    Seasonal Corn Soup
    Joseph G.

Went here for a solo lunch. Clean quick bite, had the edamame dumplings, seasonal corn soup (nice kick to it) , and the arctic salmon. Always a good meal. Alexandra my waitress was pleasant and very attentive. Highly recommend for good sourced and intentional meals. Place is never loud and had time for a quick read. Will return.

I've been wanting to visit True Food Kitchen for a while now. The healthier food options were an automatic draw, as I've been purposely eating cleaner this year. During my visit, I appreciated that they had numerous options to choose from. To start, my friend & I shared the Mediterranean Hummus appetizer. I really did enjoy the overall flavors. The texture was pleasant and it had a bold taste. If I could change anything, it would be to use naan bread instead of the baked flatbread (just my own preference). For the main course, I ordered the Ancient Grain Bowl with Shrimp, and it was really good. I did find that some of the snap peas were tougher to chew than others, but every ingredient plated was fresh. The sweet potato, mushrooms, avocado, and pistachio pesto, really tied the dish together. My drink, "Bright Eyes" was much better than I expected. The predominant flavors were the Beets and Lemon that gave it an earthy taste that I didn't mind. We were too full to order dessert, but perhaps next time. I would happily return to try more menu items, as the staff were efficient and the space was comfortable.

Offers any healthy options. The squash soup is typically full & rich, however today it was watery and lacked flavor. I always opt for a kale salad as my side. The chicken tenders was good. The turkey burger is mid. My sister enjoyed her gas fed beef burger. This is usually my go to place for healthy eats. The service was really slow. My server looked very overwhelmed and distracted. The ambiance is casual.

True Food Kitchen is a big open space, very clean establishment. I was promptly sat and a server approached my table in a timely manner. I started with a cup of the butternut squash soup and a pomegranate spritzer. The soup was the perfect temperature and sooo delicious, I'd only recommend they leave out the crispy sage on top, super bitter and unpleasant chewing into straight sage leaves. The spritzer was bubbly and refreshing. My son had a kids cheese pizza, which was fresh and super cheesy, he ate half of it, which is always a good sign! I dined on the steak frites, ordered medium. The steak was perfectly cooked, and the side salad it came with was nice. I had to deduct a star for the fries. Man, they were AWFUL. They were small bits and pieces and were hard and dry, they tasted as if they had been re fried and thrown on the plate. I didn't eat any more of those. All in all the experience was great and I'll definitely be back to try some other menu options. They also have some nice vegetarian options.

One of my favorite restaurants at Roosevelt Field Mall. I love the bright and inviting decor. The staff is always so friendly and great. I just went for their trio lunch menu. I went with the Grilled Chicken Ranch Wrap and 1/2 Seasonal Market Salad and the chocolate chip cookie. All delicious! Especially the cookie. Yum.

The food is delicious. Healthy ficus without the taste sacrifice is so rare. Bev did a great job as our server. The inside looks upscale and comfy. The cheesy mashed potatoes are bomb. The hummus is way better than what you'd get at a grocery store and the variety is great. Even the cocktails are good. I'd skip the juices unless you're looking for a healthy alternative and can't drink water as an adult. Parking is rough and you definitely will need to adjust to not feeling "full" because the ingredients are cleaner.

Something changed. You don't feel genuinely welcomed right when you enter. Salad has been soggy the last couple of times. Food is salty; waitstaff and managers not as attentive and hanging at the bar looking at their phones. Food not prepared with love like before. No idea what happened. We used to be regulars. Recently we haven't enjoyed our last several visits. Disappointed to say the least.

Restaurant is located at the outside of the Roosevelt Field Mall, it has a lot of seating and wonderful decor all over the restaurant. They had explained how their menu worked and if I needed anything in particular, I can just ask. Bright Eyes ($9.75)- Pineapple, carrot, organic apple, ginger, turmeric, beet, and lemon. It had a nice kick from the ginger and expected it to be sweeter than it was. Edamame Dumplings ($14.95)- White truffle oil, dashi, thai basil. This had a nice amount of truffle flavor with a similar texture to grits. Without the dashi-based broth it would be too bland. Butternut Squash Pizza ($17.95)- Organic butternut squash, lemon almond ricotta, caramelized onion, organic kale and raisins. What a interesting combinations of ingredients that made it feel like more of a dessert pizza than a savory one. There was a generous with the amount of toppings but the dough itself could have been in the oven a little more Ancient Grains Bowl with added Chicken Tenders (18.35+$7.50)- Miso sesame glazed sweet potato, charred onions, snap peas, portobello, avocado, organic grains, pistachio pesto, hemp seeds and turmeric. This bowl was very filling since it had a lot of vegetables and grains, the taste was not my favorite because I felt like the sweet potatoes were a little too salty even when mixed together with the other ingredients. Chicken itself was a little dry but that is usually to be expected when using chicken breasts. Overall I thought the food itself was average and the some of the items was on the more expensive side but the service from Maggie and the staff were accommodating. She even said if the drink was not to my liking I can exchange it for another one. Visited 3/5/2025 Food- 6/10 Cleanliness- 9/10 Staff- 10/10

Went for lunch to TFK aware of the kind of food they serve, however I had hope I would like it and it could be one of my regular eateries and be part of the rotation. One must have a taste for vegan food/taste and I don't have it but the menu and the my order I know they are true to their name. The restaurant is big and bright. The food made to order and the staff nice. If organic/vegetarian/vegan cuisine is your favorite I definitely recommend True Food Kitchen.

First time here - came for breakfast with my husband and 3 yr old. Beautiful clean and happy lighting, very spacious which is great when you have a million bags for your toddler. Most importantly the food was delicious and really nicely priced (way cheaper than my own neighborhood so I wish something like this was in Forest Hills). For all 3 of us (and my son got a kids pancake entree also), plus my husband and I got coffee, it was $52 incl tip and tax. In my own neighborhood this is sadly impossible, and with not as good brunch too. So I'm a bit envious! I got the Farmer's Hash which had all yummy veggies, steak, avocado, and perfectly fried sunny side up eggs. Coffee was nice and big too. Bathrooms clean and well lit. Friendly service! We will 100% be back and would love to try for lunch / dinner!

Buffalo chicken sandwich with kale salad ... 3.7/5

Food was pretty tasty. Ordered the grass fed burger and the buffalo chicken sandwich. I'd say the chicken sandwich cost too much to be air fried but that's just me lol. The drinks were tasty as well. Service was pretty good, waiter was attentive. Ambiance was cool for a restaurant in the mall.

This was our server's way of clearing our table. Sigh

My husband & I decided to try this restaurant today for lunch because we loved all of the healthy options. We were pleasantly surprised at how easy it was for us to get a table on a Saturday afternoon, but we'd soon learn why. As others have shared, the restaurant decor is lovely, and the food is delicious. Unfortunately, the drinks are underwhelming, and the service is sub par. We were seated immediately, but waited for some time to be greeted. Our server took our drink & appetizer orders and then went on her merry way. She didn't stop to check & see if we needed anything or clear our plates. I had to stop and ask her if anyone was going to clear our appetizer plates before the entrees arrived, and she grabbed the plates and placed them on the empty high top table beside us until some other waiter happened to walk by and grab them. I have no idea why she didn't just take them and place them in the back for cleaning. Almost immediately after our plates were clear another young lady brought out of entrees. I have the lasagna and my husband had the grilled salmon. Both were delicious. Once again, our server did not stop by to check and make sure that our orders We're 2-hour liking or inquire as to whether we needed anything. She just busy herself with other customers - mind you, the place was practically empty. I counted about 8 tables of two to four customers at that time, and there were at least two other servers actively interacting with their customers. After we cleaned our plates, we sat and watched our server do everything but come to our table. I noticed the manager sitting nearby and asked to speak with him. After sharing our concerns, the manager apologize and offered bus desserts at no charge. We appreciated it, but it didn't change the quality of our experience or lack thereof. While waiting for our dessert, which took so long we thought they had to bake them from scratch, a young lady walked in to place a to-go order from the bar. After standing for a while without being acknowledged, she about faced, shrugged her shoulders and walked out. I'd love to see this restaurant chain thrive, but we won't be returning or recommending it to anyone we know. I waited tables while in undergrad, so I understand the nature of the business. This team may a refresher training on providing quality service. If you're going to try them, I'd recommend using placing an online order to be delivered to your home.

My first time here and it was a pleasant experience. They are located by the Roosevelt Field Mall. They have a separate entrance but it's part of the mall. There's parking obviously but it's busy in general here especially during "rush hours". The separate entrance allows you to not even enter the mall if you're not planning on it. Plenty of seating here and the menu is healthy and they don't have anything that's fried. Service was awesome and our server asked if it was our first time and it was so he walked us thru the menu. Food came out timely and was delicious. I'll have to come back to try other stuff on the menu

The restaurant itself is very nicely decorated with cool art and flowers/plant life. They did a great job with creating a cool vibe inside. It does get a little loud, so if you're looking for a quiet meal, brunch on a Sunday might not be the place. The restaurant gets pretty crowded.. and for a reason. It was unnecessary. The omelette came with a side of home fries. The home fries were the perfect mix of soft and crispy, with onions and peppers. They tasted great. This restaurant is a staple in my family and I am shocked I have not written a review. I have eaten…read morehere countless times. The food is consistently delicious and the service is always good. It's a large restaurant, very pretty. Had a bar area and a private room. I actually had my bay shower here. Was fantastic. Everyone had the best time. I will write this review for this past Sunday night's dinner. There were 8 of us. We were seared right away with our reservation. Server came with menus and had my daughters high chair set up upon arrival at the table along with a kids menu and crayons. I think they have an updated kids menu and it's pretty large. My daughter ordered the organic chicken with French fries. She enjoyed it. It came with apple juice and ice cream. She was thrilled to have the ice cream at the end. My grandmother and I ordered the grilled jumbo shrimp. Was delicious! I loved the spinach and the perfectly crispy potatoes. My grandmother loved hers as well. My grandfather and father ordered the scallops. They both thoroughly enjoyed their meal and where so happy to have 8+ scallops. They felt it was a good portion. My mom ordered an eggplant pasta that she really enjoyed. My husband ordered the veal parmesan. It came with pasta on the side. He ate everything and loved it, but was full. My grandparents split a brownie with ice cream for dessert, was very good. The coffee ice cream was the perfect pairing for it. Will be back again and again

Was there last night with my brothers and my son. The restaurant choice wasn't mine. It was one of…read moremy brothers, he had passed it recently and thought we should try it. The restaurant is very clean and the atmosphere is classic. They have a Tremendous parking lot, which is always a plus. My cocktail was very good. Our first bread basket, everything in it was stale. Or maybe they made up the bread basket at 11 o'clock in the morning and served it to us at 6 PM. Either way it wasn't a good representation. All of us were extremely happy with all of the food that we ordered, props to the kitchen. I ordered a bowl of tomato orzo soup and it was funny because maybe, and this is not an exaggeration, there were three or four orzo in the entire bowl. No problem I used a little of the stale bread and it was delicious. Now the bad part. Our waiter was probably the worst server any of us have had in many years. This guy wanted to be anywhere else but at our table. We did eat the first bread basket and had to ask him four times for a second basket, which came out so late that it was a waste. Regarding that second bread basket, everything in it was fresh. There was one guy walking around who looked like a manager and looked like he just finished a round at Cherry Valley. Maybe he was a manager, but he never came over to our table either because had he I would have informed him. He just walked into the dining room every 16 minutes to give the managerial look and go back to doing Lord knows what. Anyway, another good restaurant where the back of the house is outstanding and the front of the house needs to get their act together. My brother said they would not come back, but the food was very good and so was the atmosphere. Can't say definitely but I might give it another shot.

Went back here again for St. Patricks Day and they had a slightly different menu. Luckily they had…read morethe two things I didn't get last time so I decided to try them. The fries were fantastic in every way. The chili was delicious, the bacon was fantastic and crispy, the cheese was melted fantastically, the gravy and cheddar were delicious. In every way these were fantastic, and they gave enough for a meal! The corned beef was a bit hard, but that's a personal preference and by no means bad. Cooked very well, had fantastic flavor, and the bread was great too. The fries were very soft and crispy, and everything was great overall. The garlic bread was delicious, incredibly buttery, all the items in stew were soft but not too soft, and all of them were fantastic. The potatoes, the celery, the carrots, the onion, and the beef were all wonderful. The stew was a bit hot, but there's nothing wrong with that as that's the point of ordering food! The irish bread was delicious. It was soft but also crispy in every bite, it was definitely made fresh that night. The bar was full but we still managed to get a table, the service was very attentive, we got refills quickly, the food came out hot and fresh, and was absolutely wonderful, this place is absolutely a hidden gem that deserves all the business it can get.

The Cornerstone has been a fixture in MIneola for years. I felt it was time to stop by after a…read morebrief absence. I have never walked out from here disappointed. It is located right on Jericho Turnpike and while there is no dedicated lot, there is plenty of street parking on Jericho Turnpike and the side streets. You can feel the electricity in the air as soon as you walk in. Cornerstone is especially great on game days as there are more TV screens around than I can count. This evening we came in for a light snack and knew exactly what we were having. Onion soup and wings. The waiter / bartender let us sit for a while to talk and relax then took our order. Onion soup with the cheese grilled just a little more than usual and wings just a little more crispy than usual. Soup was amazing and my wife and I really enjoyed it. The wings were delicious and perfectly cooked. We definitely need to comeback and try some other menu items especially their burgers which I hear are amazing. We are looking forward to this return trip. KUDOs to the team at Cornerstone Irish American Bar and Grill.
