We checked the bottle and discovered that the Best Used By date was August 29th, more than two weeks expired. I brought this to the attention of the employee at the counter, but unfortunately, she appeared largely unconcerned. That response was disappointing in itself, especially when dealing with an expired consumable product. Unfortunately, the situation got even worse. After leaving and while driving away, I found a hard foreign object inside my smoothie. I cannot determine whether it was plastic, glass, or another material, but finding an unknown hard object in a beverage is a serious food safety concern. I spent approximately $42 expecting a safe, quality product and a basic level of customer service. Instead, I left extremely disappointed and concerned about the lack of attention given to what could potentially be a serious health and safety issue. I would appreciate having a manager contact me regarding this experience. I strongly recommend that management review the handling and expiration date practices for the energy shots, as well as investigate how a foreign object ended up in my smoothie. This is not about receiving a free smoothie or getting my money back. It is about food safety, quality control, and taking customer concerns seriously. Very disappointing experience.

The toy rotation keeps my kids occupied when we are there and excited to swing in for an amazing coffee (IN A REAL MUG) and my favorite (the one and only) breakfast pizza. Villa Meola has become the safe haven of my mom friends and mine. A refuge of sorts where our kids can be kids and we can breath easy as we are reminded they have not just a right to be in the public, but are wanted there. The toys are so creatively organized with wall hangings and baskets. Recently, we have been invited to a birthday celebration and even had a small one of our own and Villa Meola hung a simple banner that really made us feel so welcome. They are getting so inventive with both the food and drink while sticking to their strict clean and simple/ minimal ingredient food standards with their authentic Italian tastes. Midnight Taco has moved in which creates a very unique and fun curation of cultures and families but it's fun! Still just so grateful for a not so hidden gem to enjoy.
