First of all, this place is adorable and their teas are fantastic. One major drawback though, is the smell from the nail place next-door. I had a raging headache by the time I left. A few days after our visit, my mom texted me to tell me about how much her Boba cost her because she found her paper receipt in the bottom of her purse. Not only did they add a tip that she did not add herself, they literally charged her extra money for less ice. Is that where we are now? We're charging people more money for less product? I welcome a response from the owners if maybe we misunderstood something, but a tip is earned, not an automatic thing that should be added to every order. And we certainly should not be paying more money for less of something. read more

I LOVE having a place in town where I can get a halo halo! For anyone who's not familiar, a halo halo is a Filipino dessert that contains different flavored jellies, sweet beans, crushed ice, evaporated milk, ube ice cream. The version here also includes flan and boba. The secret here is mixing all of the ingredients together for a very refreshing dessert. Pro tip: add some condensed milk and it gets even better! It's a cute little shop and the line can run a little long sometimes but that's okay. The employees have always been very nice so waiting is no big deal. My friend works next door at the nail salon. I got a mani done so I thought why not grab a fruit tea to keep my wonderful afternoon going. I have been to a majority of the boba spots in town so I was excited to try it this joint out. I love love love how girly and cute this place is! The pink walls. The decorative wall with all the roses on it. The gold accents. The cute chandeliers. The vibe of this place is right up my alley! I appreciate how feminine it is. I was instantly greeted by the sweet gal behind the counter. She said I was more than welcome to order with her or at the kiosk. I chose to order at the kiosk as I can take my time to go over the drink menu without being stressed of taking too much of her time. They have quite a few options. I know most places have similar drinks so I was looking to see if they have something different. I do love some of the names they have their drinks. I chose the Barbie today. It sounded fun and girly so why not. It's a pomegranate and lychee fruit tea with strawberry popping boba. I have tried a lot of fruit combinations with lychee. This will be my first experience with pomegranate. My drink came out bright and vibrant. I love the cute design on the cup and seal. Popped my straw into that baby and took a huge sip. Mannnn was it good! It was sweet and slightly tart. The popping bobas were a great addition to the drink. Barbie was definitely the right pick. I would frequent this place everyday if they were closer to me. All the fun places are always clear across town. My tea was delicious and fun. The gal that helped me a really sweet. Inside out: this place has a competitive and busy parking lot on a few visits, but it can have calm times that are easy to get in and out of. Inside is decorated vibrantly with a solid amount of pink. Everything looks pretty clean and is packed with personality. The service and tea have always been great, they're open a little later with a slightly higher price tag. My husband always gets the strawberry and loves it. Stopped by here on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn't too busy. Parking can be limited, especially during peak business hours, as they share the lot with other businesses in the plaza. The service was quick and friendly! I ordered the Wintermelon Milk Tea with boba (50% sweetness and 50% ice) and a Thai Milk Tea with boba. The Thai Milk Tea was great, but the Wintermelon was too sweet for me even at 50% sugar. The boba was solid! All in all, it's a solid boba spot but be careful of sweetness levels if you're not a sweet tooth. read more

Tra Boba Milk Tea Cafe Tra is a wonderful new Boba milk tea café that recently opened in Boise. It is conveniently located in a strip mall near the Boise Costco, right next to The Tortilla Factory. In addition to Boba teas, they have flavored teas, iced Vietnamese coffee, slushy's and smoothies. They also have a small food menu of Bagel sandwiches and Bánh mì. I visited for the first time on 10/28/22. I knew this place was legit when I asked where they get the tea they use for their signature Boba milk tea and the answer was "Taiwan." I appreciate that the drink prices include Boba. I ordered a large Signature Milk Tea ($6.75) and a Grilled Pork Bánh mì ($6.75). The Signature Milk Tea comes with the inside of the cup lined with brown sugar syrup, which makes it extra delicious! My drink was excellent! Because I was taking my bánh mì to go, the owners thoughtfully put the vegetable garnish on the side so the heat of the sandwich wouldn't make it soggy before I got back to my office. My Bánh mì was excellent too! Vanessa wanted me to try their Winter Melon Tea, and gave me one on the house. I have never tried Winter Melon Tea before so didn't know quite what to expect. It had a mild, light, refreshing, sweet flavor that's been compared to fresh cucumber, as well as watermelon rind. I thought it had a slightly caramel flavor too. Winter Melon Tea is high in vitamins and antioxidants. Many drink it for its health benefits. It was a little too sweet for my taste (similar to Sweet Tea), but I enjoyed getting to try something new. To the best of my knowledge, there's no place else in Idaho serving Winter Melon Tea. Best Milk Tea in Boise I first ordered Mango Tea with Aloe Jelly. Tea is so perfect, taste fresh tea not like somewhere they only use favor syrup for fruit tea. I went to shop at Costco, saw the girl with Avocado smoothie. Just went back there & got a big avocado smoothie with black tapioca. They had never disappointed. Use all good qualities. Went in on June 19th, 2025. We ordered 4 drinks. Strawberry milk, cream brûlée with milk, tapioca and fairytale. The first 2 came with tea but I thought people can make mistake. So I paid 2 more drink to be remake with milk. The 2 girls put my cream brûlée with tea back in the fridge. WHF?!?! I paid for 6 drinks totaled and you gave me 5? Also the bobas is not cooked. Hard in the middle. We used to go there quite often to get halo halo but after today, I don't think we would ever go back. Don't waste your money! Boba is adequate. I frequent a LOT of boba places, but this one leaves something to be desired. When i get the clear teas, even with less sugar in them, it tastes so strongly of syrup and no jasmine notes come through at all, kinda leaving you with this sugary sweet feeling like you drank a soda. The brown sugar milk tea is good, but something about it also feels like its missing something. However where this specific store shines is in ambiance, its gorgeous inside and out. The plants and the wall art, its very very instagram-able if you wanted a cute girls day and to take some photos. I mean seriously, 11/10 on the store aesthetic side of things. My main issue with this shop and the reason for a 3 star is that upon entering the shop in the mornings and early afternoons is the smell of cleaning product is SO strong sometimes i have to step outside for a minute. Im happy its being cleaned but the vapors almost knock me back when i come in and sometimes make me feel sick while im waiting in time. The service is good, employees at this location are kinda dutch bros like which is good, theyll chat with you and be pleasant. Conclusion: this is a location i would go to if my other 3 favorites were closed and i really was craving it, but not if i wanted a clear tea. I would just forgo the craving for the day bc the clear teas are just way way way too sweet even with half sugar. I drive 25 minutes either direction to go to my favorite places over the 8 minute drive to here because i know the boba at the other places is exactly what im looking for and if im going to spend 6$ on a tea i need it to actually satisfy. I think this shop could get the hang of it, but its missing something the others arent. That being said, it is my fourth favorite shop in all of boise/nampa, i wont even go to boise boba or the other fake boba places bc its way too expensive for not at all proper tea or boba. Also the owner is really nice and i hope to come back and improve my review in a few months. I go here decently often, maybe once a month, and i keep trying to see if itll improve. Boba close to home. Nice little location finally a boba place close to home! I got my wife the milk tea with black boba, half sweet. The drink was really good, the boba was a little hard but other than that, tasted good. I also ordered two Banh Mi sandwiches, grilled pork and pork belly. Both had great flavor, not sure but it seem like there was soy sauce or fish sauce that was a little salty. Overall fresh and with lots of flavor, bread was crispy with lots of meat. I'm done with this place. The last 3 Thai tea drinks I have ordered, basically taste like milk. Very poor quality and the drinks vary by whomever makes them. Very inconsistent and the cost, it should taste like Thai tea not milk. I ended up throwing the last one away before o even left the shop. read more

My wife and I used to enjoy coming here for our boba milk teas, but the last few visits have been disappointing. Numerous drinks on the menu have been out of stock for a few weeks now, including one of our favorites, which is rose milk tea. On our visit today, we ordered 2 milk teas, both 50% sweet. These were the most underwhelming milk teas we've had. They tasted like they were 0% sweet, and the flavor was almost imperceptible. The oolong tea my wife ordered just tasted like milk, and the peach in my peach milk tea was barely perceptible. We will not back back to Tra anytime soon. Whenever we do find our way back, I hope they've corrected their issues. read more

Went here today looking for boba tea. They have delicious tea and super tasty smoothies! I will definitely be back again.

First off, be prepared to sit and wait. I've been here twice and it was about 20 minutes to make a drink and sandwich both times (not because it was busy just seems to take that long). While waiting I noticed people that just ordered a drink would be about 5-7 minutes. The cafe has great decoration and takes the edge off waiting. That being said, the pork belly bahnmi is incredible and worth the time. For $7 it is tiny, 5"-6" but it is so good and I will come here to get one when I'm in the mood for quality over quantity. The boba I got was the rose milk tea which is also my new favorite tasting boba in Boise, which previously was the taro boba at Urban Fox. It is also a bit more pricy than other boba places (except Whale Tea which is outrageously priced), but if it tastes this good it's worth it. All in all if you're ok with waiting and aren't looking for a huge meal this place is great. read more
