The strange thing about that is you don't get a choice if they do it. It's automatic so $400 is added to your bill that you didn't ask for. The gentleman was very nice, but took a long time to go over all their wonderful aspects of their company. Which personally I wasn't impressed by that. You can tell me the APS really backs you up, and supports the star energy rating. Well, looking at other reviews, I'm very happy I'm not going with them. Okay, I've been a customer since before the Tesla acquisition, since 2013. We have had to replace…read moreour solar inverter one time due to a malfunctioning part that actually burnt up inside the unit. Recently, I was alerted to the fact that our solar had stopped working six weeks ago when I got a surprise APS bill. I tried to find a number to call and stumbled on all these negative reviews. After reading them, I was full of righteous indignation and I called prepared to do battle and wait up to 60 days for my system to be repaired. I was super surprised when I ended up spending less than 20 minutes on the phone with them. They had been trying to contact me using an old number and had even tried sending a tech out to my house once while I was not home, so they weren't able to access my inverter. After my call, a tech came out two days later and was able to fix my inverter with just a software code change. He was here 15 minutes and my inverter is happily chugging away. While I'm pretty sure they could have done a better job of trying to contact me (tech could have left a note when they were at my home, could have mailed me an actual letter, etc.) I'm very satisfied with their speed of service and diligence. Each person I spoke to was professional and polite and made sure to stay on the call until they were sure I'd been successfully transferred to the appropriate party. I hope I don't need more service for a while, but it seems like they were on it this time.

The system with 2 inverters and 16KW Solar panels was installed during Mid-November of 2024, one of the two inverters suddenly failed with 0% production of energy on March-13th-2026. The frustrating part is the customer service; After trying to reset the system several times, I used my Tesla App to reach out to customer support, however their response time to my query was 5-7 business days. I had to wait till Monday March-16-2026 to speak to one of their team members, after ~ 30 mins of hold/talk time they enabled me to schedule an appointment through my Tesla App. The appointment currently is for April-22nd-2026. They need ~ 5 weeks to have their technician come and take a look at what exactly is the issue ! This is just for assessing/investigating the issue, most probably some hardware component of the inverter needs to be replaced, which may take more time since Tesla needs to order the failed parts. I regret my decision to go with Tesla Solar system, I did not do my research well before deciding on the vendor. This is a lesson learnt the hard way for me. After sales service is an important aspect before we buy any thing which has a high probability of failures.

Jim came up with a system design that has far exceeded what I initially had in mind. My primary goal was to fully cover APSs demand charges / peak hours. After about 4 months of the system being online, we have not seen a single cent of peak/demand charges and our net bills have been a credit. This is even after unexpectedly adding a hybrid SUV that charges every day. Our setup: 17kw solar with two Tesla Powerwall 3's. Bottom line we could not be happier with the entire process and results. And as others have said pricing was much better than the other quotes!

When they bid the work, I found the price reasonable and inline with market expectations. When Shadrach arrived, he immediately went to work. While here, he highlighted an additional piece. I completely agreed with the additional piece and asked for the work to be done. When I received the invoice, I worked with Steven, the field supervisor, in a very amicable manner. Simply put, they know what they are doing and they are very fair and honest. If I ever need electrical work again, I will certainly call T&K Electric. I must also point out I had to ask T&K to return. After the roofing and the electrical work, summer arrived. My air conditioning did not function. T&K returned as if it was simply expected. Steven conducted the inspection. He reported his findings and said he went as far as an electrician could go. When the HVAC company arrived, the HVAC technician showed me the defective part and stated clearly why the part failed. Meaning the issue was solely a result of HVAC normal wear and tear. I found working with T&K Electrical very comforting. Even when the issue didn't involve them, they were very willing to investigate. Clearly, T&K takes pride in their work and craft and confirms the work is done right. Highly recommend.

I spent hours trying get this fixed and I have the professional version adobe - something seems fishy here. Anyhow, after thoroughly reading - and after they kept saying you can buy it out in 5 years - well not really accurate. There is a 5 year buy out on 25 years contract but its their option not yours. They could make you do the whole 25 years. Second they stated Fair Mark Value at 5 years. Well its not the value of just hardware - it states "This valuation will take into account the System's age, location, conditions, size, and other market characteristics such as equipment type, service costs, and value of electricity in your area, and any applicable incentives" which means what this could have produced. I honestly feel this company is not being forthright - I would stay away from them.
