We expect good service because we do not wish to wait, as most of us don't, because we have our lives to live and for some reason, we have gotten quite used to delicious, hot food! lol. We enjoy smiling, and laughing as many of us do, so a friendly, polite, and efficient Server is a plus. For all of these reasons and especially because we don't always know what we feel like eating, we would like to recommend to you the British Open Pub in Bluffton, SC. Why? Because the grub, sorry, food, I hate it when it does that, lol; is very tasty. Their menu offers a variety of different fare. Their atmosphere is quaint, pleasant, and laid back. When I asked if we could move outside because we had an infant with us and didn't want to disturb other diners, the manager couldn't have been kinder or more accommodating. He moved our table without hesitation and made us feel like it was a pleasure--not an inconvenience. Our server, Andreas, was absolutely exceptional. His attentiveness, warmth, and genuine care elevated an already wonderful meal. By the time we left, we felt like family. The food was incredible from start to finish, but the baked ricotta appetizer deserves a special mention--I would come back just for that! Once before entering the building and multiple times while we were inside, we received stares from numerous different customers. They were all admittedly uppity-looking. It felt like we had eyes on us the whole time. One woman even did a full 180 turn at the bar to glance at us (I could see the bar area from outside when the sun started going down). I'm not sure if this restaurant is frequented more by locals who aren't used to seeing outside people; I live an hour outside Bluffton. But that just kind of dampened the entire experience and made it a bit uncomfortable. We weren't doing or wearing anything to draw attention.
