He sent the receipt via email and printed so that we could send it into Guardian for reimbursement. 10/10 recommend for the service and extra mile. While we were there waiting, we saw how attentive the employees were to the needs to the customers in the store but also how aware they were of people walking in and getting to those people quickly without sacrificing service to those they were already working with. I asked what else they would recommend get done to my old war horse and the answer was, "Just ride it." It's nice to have a bicycle mechanic I can trust. When I mentioned that I typically ride a 58cm frame because it feels more manageable for me, I was quickly told I was riding the "wrong size" and should be on a 60cm based solely on my height. I understand fit guidance is part of the job, but the way it was communicated felt dismissive of my actual riding experience and preferences. At one point I was told, "I've been doing this for 30 years," which came across more as shutting down the conversation than helping me find the right fit. I also asked to test ride an e-bike to get a feel for the assist, and it felt like an inconvenience to the staff. I had to ask multiple times before they agreed, and by then the interaction had already left a negative impression. I'm sure the staff is knowledgeable, but the approach can come off as arrogant rather than helpful. As a customer, I'm looking for collaboration and respect for my preferences, not to be talked out of them. Unfortunately, this has been my experience on more than one visit and I wont be returning or recommending this shop to anyone.
