Good food, the ambience was nice. Very cool looking place but the service was a bit slow. Server looked a bit disinterested and even looked mildly annoyed when we asked for extra water. Not sure if I go back despite the good food.

A little busy. I wasn't used to table service at a coffee shop. Coffee was good. The decorations were something to see.

I had a really nice breakfast at East Rock Coffee. The atmosphere was adorned with Valentine's decorations, creating a cutesy vibe that was exactly what we wanted. The staff was welcoming and sat us down promptly. I ordered a special item being promoted for February, the Red Velvet Waffles. I can't say it tasted exactly like red velvet; it had more of a mixed berry sort of taste, but it was good nonetheless, especially with the side of sausage and fresh fruit. (It tasted even better the next day after being reheated in the oven.) The real star of our visit was the Shrimp and Grits. It was well-seasoned and had a great consistency. I would definitely order either of these meals again. Looking forward to returning to try more items off their menu.

To celebrate his birthday, my son chose here for us to have Sunday Brunch. Reservations are not required but I'm glad I made them. It's a small place with brightly colored decor. After being seated by the hostess and handed menus, she explained to us how to order. We make our selections then go up to the counter and order our meals. The gentleman who took our order was friendly. You're given a number to display on your table and the meal and drinks are brought to you. My son had a Rum Rock Punch and The TEA. I ordered a Margarita Flight (choice of four) and the Shrimp and Grits. The food was fresh and flavorful, both of us throughly enjoyed our meals. The drinks were also good. The drinks in the flight were not labeled. I wish they had been. The food, drinks and service surrounded by festive decor made for a wonderful brunch experience. We will definitely be returning......

Very very cute place. Food is delicious although a little pricey for the portions. But a fun , upbeat environment. Our first server didn't seem to be into it, but our other server was excellent, friendly and on point, and the host/ manager is fantastic! Personable, helpful. There are a few high tops, regular seating, and a counter. Parking lot in the back of the restaurant.

So for starters this place is super cutesy and the hostess was a doll. There wasn't enough table seating so my friend and I sat at the bar. My friend had their fall special pistachio latte & I had their chai with hazelnut and cinnamon. Both drinks were really good & the mug is a pretty big size. For food she had the ciabatta chicken sandwich and I had the shrimp and grits. We subbed the pork bacon for turkey bacon and truly enjoyed our meals. We also shared the tees leches French toast which was suggested by the bartender. That was really good but also very sweet so if you're not into that then maybe steer clear. All in all I'll definitely be back.

I left East Rock Coffee very confused after having brunch. We were originally sat inside. We ordered with our waitress and asked if we could sit outside since the seat we had was in direct line with the air conditioner and the other table available would have presented the same issue. We were told that we not receive table side service if we moved there but we already placed our order so it did not really matter. Before ordering we asked our server questions about various menu items to be incorrectly informed on what the drinks had or to be told those items weren't available. For some reason there is no description for certain drinks on the menu even though the waitress claimed these were the most popular drinks. Many menu items are also very pricey including the drinks. A friend and I ordered a lavender lemonade and a toasted marshmallow latte to start. We moved outside and our food was brought out before our drinks. My friend ordered teriyaki chicken and waffles and I ordered the pancake parfait. My friend received regular fried chicken. We had to inquire about where our drinks were. The lemonade came out soon after this inquiry. By the time my latte came out I was almost done with my meal. I asked for a spoon which I never received. The latte also tasted like milk. No espresso flavor or toasted marshmallow flavor. I went inside to ask to speak with management and I was told they were not in at the moment. The waitress we originally had did apologize for all the mistakes and did take the latte off of our check. There was no discount given for the incorrect chicken order. What really confused me was every other table outside received table side service which we were told we would not receive if we sat outside. There seems to be a lot of miscommunication and confusion throughout this establishment. I did enjoy the parfait pancakes and my friend did enjoy the chicken and waffles despite receiving the wrong chicken. I will give 1 star for my food order. Since we already waited long enough for previously ordered items to come out we did not want to send the order back. The staff did offer to rectify it by bringing the teriyaki sauce out. Once again, it was brought out when my friend was almost done with her meal. To be fair, she did not present this issue right away but several minutes passed before receiving it. Unfortunately, I do not wish to return.

Saw that they have Valentines Day drinks on the menu, so I ordered the Heart Throb Mocha Iced Latte. It was very cute, with heart sprinkles on top. As usual, it was very good just like all their other items that I've had.

I seen this establishment on Instagram and decided to stop by I am always looking for a good matcha latte. They have a parking in the back, when I walked in I was greeted right away. The decor is beautiful the flower wall paper, the seating is green and gold. I ordered a medium matcha latte to stay once you pay the barista gives you a number to take to any table and she will bring you, your food/ beverage. The latte was good nice flavor to it and it didn't have a bunch ice filled to the top of the cup like most establishments do. I will definitely come back to this location they have a nice brunch menu.

    Brunch burger

Bun was dry/stale, burger patty was salty, in general lacking flavor. one of those burgers you need a 4 inch jaw span to be able to bite. fries weren't crispy, fresh but undercooked. service was good! The lady was really nice. i'm sure other things are good, just not this item!

I had been wanting to come here since I saw they opened and I finally dragged my husband here for brunch on a Monday morning. I absolutely love the decor here so much, as you can tell from my many photos I took lol. Delicious food and I had an amazing lemonade. Service was good and I'd love to go back eventually.

Normally, I don't start a review on a negative but after we left and counting up all the missteps, I felt off. My wife is more forgiving, she liked the Frito Misto and Bolognese. It's hard to believe this was a BBQ spot a few years ago. The glass garage door is still in place, back in the day it was enjoyable during the spring. There's a reason why it's called Sparrow Cocktails. I ordered the Smoked Old Fashioned. Made with Angel's Envy Bourbon and wood smoked chips, this was a great cocktail before dinner. The Frito Misto had a delicate coating, it wasn't overly battered. The green dipping sauce served on the side was bland. It didn't add to the dish and was thin. The Malfalde Bolognese was a hearty portion, we were able to share this large dish between the two of us. Made with beef, veal and pork and simmered in San Marzono tomatoes, this entree satisfies all my pasta cravings. I was looking for some grated cheese, none was offered.. The Back Sea Bass special, IMHO we should have passed. My wife asked about bones and was told they de-bone the fish table side. What was served to us was a fish that was cooked well but was full of small pin bones. We passed on dessert, it was time to go. an expensive meal that doesn't warrant a return visit.

Overall, we found many of the dishes to be overly salty and oily. I ordered the rib sandwich and was disappointed because it wasn't what I expected. I anticipated an actual rib sandwich, but it appeared to be more like shredded beef and didn't have the flavor or texture of ribs. My son ordered the stuff Nutella French Toast and ended up sending them back. The eggs he was served were also quite salty. My daughter did not enjoy her burger, which was unusually thick and difficult to eat as prepared. My wife finished her meal, but she did not find it particularly enjoyable and felt the portion size was too small for the price. I think part of the issue may have been the limited Father's Day brunch menu. Had there been more options available, we might have found dishes that better suited our tastes. Additionally, dessert was not included in the package, which was somewhat disappointing. While the atmosphere and service were definite positives, the food did not meet our expectations. Based on this experience, I'm not sure if I would return.

Anyway, for the tacos: we got the mojo pork carnitas, pork belly, sesame ribeye, roasted duck, crispy shrimp & baja fish. We also got the duck birria quesadilla, plantains, korean bbq ribeye rice bowl & ahi tuna crispy rice bowl, a side of esquites (street corn off cob) & the seasonal fruit (honeydew) with tajin. All the food came out together so it took a long while. They were obviously short staffed. The pork belly & pork carnitas tacos were our faves- both were flavorful & the pork belly skin was crispy. The shrimp & fish tacos were perfectly fried. The ribeye & roasted duck taco meat were dry. The duck birria quesadilla was really good even tho the broth was a little bland. Corn was spicy yet tasty, we enjoyed the sweet fried plantains too. The rice bowls were disappointing- way too much sauce in the ahi tuna bowl, which made everything very salty & the crispy rice became soggy, and the Korean bbq ribeye was dry & tough- it's basically just a bibimbap. I don't recommend getting rice bowls at a taco place lol. The worst thing was the seasonal fruit with tajin that my daughter ordered. The honeydew was not riped nor sweet but rather flavorless & tasted sour with the tajin & lime juice- disgusting :x

The restaurant has an upscale, sophisticated feel while still being warm and inviting. It's aesthetically pleasing, beautifully maintained, and fastidiously clean, which I really appreciated. The ambiance, service, and food all matched the caliber of the space. We started with the House Bread, which was warm, buttery, soft, and absolutely delicious. Definitely one of those "I should stop eating this so I have room for dinner" situations . We also shared the Fritto Misto with calamari, pesce, artichoke, hot peppers, lemon, and fra diavolo. I even found some nice chunks of fried salmon mixed in. Everything was lightly fried rather than heavily battered or greasy, but still packed with flavor. The fra diavolo on the side complemented it perfectly. For our entrées, we both ordered the $58 Spaghetti with Maine lobster, pecorino, fra diavolo, and basil. SO GOOD! The pasta was cooked perfectly, the sauce had a nice little kick, and there was a generous amount of lobster throughout. I would absolutely order it again. I had the Espresso Martini, which was delicious, and my partner had the lemonade. His only critique was that it was a little tart, but I actually appreciated that. To me, it tasted freshly squeezed rather than overly sweet, watered down, or packed with sugar. Overall, we had no complaints. The Farm Italy gave us a beautiful anniversary dinner from beginning to end. Upscale atmosphere, immaculate space, great service, delicious food, and portions that felt worth it. We left happy and already talking about going back to try more of the menu. Definitely a 5-star experience for us! #foodtiktok #food #dinner #fyp #review @The Farm Italy Restaurant

The restaurant has a beautiful, bright, modern atmosphere that feels much more upscale than its surroundings. Based on other reviews, the standout dishes seemed to be the grilled Spanish octopus and the SB Smash Burger, so I ordered both. Unfortunately, the execution fell short in several areas. The East Coast oysters arrived with mignonette but without horseradish or oyster forks--small details, but noticeable oversights. The oysters, octopus, and burger were all tasty, but the presentation of octopus and burger was surprisingly sloppy, as though little attention had been paid when the dishes left the kitchen. The bar also was understaffed. A single bartender was serving both the bar and the entire dining room, which led to waits for drinks. My bartender was friendly, attentive, and worked hard, but one person simply wasn't enough. I finished with the Key Lime Custard, which had what appeared to be a layer of shredded cereal on the bottom. I wasn't sure what it was. The dessert itself was enjoyable, though I think a base of toasted sliced almonds with a few fried blueberries on top of it would have added better texture and complemented the flavors more effectively. One nice perk is the validated valet parking, for a reduced fee, which makes arriving and leaving especially convenient given the mall location. The whiskey selection could also be improved by adding a few more interesting, off-the-beaten-path single malts or blends. Overall, the kitchen shows promise! And perhaps I came on an off night. With better attention to presentation, appropriate bar staffing, and a more adventurous choice of spirits, Small Batch could deliver an experience that better matches its reputation.
