Decided to try this spot out! It's ok. I was a bit disappointed with the person that helped me - I ordered Milk Tea without the boba. Yes, you read correctly NO on the boba...allergic to boba. Why go then you're thinking...wanted to try a new place and it's just down the road from my house. I confirmed 3 times with the server that I cannot have boba - allergic to it. So allergic - I will end up in hospital. Well today was my unlucky day - ended up in ER...boba in my drink! Not thrilled. I tried this place out when I first visited Idaho in the summer. It was ridiculously hot and I needed a thirst quencher. I ordered a Vietnamese coffee and was appalled when I saw that it was a powdered mix and not your typical French drip. The drink was watered down and just didn't taste right, even on a scorching hot 100 degree day. The only upside was that the service was good. If I could I would leave no stars. This was awful! The mango boba tasted like grass clippings and the Ube boba tasted like they were trying to cover up the fact that it had spoiled. Stopped by here on the whim on a Monday evening since it's close to home. The menu is a bit limited in terms of drinks, but it's understandable since they just opened. They also have Vietnamese sandwiches (banh mi) and snacks here. The establishment is to-go only as we noticed there's no seating anywhere, which is a bit unfortunate since it'd be nice to sit down and enjoy our drinks and food. Weirdly enough, there were no trash cans so we didn't have a place to toss our straw wrappers. There's two self-service kiosks in addition to the cashier. The service was friendly but a bit slow. We ordered an Original Milk tea with Boba (less sugar), Vietnamese coffee, and Banh Mi Cha Lua. The milk tea was great as it wasn't too sweet and you can really taste the tea flavor. As a Vietnamese person, the Banh Mi Cha Lua was good since the pate and pickled veggies were on point. Unfortunately, I recommend skipping the boba and Vietnamese coffee. The boba was so overcooked to the point where it was just mushy blobs. The Vietnamese coffee was super watered down. All in all, I wasn't too impressed. I get that they just opened, so they're likely smoothing out the kinks until they get a good handle on things. read more

We decided to try this place thinking it was new, as we have never seen it or heard of it even though we drive by it several times a week. Turns out they've been open for almost a year. First impression as we parked in front was that it was closed..storefront is pretty plain, and the lighting inside isn't visible from outside. Plus, there were no customers. Employees said they are rarely busy. Looking at the menu we saw that they use fresh taro and fresh ube with their drinks..considering most of the boba tea places here in Treasure Valley only use powder, that peaked our interest. We ordered the taro iced milk-tea and a Chả Lụa Bahn Mi. The drink was tasty with fresh ingredients. The bahn mi, although smaller than usual bahn mi's and not made with traditional crispy baguette bread, was actually really good! Perfect combo of pork, pate, pickled veggies and jalapeño. And the crispy bread was good. Note to the owner: Considering the area is full of California transplants, this place should really be busy and successful. I think with a good advertising campaign, and maybe a better storefront to make it more visible to people driving by, this place will certainly succeed. I've been here twice and I've been disappointed both times. Flavors are lackluster at best. Vietnamese coffee was done with winco instant coffee and condensed milk. At least they got the condensed milk part right. It wasn't even worth taking another sip. My daughter's mango shake just tasted like condensed milk and not even an essence of mango in it. I asked for a refund because I didn't like it and they said they couldn't refund my coffee so I just took the coffee and left. Don't waste your time with this place. The actual boba here is pretty good! When boba is warm and chewy then you know it's good! I would advise going for a more milky drink rather than a non milk one. Had the strawberry tea and it tasted more like a smoothie with boba. read more

Me and my grand are disappointed about the two drinks we got. First of all the service was not very merry especially two days before Christmas. The drinks we both got were called "Mango oolong" and a milk tea. Nothing special and the total came out to $15, with tip. The staff wasn't very helpful with picking out the drinks and since it was our first time it was like playing roulette. The drinks menu didn't even have any prices or what's in it or sizes. Nothing helpful! So, we ordered our drinks and left (wait time was about 5 minutes at the most so not bad). The tapioca was OK. It was small and really sweet but not a good type of sweet. Overall I have generally thought the drinks were fine, I have been three times and I have been charged different prices for the same thing. All in all, my suggestions are train your employees, and then train them again. Supervise them through several shifts. "I don't know, I just started last week" is not really a great response to product questions. Simplify the menu, I imagine you think it is simple, but "original" doesn't describe anything, nor does Volcano, and the employee should know what these are if they are your most popular. Consider a laminated and detailed menu with descriptions of each drink and their actual price that a customer can use, (without symbols and hieroglyphics that aren't clear if it's included or being tacked on). The person today told me the item I was ordering was a milk tea with no milk (thus interpreting it to be like a creamy oolong, or milky oolong) and then the drink was totally white, and she still said there was no milk in it. Perhaps she meant it was a non-dairy milk (which I would have never ordered) or she truly doesn't know the difference between cow's milk and non-dairy milks, ultimately she needs more guidance and oversight before running the store herself. This is on the owner, not the employee to ensure she can be successful. All in all, it's fine, but as soon as there is competition in close proximity, it will not be a first choice based on my three visits. read more

SOO good! I had no clue this was a special spot. Very happy we tried it out. This will now be one of our families regular spots for sure. This is my daughter's(my 9 year old Boba connoisseur) favorite place to get Boba in Boise and it's in our hood. I'm bummed they seem like they don't get a lot of customers cause I'd hate for them to go away. I personally love the honey ginger and she loves the Taro with butterfly tea. We haven't tried the banhmi yet but it's next on our list. Hopefully more people go it's definitely a hidden gem of a boba place! read more

Food is mid. Costumer service was horrible. Asked for a tarp boba and it was not taro and the boba was so overcooked it was very disappointing. I guess there is a reason why there is no one in there. First of all, the lady working was very quiet and seemed just straight up wrong. The thai tea that they have has too much spice which basically makes it chai and doesn't taste like thai tea at all. the taro was just weird, it didn't taste like taro at all. she said it's cuz it's real, but i don't care if it's real taro should be purple. read more
