Needed a Specialized Dealer to address a warranty issue on a defective wheel hub. Not sure what I was waking into but Will took care of me and addressed all of my concerns and laid out all the options. Being a former retail professional, I tend to notice any lapses in customer service pretty quickly. Multiple employees lied to me repeatedly, they returned my bike a week late, and did not complete the service correctly. On the phone they even admitted that they lie to customers about when their bikes will be ready - the tech told me in person it would be ready the next day but I learned on the phone that he actually scheduled it for two weeks later. The guy said "oh yeah we promise everybody" when I reminded him (again) of the next-day guarantee I was given (and was counting on). I had to keep calling repeatedly in order to get them to work on it. He told me multiple times he would get it done ASAP and call me back later that day/next day - he never once called. I finally got through to him a couple days later and got him to work on it. He acted like he was doing me a favor for getting around to working on my bike several days after it was supposed to have been done. When I picked it up I could see and hear the two bike mechanics making negative comments about me because I had the audacity to expect them not to be liars. I had to inspect it thoroughly because they tried to steal a couple of parts from me so I had to tell them to return everything that I owned. One of the mechanics lied to me and the guy at the register by claiming that only one of my two tires had a tube in it - they both had tubes and I reminded him that I watched him remove the tube from the tire while I was in there dropping it off. When caught in the lie, the the guy at register returned my tube that the tech attempted to steal from me. They even wrote snarky comments on the work order and receipt that I got. Who does that? Regardless, they gave me back a bike with tires that wouldn't hold air due to leaks, and I'm pretty confidence they did a shitty job on purpose. When I called they refused to do anything about it other than to add me to the back of the line again with no guarantee that they would fix their mistake without charging me again. What an awful business. Go anywhere else other than this place. read more

If you are looking to buy a decent bike that includes a guarantee, DO NOT buy here. I chose to purchase my $600 mountain bike here two years ago because they offered lifetime tune-ups and care. Though I could have purchased the same bike for a lower cost elsewhere, I did not mind spending the extra money here because of the promised warranty. Since I bought the bike, it immediately started having problems. The front gears would not change properly, with the chain rattling and staying on the same gear. The back gears would jump and not gain traction on the 6th-8th gear. Today was my FOURTH time taking in the bike since I purchased it, and I had a terrible experience. Each time I've brought the bike in for repairs up to this point, they've replaced a part saying that it would fix the problem. However, the issues still persisted. Today, the young man that helped me bent something back in place on the back gear, without telling me that he would charge me $25 for it. I explained to him that my bike has been having the same problems since I purchased it, and he told me that the bike "didn't have the nicest hardware". He told me if I wanted a bike that worked better, I would have to spend about $3,000. If I buy a $600 bike, it should be very functional and have decent hardware. I'm a college student and only bike recreationally on occasion, and had to spend all of my Christmas money to watch a young man bend something back into place (I could've easily done it myself had I known he was going to charge that much). Peachtree Bikes has lost my family's business, as well as my friends. I strongly recommend you purchase a bike from another local bike shop that will sell you quality items and guarantee them. read more

Too many frustrating experiences with this place! I have an S-Works mountain bike and I used to go here because it was the closest Specialized Dealer, but I got fed up with the nonsense and I'll never go back! They installed new crank bearings on my mountain bike and I took it back twice because it wasn't right. The first time, it had over a 1/4" of play in it. The second time, they didn't have the right washers/spacers on it. I ended up taking it apart and reassembling it myself with the correct parts (according to the SRAM diagram). I ordered an S-Works tire once and when I went to pick it up, he had the heavier Grid version because he said the S-Works tire wasn't available. I told him that I didn't want the Grid version, and if he had called me, I would have told him to skip it. (Thanks for wasting my time and gas!) I had them replace one of my cracked carbon rims... The rim they used has different graphics than my original rim and I've never liked it. If they had called ahead of time and told me, I would have bought a used one off ebay that matched the one I had! Which brings up a point - they say they'll call you when your bike is ready or when your part comes in, but they never do! And then there was the time when I had them replace my frame bearings... I called to see how it was going and the mechanic said he had taken the bike apart but he was quiting the company and they took the frame to the Sandy Springs store but some of the parts were still at the Buckhead store... What a nightmare!!! I'm done with Peachtree Bikes... I found another shop that's farther away, but the service is 100 times better! read more

I first wandered in to Peachtree Bikes when I was looking for a new bike. I didn't think this little shop would have much of a selection, but they do! There is whole downstairs area filled with different types of bikes. Unfortunately, they were all out of my price range, but the salesperson told me to just buy a cheap bike and bring it in to them for adjustments. I really appreciated the honesty and when I brought my cheap bike in for adjusting the guys couldn't have been nicer. They checked everything out to make sure it was in good working order, adjusted my seat, and attached a cute little wicker basket for me. The adjustment cost $40 and it was well worth it to know that my cheap little bike will get me where I need to go. Since I'm new to bike ownership, I take my bike to Peachtree Bikes whenever there is a problem. Recently, I had a flat tire and the guys fixed my tire and explained to me how often I should check them, why they go flat when not in use, what type of air pump to buy, and how to use the air pump. It seems like the folks at Peachtree Bikes want to educate people and make them better bike riders. This shop rocks! read more

I had my mind set on a Specialized Hybrid and these guys did not disappoint! They are so friendly! I'm new to cycling, after 40+ years of running, and they are so patient with this newbie! I worked with both Dave and Chuck, both are extremely knowledgeable and thorough. Chuck fit every aspect of the bike to my body type...maybe that's why I've never taken to cycling in the past, because maybe I was never properly fitted! I purchased a Cervelo from Peachtree Bikes 12 years ago. It started to discolor near the dropouts - old carbon steel bonding problem. Cervelo told me to warranty swap it - impressive! Peachtree made that happen with a smile and great phone updates. Then my old derailleur met the new frame and minor problems piled up. Peachtree wrestled each problem into submission and wouldn't stop until my bike met their high standards. I can't thank JC enough for his determination and patience. Huge positive shout out to Mike Horton and the service team at Peachtree. Based on America's bike boom in 2020, I ended up buying a bike from a different shop in ATL and coordinating with Mike to pack and ship the bike to me in San Diego. All communication was done on the phone and via email - so expectations were unknown on how this transaction would turn out. But Mike and the service team surpassed all expectations with their packing of my new bike - I couldn't believe how much effort and care was put into the job! My new bike arrived in flawless condition and about 10 days earlier than expected. This place is great. I took my 2 boys (11 and 9) in to the Peachtree Bikes near Chastain on Roswell Road a few weeks ago to look at new bikes. We weren't quite sure what we wanted and what the prices would be - but the staff was great. They took the time to discuss the options, fit the boys to the right size bikes (I would have gone too small if left to my own knowledge...or lack of) and also let them test ride the bikes in the parking lot. They weren't cheap bikes (both Specialized) - so we decided to 'sleep on it' versus buying them on the spot. But there was no pressure whatsoever from the staff to make a purchase right then even after spending all that time with us. I just went back to the store today with my sons to buy the two bikes and the staff was great again. They let the boys test ride the bikes some more and made adjustments to help get them properly fitted. These guys really seem to care and want to make sure people have a great experience in the store but more importantly when they get their new bike out on the road / trail. My family will continue to go back to Peachtree Bikes for our biking needs as our kids get older and outgrow their current bikes. read more

Awesome! Walked out a few hours ago with a great little bike for my 9 yr old. The staff was super patient, totally helpful, and we weren't rushed by any means. The gentleman at the front desk was also super sweet, he put on my bike rack (after my own epic fail) tied up the new bike and we were ready to go. These guys don't seem to care about the customer as soon as you walk in the door. No acknowledgement that you are even there..you just kind of stand there and wait for them to stop chatting before anyone thinks to say "hello". They sold me the wrong size chain then when I brought my bike back for an estimate for service they sold me another chain and did the work without giving me a chance to decide if I wanted work done. The first chain they sold me apparently was too short after i removed links and they couldn't add links to lengthen it even though I could've got them because I still had them. Better communication on their end was expected and seriously lacking in this case. I wanted to do business local but I won't go back to these guys again. Avid Cyclist.......Went to Purchase a new Bike at a Local Bike Shop, after reading reviews on here. I decided to go check out PeachTree Bikes. When I first got there I was greeted and shown around. After finally settling up on the bike I wanted, the size was NOT available at this location but could be delivered from another bike store that they owned. The Bike I was looking at had been discounted due to it being an earlier model year. It was knocked down a considerable $200 dollars....A good amount. A few days had passed and when the bike finally made its way up to the Sandy Springs Location.....It was marked as FULL MSRP...! I had quickly caught on the fact it was now the MSRP and not the discounted price, due to it being a model year old. The salesman told me it had to be custom ordered and thus why its a full price MSRP............ I had NO CLUE you could order a MODEL YEAR OLD BIKE straight from the Manufacture.....Give Me a Break. I quickly got ahold of the Manufacture in question and they simply laughed at this! read more

We went to Peachtree Bikes to be custom-fitted for bikes, and to acquire bikes most suited for purpose (around town and beltline), and the service far exceeded our expectations. Chuck Prince was outstanding in all regards. He quickly guided us towards bikes with frames, tires, and gear counts that were both what I'd deem optimal for purpose and for our personal heights and frames. Despite it being a very busy Saturday morning in the shop, he was very patient with us and deft in choosing the right accessories to fit our needs, getting them installed on the bikes, and getting the bikes precisely adjusted to our heights, frames, and comfort. He went the extra mile in illustrating for us how to remove a tire for replacement, and custom packing a tube repair kit for us to attach to the bikes. To top it off he assisted us in carefully loading the bikes into our SUV for individual transports home. Called and spoke with Jack in regards to getting some fine tuning done on my bike. He said drop it off and it should be ready in a few days. I stop by and meet him in person and to my surprise he puts my bike on the stand to work on immediately. 15 minutes later my bike was done and ready to ride. Great service and friendly staff. They have a great attitude for helping find the right stuff if they don't have it in their huge store. They were also open to me learning about my component group set and the techie stuff about it. Not even worth 1 star.... Probably the worst service I have ever experienced. With only 3 customers in the store, I am not sure why it was so inconvenient to get some help. Absolutely fantastic! I cannot speak highly enough of Chuck Prince, who spent over 2.5 hours with me finding the appropriate bike and completely outfitting it to my needs. He is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and kind and will put you on the bike that is best for your needs. Not only did Chuck understand what features I wanted in a bike, he was very respectful of my budget and did not try to oversell anything. After choosing the appropriate frame, he adjusted every part of the bike to fit me perfectly. I ended up buying a bike and going back the next day to pick it up, and he let me ride around the building again to ensure that everything fit well and I was riding comfortably.
