Best place in town! We tried steak, lobster rolls, salad, wings and all 3 dessert option , it was all great. The staff is friendly and the chef is consistent. We have also brought our dog at times to sit outside.

We came on a Thursday night around 7pm in late September and we're happy to see 4+ tables filled, especially this late in the Chatauqua season. It felt warm and inviting when we walked inside. We were seated right away with menus. We weren't sure what the ordering process was so we noticed the QR code on the table so we placed our order online. We ordered a glass of the super Tuscan and I can't remember what my husband ordered. Both were nice, dry and good temp. Our Caesar salad came out first. It was crisp, fresh and we enjoyed the bacon bits. We could tell if there was anchovy in it but the menu had it listed. The filet was cooked to my medium rare request. I wish there were a small side potato or veg on the plate. It looked so bare and but I didn't really want to pay $8-10 more for a side on top of the $38. But I recognize how restaurants need to balance price, quality and quantity. My husband ordered the salmon so I stole some of his Brussels sprouts and kale. The salmon was cooked perfectly and had a lot of good flavors. The kale was very salty and our waiter said he shared that with the chef but didn't offer anything more. We finished our meal and our waiter asked if we had already closed out. He mentioned that we were probably one of the rare customers who figured out the online ordering process. We would like to give this place another try. The quality of food was very good and we liked the atmosphere. Pricing was on the higher end for the area so we'll save it for a special occasion!

I couldn't be happier that we found this hidden gem just minutes from our cabin in Mayville. While we like to get out there to unplug, grill, and watch the fire burn we still love an upscale option nearby and this is the answer! We enjoyed an incredible brunch complete with cocktails and even a mocktail for our non drinking guest. The detail in the each dish and drink matches the ambience and design and of this locally family owned restaurant/bar and we were blown away from the moment we walked in until the moment we left. The crab cakes were for sure the star of the show but each menu item we ordered was unique and a winner in its own way. We cannot wait to go back for dinner and continue to be loyal customers. Keep it up!!!

Nothing bad to say about this place. Very modern chic and the atmosphere is like no other restaurant in Mayville. If you're in the Chautauqua area you need to try Truffle Honey!

The focal point of the entry to this restaurant is a gorgeous tiled wood oven. My group ordered a Mediterranean pasta dish, halibut, and a burger with fries. Anything, especially a side of broccolini, touched by the oven was delicious. This restaurant is a great addition to the options near the Chautauqua Institution.

We had our dog with us so we only planted to get carry out, and then we discovered a shaded patio. We decided to stay and eat outside. I was standing at the host stand for quite a while because I hadn't noticed the seat yourself sign. I had also walked in the restaurant and was looking around for any employee - two servers at a table saw me standing there looking confused but then just went right back into the kitchen. When another guest pointed out the sign, I thought well that's great but if we want to sit outside will they ever know we are there. Someone finally returned to the bar and we were able to get a server. We ended up ordering three appetizers - skoat balls, cheese sticks, peach Burrata. All three good. I also ordered a blueberry mint mocktail beer that was actually quite disappointing. It was also quite a charming little town! Would like to go back again sometime, sadly that is unlikely to ever happen.

The Empty Bottle is STBC's distillery and, to be honest, I think was more fun to go to compared to their bar/restaurant, The Empty Pint! Some family and I were visiting Jamestown for a weekend and after we had a few drinks and some food at The Empty Pint, we stumbled over to The Empty Bottle to sample some of their harder spirits and maybe some cocktails. Plus, we needed to escape the incredibly loud live music playing at The Empty Pint... Right from the start, it's a more intimate setting and was much more relaxed. We grabbed a table inside with no trouble at all and ordered a flight of their "Draught Cocktails". The ladies working behind the bar were incredibly fun, friendly, and enthusiastic and really brightened up our night! We enjoyed all of these drinks but we really loved one called "Transfusion", which was their vodka, Welch's Grape Juice, lime juice, simple syrup, and ginger ale. We all wanted to buy a few bottles of this, if they made it, it was absolutely delicious! The price for the flight was very reasonable too and they gave you a nice pour for each. If you want food though, you'll need to take a short walk over to The Empty Pint, though I'd recommend just grabbing some appetizers, do a bigger meal elsewhere. My advice to anyone visiting Southern Tier Brewing Company would be to first come to The Empty Bottle and enjoy cocktails and the harder spirits then round out the evening, once it gets a little later, with a Pumking (while it's on draft) at The Empty Pint, up the road a few steps. I'm really looking forward to coming back to The Empty Bottle the next time I'm in the area!

For my drive back to Cleveland from skiing at Holiday Valley I was looking for a place along the…read moreroute to grab some fish and chips for dinner. Steener's Pub popped up and the reviews were good. Located in Bemus Point just a couple of miles from I 86 made for a convenient stop. Steener's is located a bit outside of the Bemus Point main drag, but there are a couple of other businesses nearby. The building looks modern from the outside, inside it looks like the original bar area has been there quite a while, they then added a dining room and later a second dining room. The decor is casual tavern style, lots of wood and mellow colors without much extra. The menu is a nice mix of typical bar food with a good selection of fish and seafood which makes sense for a place so near to Chautauqua Lake. Service was good, the waitress was friendly. I ordered the fish and chips since it was highlighted in the menu. The order came out quickly, a huge batter fried fish fillet on top of a load of fries with side cups of tarter sauce and coleslaw. The fries and coleslaw were just what you expect, good but nothing special. The fish was outstanding, mild flaky white fish in a perfectly crunchy coating; delicious and very satisfying. My only complaint was that while it was nicely presented on a square plate, having the huge fish fillet on top of the fries made it difficult to eat since I had to move the fish around to get to the fries and cutting the fish with the fries underneath did not work well. I appreciate attractive food presentation is important, but this was too much food for the size of the plate. I really liked my dinner at Steener's, if they could raise the level of the side dishes to match the fried fish this would be truly exceptional. Keep making great fish, just upgrade the rest of food to match.
