I love this place! It's healthy and has perfect portion sizes plus there is something for the whole family. The tea is also amazing!

Food: 3/5 Thai Coconut Chicken Bowl: 2.5/5 I ordered a base of sweet potatoes and rice with shrimp and chicken as the protein. The sauce and flavor was spot on. Even the protein was delicious and fresh. However, the sweet potatoes were not it. They were hard and dicey. Especially with sweet potatoes, they have to be fully cooked to be appreciated. These were still raw and seriously downgraded an otherwise delicious meal. Fortunately, I was distracted by catching up with my friend. Otherwise, I would have asked for them to remake my dish correctly. Service: 5/5 The cashier was quick and our food did not take long to make. Ambience: 5/5 Although it was quiet, the tables were clean and the dining area is trendy with water cups and takeout containers readily available. Overall, the sweet potatoes ruined the dish for me. Don't order sweet potatoes as a base for a bowl.

I've ordered here once before, but it had been some time since I was last here. I had an appointment nearby and needed to grab lunch on my way back to the office. I ordered a Moroccan Turkey sandwich with their seasonal lemonade (dragonfruit basil for $1!!). They have a pick-up station in the back of their building (west end) where your order is packaged with your name. I was able to get my items and my drink and head out. The sandwich was SO GOOD. It was turkey, avocado, roasted red pepper, red grape, cucumber, house greens, yogurt sauce, red wine vinaigrette, and multi-grain bread I would order that again and again if I worked closer to this location. The dragonfruit lemonade was also very good and was not overly sour, but instead nice and refreshing!

Years back, I had no clue what açaí was until I had my first ever Açaí Bowl at an Original ChopShop. Now I make them at home all the time. Original ChopShop is a fast-casual restaurant that has a menu that features protein bowls, salads, sandwiches, fresh juice, and breakfast items that are made from scratch. Their food not only tastes good, it makes you feel good. Original ChopShop has locations in a few states and we are lucky to have a number of them here. I recently stopped by this location and enjoyed the cleanliness and friendly staff at this restaurant. I love how comfy the seating is here. I ordered the Spicy Korean Steak Bowl and their seasonal Strawberry Ginger Lemonade. I also added an Espresso Cookie and enjoyed everything I ate. Original ChopShop is always a solid choice for me when I come here. In case you were wondering, the "chop" portion in the name ChopShop refers to how they handle their vegetables. The vegetables that they use like carrots, kale and cucumbers are chopped and then pressed into juices, placed into bowls, and packed into sandwiches and wraps.

Green Curry Tofu Bowl (with Brown Rice and Sweet Potato Hash)

Haven't been to a ChopShop in a while, but came here with my partner and his dad a few weeks ago. I absolutely love this location with all its natural lighting, the cute flowers on every table, and the nice outdoor patio. Plus, it's got tons of parking, which makes it even more stress-free! We ordered at the kiosks, which was helpful for thinking through customizations (I always get flustered when someone asks me a question that I wasn't prepared to answer), and the food came out quickly and the staff was super nice when they brought our food to us (I'm impressed how quickly they found us given that all they had was the number sign on our table). I wanted something a little more substantial so I got the Green Curry Tofu bowl with Brown Rice and Sweet Potato Hash. It had scallions, sesame seeds, cilantro, sugar snap peas, and just this really delicious green curry sauce. I was worried at first with how little sauce there was, but the sauce is so potent that just a little bit goes a long way. The tofu was well crisped, and the sweet potato hash had its own seasoning (maybe with paprika and cumin?) but it paired nicely with the green curry flavors. All in all a great experience. I'm glad I branched out from their salad, because this bowl was warm and wholesome.

I've visited this ChopShop a couple times. It's located in the Village Square at Dana Park. Parking is plentiful. This shop is bright, clean, and has a huge dining room towards the back as well as big patio. The staff here is always warm and welcoming. ChopShop is my go-to when I want a healthy fast casual option. ChopShop offers sandwiches, salads, bowls, juices, and more... I've tried a couple of different bowls from different location, and almost always end up with the green curry tofu. It comes with green onion, sesame seed, cilantro, sugar snap pea. Some days I get it with the Forbidden Rice and some days I get it with brown rice. It's delicious either way. The green curry sauce is flavorful and I can't get enough! It's so good. The juices and fruit bowls are fresh and tasty. I either get the cool down with watermelon, pineapple, apple, lime, and ginger or the slim squeeze with pear, strawberry, orange, apple, kiwi, and lemon. So refreshing! My husband got an acai bowl on our last visit and loved it. We'll be back soon!

Really fresh food. Drinks - coffee, tea, fresh lemonades, protein shakes and fresh juices Food - various salads, rice bowls, wraps and sandwiches Fast casual, order at the counter and food delivered to your table. I've been to several locations, Chandler, Tempe, this one on Val Vista Dr in Gilbert, and Queen Creek. Service and quality have been consistent with each.

    Kale Caesar

I met a friend for dinner as this was one of their favorite local places for a quick bite. This spot is located in a shopping complex that is easily accessible from the freeway and has ample parking. Inside is spacious and reminds me of a Panera Bread vibe, quiet and cozy. It was the night before a half marathon, so I was looking for a somewhat lighter option to avoid anything too heavy before bed. Everything on the menu sounded delicious and after scouring it for a solid 5 minutes I finally landed on the kale Caesar salad. The girl taking my order was very patient with me, which I appreciated not feeling rushed. I ended up taking most of it to-go and it held up well, even for lunch the next day! I'm admittedly not a huge kale fan, but it really worked well in this salad. The mix of romaine, kale, tomato, golden raisins and corn was a light and flavorful bite! I always ask for the dressing on the side as sometimes the Caesar is off to me, but their version was absolutely delicious! It was creamy, but had a brightness to it that helped cut through the heaviness of a traditional Caesar dressing. The croutons were delicious as well! I would absolutely go back the next time I'm in the greater Phoenix area and try more of the menu items!

Zoom in. Floor is extremely dirty.

Staff were pleasant, food was ok but lost my appetite and couldn't finish my food because the floor throughout the entire restaurant was filthy. I don't just mean a few crumbs, I mean food, mud, dirt. I was there at 9:30 am on a Saturday morning. Management, please stress the importance to your staff to clean. Zoom in n on photo.

Food was good, although it seemed like they gave me the smallest piece and the only reason I didn't take a picture was because they gave a decent amount of mashed potatoes and Mac n cheese, and it was cooked medium like I asked. I went to dessert - ate a bite and thought the muffin was tasty so took another bite and felt a crunch and pulled out a small piece of stringy plastic. I looked at the muffin and there was a piece sticking out so I pulled it out and was deterred in eating the muffin. Today is my birthday so it's obnoxious I wasted it here. Starting off, the onions weren't soggy by any means which I love in a good ring, batter wasn't the majority of the ring which is also a great sign, and lastly the crunch was very nice with them coming out fresh. My son had ordered food from here as takeout last year. The food taste was interesting, though, I really like the cheese dip for the pretzel bites. The bites were pretty big. Lots of tables at this location, a bit warm. But our party of 14 was easily accommodated. Our daughter chose this place and it was quite loud. My husband and I are quiet people, so if we were to choose again, probably not here because of the loudness and all the TVs all over the place. But for those who like it loud, TVs and do not mind the prices on the menu, have at it. I don't remember our server's name. If she told us, I couldn't hear what she said. She was alright. Honestly, I had a hard time hearing even my son who sat next to me, and hearing my sister who sat one seat over in front of me, I couldn't hear what she was saying. Loudness is an issue for me and I do not have hearing issues. Our bill with tip came to over $700+. That was the most expensive lunch we've ever spent for our party of 14. Typically we're in the $400-500 range. But it was a special occasion. My husband and son got the 36 hr ribs. My husband really loved them. My son said it was okay. I didn't ask my brother and BIL who also got the same dish. I know my BIL was unhappy that he didn't get the side he requested and when they gave it to him (asparagus, I think), it was cold and he wasn't pleased about this. I got the hub burger and it was okay. There was a lot on the burger, but the patty itself, didn't have that much flavor. Some of the "Starters" or appetizers things were salted too much, but the burger did not taste like it had any salt. I had eaten too many starters so when my food came, I wasn't very hungry and took most of it home and ate for dinner another night. My husband and son do not like coleslaw and I ate theirs. THIS I really liked and tasted much better than KFC. I loved the sweetness and that the cabbage was shredded bigger than KFC. The pretzel bites were good. We got wings, and they were so-so. The roasted brussel sprouts were too salty. The deviled eggs were okay, but pricey for 2.5 eggs, which I do pay at Trader Joe's for organic free range pasturized eggs I could've gotten over 2 dozens. But, yes, I pay for the service and ambiance. I really thought there would be more than 5 halves for the deviled eggs. We got the nachos and they were okay. The melted cheese sauce was the best part. My mom got the fish and chips and she seemed to pick at it. She didn't want to take home, so it must not have been that good because she almost always takes a doggy bag home. My sister had the salmon and it was in a huge bowl and didn't look to be that much food. It was pricey. One of my SILs got something I didn't recognize and she said it was okay. No one I could tell was over the moon with the taste of the food and I heard the word "interesting" quite a bit. It's not that it tasted bad, but it didn't really taste good good. You know what I mean? I did bring a special order cake I got at Nothing Bundt Cakes in Gilbert. I asked Culinary Dropout if we could borrow a cake cutter. They didn't have one. Weird. This was a Red Velvet cake and this was absolutely divine. It was moist. The frosting was some sort of yummy cream cheese frosting. The cake was perfectly sized for our party of 14. The cake was the best part of our meal and it didn't come from Culinary Dropout. I would pay this much for a meal at Roy's for lunch for this sized party, but alas, all the Roy's in the valley are closed down. So sad. I'm not saying this place is bad or the food tastes bad. It's okay and pricey. If the food was great or amazing, we don't mind pricey. We have paid over $1K for meals for our big party, and happily do so when the food is equivalent to the price.
