    Saumon chic & béné doré
    Alice L.

Cute French restaurant ! I ordered the Saumon chic which was homemade whiskey smoked salmon with maple syrup and green pepper from Madagascar. It was served with homemade bread, poached eggs, fragrant sour cream combava, salad and potatoes. I also ordered the Béné doré which was Benedict eggs with holland sauce, fruits, bacon and potatoes. Overall the brunch was really tasty, I enjoyed the food and the cozy ambiance. Would totally recommend.

Great place for a good, cozy and tasty brunch. The salmon with pouched eggs is a must. Do not forget the holandaise cream. It's worth it. Coffee is really good.

Great restaurant for brunch! The Benedict eggs were amazing as well as the potatoes! The crepe was good.

Brunch brunch brunch at tsak tsak is special and authentic. Malaghese cooking fusion french - great for a lazy Sunday. Cute decor and beautiful terrace that's shaded. The prices are great and the food even better!

Was in Montreal for a few days and this by far has been the best meal we had. Better than Schwartz, poutine, Ramados, etc. Their breakfast was delicious, very balanced and didn't left us feeling bloated. Would highly recommend this brunch spot to anyone traveling to Montreal.

Homemade smoked salmon with candied tomato on a sesame bagel, roasted potato and salad with a light vinegrette

My Airbnb host highly recommended this restaurant and it did not disappoint! My friend and I went around 1:30 for a quiet lunch after taking an early flight in from Chicago. What a welcome treat! There was only one other couple there and the customer service was great. The menu came on a clipboard with the specials. We both ended up selecting the house-cured salmon with candied tomato on an everything bagel, a side salad that was lightly dressed with a vinagrette, and these roasted potatoes that were seasoned with some unique spices. I couldn't figure out quite what it was, but all I can say that everything was demolished and nothing was left on my plate or my friend's. The hot chocolate was rich and creamy without being overly sweet and it was a great addition to my breakfast. A place that I would definitely return to.

We were looking for a place for brunch on a Saturday morning and walked by this place. Its a small restaurant in the neighbourhood with limited seating inside but has a terrasse outside. I had the bene doré which was good and tasty. Portions were just right. Service was a bit slow, but the restaurant was slowly getting packed as we waited for our order. All in all a solid choice for brunch.

But before even checking in, we had to walk through Bar George ~ and instantly knew we wanted to eat there. We were lucky enough to grab a last-minute reservation, and Julien took a good care of us throughout the evening. His recommendation of the Beef Wellington was spot on (it's already one of our favorite dishes), but this was hands down the best we've ever had. I ordered the lobster risotto, which was excellent with just the right amount of spice. My son had the 10 oz striploin steak with homemade fries (chips), and it was absolutely delicious. I also loved the Canadian touch of coarse salt on the steak, plus the option to choose between Béarnaise or peppercorn sauce. Julien also mentioned their pastry chef placed second in a NY competition, and the desserts absolutely lived up to that reputation. We tried the pineapple and coconut pavlova and the "lick me hazelnut" ~ both beautifully presented and incredibly delicious. We also ordered iced coffee and a latte, and noticed something interesting: this was the second place where we found Canadian coffee to be smooth and mild ~ such a nice change from the often bitter, over-roasted American coffee. Yes, dinner was a bit steep ($300+), but it was worth every penny. Between the rich history, stunning design, outstanding service, and unique cuisine, I would highly recommend Bar George. I would absolutely love to come back!!

We went here during the week right when they opened so no line but based on other reviews, this place gets busy and does not take reservations so be aware. Service was great, space was open, light and welcoming and the food, my god the food!! Im a lover of all things fungi so when I saw mushroom toast on the menu, I couldn't consider anything else. The portions were huge and the mushroom toast was one of the best brunch meals I've had in a long time. A variety of mushrooms along with delicious whipped feta , this meal was the perfect way to kick off our visit to Montreal! They also have a lovely array of coffee drinks as well.

The chimichurri mayo , apple slaw, and super crispy chicken were utter perfection. Seriously, you have to try this place no matter the wait. Also had the ricotta pancakes - light airy and fluffy with an addicting brown butter syrup. The lemon cream was a perfect light compliment. Also one of the best pancake dishes I've ever had. Lastly the extras... chai tea latte, fresh OJ, and even the chocolate chip cookie (which has candied pecans inside!) were top notch. Not saying I would fly to Montreal just to eat here, but I would fly to Montreal just to eat here.
