and the best part was that it didn't smell chemically at all afterwards. The deep cleaning service is expensive but I think it's totally worth it. When they were finished, they mentioned that they do offer a regular cleaning service that isn't as expensive as the deep clean and I just may have to take them up on that especially when we'll have our hands full with the new little one! Don't be fooled by how nicely they speak on the phone. They may not really want you as clients after all. In all fairness, they didn't clean my house. We never got that far. But I had an appointment that was a very firm time, and they showed up early. Usually that's a good thing. But I was in running around to Lowe's etc., in the midst of shopping for the remodel of a rental unit and wasn't home until just before the prescribed time. I had agreed to pay around $225 for my 1 bathroom, 2 bedroom 900 sq. ft. house to be cleaned. My house was in partial disarray and with an inch of dust because of some work that had been done. I disclosed this to them when initially calling. When I got home, there were cards on my door, "sorry we missed you." Nice enough that they left those. But I immediately called them to see what their story was and if I could get them back and I got a voice mail. And then I called again later only to get a voice mail again. I had left a message that I was home at the agreed time and that I still wanted the service. Well, more than a day later they did not even have the COURTESY to return my phone call. I don't care if they decided that they didn't want to clean my house. But if only they had been professional enough to return my call, I wouldn't be writing this bad review of them. It really irks me, especially when they represent themselves the way they do on their website: "WE WANT YOUR BUSINESS". Well, apparently not really. read more

I let you in every time you came (in addition to the husband and wife, you sometimes bought a younger girl with you...) Thanks for checking your records for so long though, I suppose. Really, with the time it takes to do that, you can call back your clients after they call you for DAYS trying to reschedule or simply let you know that there is a new key location. Though, when we finally spoke, you stated that you were getting very busy with the amount of clients you now have (perhaps too busy?) Truly, all I wanted was a clean house and returned phone calls. I have that with company we've now hired. I wish you luck but just wanted to let others know my experience - I have found another licensed / insured cleaning place that REALLY CLEANS for cheaper, returns calls and doesn't make excuses. I've tried True Blue Maids since I live so darn close to their office. I gave them a call and I believe Lynette was the one I corresponded with. She was extremely helpful and thorough in going over exactly how much it was and what it entailed. We had to have the cleaning scheduled for when my husband and I weren't home and I thought I'd trust them inside the house without supervision. I let them know we had a really friendly dog and that he shouldn't be a problem when they come into the house. They texted me to let me know when they arrived. For the 2 hours we paid, we had a 3 person crew. They took pictures of the dog letting me know he was safe and they also texted me again to let me know they had left. Talk about customer service! I was really impressed with the way the communication was handled. When my husband and I got home, our house was spic and span. The showers were absolutely sparkling, the floors were clean and I even put my finger under the shelf of our coffee table and no dust found! Even though we weren't home to supervise, the work they did was so detail oriented that I couldn't have asked for better service. I let them know what a great job they did and told myself I would be a repeat customer. Now only, if their prices were a tad cheaper... But if you're looking for a honest and reliable crew who works hard to get your house clean the way you want, I say pay the premium and go with True Blue Maids. read more

I hired true blue maids to do a moving out cleaning of our house we had rented. They were a pleasure to work with from the first phone call. My questions about services, prices and the like were quickly and honestly answered. I mentioned that I wanted to think about it, and had a suggestion to call around and compare prices. I did that, and true blue maids was definitely comparable; but due to their honesty and confidence, I hired them. A few days before cleaning, they called to confirm, and sent a text message. The day of cleaning, they arrived on time, and worked diligently to clean our disgusting (after two years of living there with a baby who became a toddler, and two dogs!) house. After moving all of our furniture...it was gross! I had left a list of the things I wanted focused on, in order. They got to all but the very last item on the list in just two hours! When I did a final inspection, the house was unbelievable. It was SO clean! I would venture to guess cleaner than it was when we moved in. Update: About 8 hours later, I am still trying to figure out how our cleaning crew managed to do everything they did in (under!) 2 hours. My mind is blown. A True Blue crew came to deep clean my nasty old kitchen right after we moved in. The oven definitely got scoured and scrubbed but I was unimpressed with the thoroughness of the rest of the cleaning that was done, especially in the creepy kitchen. I left my thoughts here on Yelp and the owner of the company, Lyn, emailed me to set up a free cleaning. She said she wanted me to be happy with their service. That says a lot about a company when the owner stands by their product! I had to reschedule last minute and Lyn was very sweet and accommodating. Lydia and another lady came for a re-clean today. As soon as they got to my house they started quickly scrubbing things. I left for a little while and when I came back it was like a different house. They made our just-moved-in messes neat somehow, and picked things up to clean underneath them. I have a feeling this is the cleanest this house has ever been since it was built in 1960. These ladies were thorough and detailed, and even made our beds! What!? I'm not sure what happened the first time. Maybe the oven was just so gross that it took the whole two hours to deep clean it so the crew ran out of time. I have been a customer of True Blue Maids for over a year now and have been more than satisfied with the service they provide. They are a family run business so you always know who will be cleaning your house. I have a newborn, toddler and 3 dogs so my house gets messy very quick. They always do a good job cleaning my house and they do it quickly. Their eco friendly cleaners are a plus! Most of all, they are very careful with our dogs and make sure they do not get out of the house. I have been on maternity leave with my newborn so I have been home for the last few months when they come to clean. While they are here, they are always very respectful and let me know before they start vacuuming so they don't wake the baby. They are polite, quick, and do a good job all the time. In the past 2 years, our service has gone up about 25%-30% in cost. Allegedly due to "raise in minimum wage" in Pasadena (we don't live in pasadena....). (actually, price went up twice over the course of half a year). Quality is ok - when someone is home watching and making suggestions. Otherwise, it is meh. Our cost is now at about $200/2 hours, with two maids, which means about $50/hr per maid. And stuff still gets missed. Example, on last visit, the (clean) dishwasher was not emptied. The bed was not fully made (I washed/dried the sheets before they came). So, as the price has gone up and the quality has flattened or worsened, I think that this service is now overpriced for what we are getting. They are aggressive about soliciting accolades for the pasadena weekly awards. read more

This is a family owned business and boy do they do it right! Lyn (the mom) is an incredible woman. She is so cheerful and friendly! She answers the phone and schedules you promptly. Ryan and Bella are their two daughters and work for the company as well. Everyone is trained in all aspects of the business. I have personally met Lyn and her husband as they have come to clean our home. Salt of the earth! All of the true blue girls are incredibly professional, kind, and super efficient. They all go above and beyond! We are on a bi-weekly schedule and our home looks amazing after their visit. My 5 year old daughter has gotten to know everyone as we are loyal customers of 5 years! Sandra and Haydee did a wonderful job on a move-out clean for us. They were prompt, positive, energetic, and beyond pleasant to work with. Scheduling was easy through Lynn, the company owner. I was grateful that she was able to provide an accurate estimate of the amount of time that it would take to clean my house. Sandra and Haydee brought all the necessary cleaning products and cloths, etc. but were also willing to us a stronger product that I provided to take care of a stubborn shower stall. I'm still in awe in how much was done in just two hours. No only did I get all the information I needed in terms of pricing, etc but the actual job was done extremely well. Two ladies came in and did a wonderful job. I have two full bathrooms and they left them spotless. All my hardwood floors were cleaned and my kitchen has never been this cleaned. It was getting close to the two-hour mark and I wasn't sure if they were going to finish with the living room, but they DID. Great service! Reliable and fast. We have our home cleaned every 2 weeks. Lyn, the owner, responds to messages quickly and takes note of any feedback I have about the service. The few grievances I had were addressed and did not repeat. Our home is ~1500 sq. feet and two people usually finish cleaning in 2 hours or less. Our dark, hardwood floors always look great and everything is well dusted and vacuumed, too - no small feat, considering we have a dog that sheds a LOT! Aside from general surface cleaning, dusting, mopping and vacuuming, they clean our gas stove (a huge help since I cook every day), make the bed, fold any towels, blankets or dish cloths that are out, take out the trash and tidy up surfaces. Second, I live in an nontraditional space on an equine facility that has a lot of animals that come in and out of the house. This makes a crazy combo of dirt, hair, fur and dust. We used True Blue for our move out clean. While we are fairly neat people, there was plenty of work left to be done after the movers left. They called and confirmed the day before which was appreciated. They were prompt, arriving a couple of minutes early. Two people showed up as agreed. They were done in 2 hours except for photos (they took photos of the cleaning as proof for our landlord) and they did not charge extra for that time. The house was neat and tidy except some very minor dusting that my husband pointed out and they immediately fixed. I'm a little surprised by some of these negative reviews. We've been using True Blue maids for about 8 or 9 months now and are perfectly happy with them. Our house is small, only 1500 sq. ft, but with a toddler and 3 dogs, the messes pile up and we have no energy or desire to spend our limited free time cleaning the house. That being said, we are relatively clean people and don't need a "deep clean" all the time. Lynette and her husband are polite, friendly and work fast. And I feel better knowing that they are busy and have many clients. That means they do a good job! More importantly- they are very trustworthy people. I don't have to worry about them accidentally setting the dogs loose on the mean streets of LA, and I can trust them in my house when nobody is home. I can't say the same for many of the budget maid services out there. On a few occasions they've left the dogs in the dark, or left behind some supplies, or even forgot to come by once due to a scheduling error. BUT, a simple email or note left and they quickly corrected course. What more can you ask? Sure, I'd like to have my windows cleaned. I'd like to have the dogs area cleaned better, despite the fact that it will be dirty 5 minutes after they leave. But I also know that I could simply ask them to do that one time and they'd work with me to make it happen. Lynette truly wants to make you happy and keep your business. They clean more in one furious hour than I could in 4 hours of my precious Saturdays, and for that I'm incredibly grateful for their service. read more

I find that they really go above and beyond to earn and keep your business. The first couple appointments I left them with a list of all the things I wanted done. Now I don't even need to leave a list for them, they know exactly what to do. My place is small 800sq feet, in their most recent trip I was happy to see their attention to detail. In addition to a thorough cleaning, they refolded my towels and placed them nicely upon the rack, made my bed and fluffed my pillows. Their customer service was spectacular and we were left feeling like we made the best choice of whom to invite into our home. I left her a message and heard from her right away. She was straightforward and honest, and I was able to communicate with her my needs.
