Iced Lychee Green Tea with Crystal Pearl & Milk Foam 贵妃荔枝
Theresa L.

We stopped by on Saturday. Drinks and snacks were delicious, and different than any other Boba places we've visited. My husband and daughter requested Thai teas (one with boba) and I got a Lychee green tea (with crystal pearls and a salty milk foam on top). Loved the drinks and the waffles were a fun treat. There was plenty of space in the cafe to meet up for a treat. Service was attentive - drinks were out fast, food took a minute but was worth a few minute wait. Will be back soon!

Stopped by Tsaocaa for bubble tea after seeing a movie at the Oriental theatre next door. They were pretty standard drinks. There's a big gap between 30% and 50% sweetness. 30% was just enough for me (and that's coming from someone with a sweet tooth!) I got the taro green tea blended with oat milk, but I preferred my partner's passion fruit tea. Super cute interior and conveniently located.

Watermelon foam cheese drink. Refreshing for a hot summer day. Nothing special. The facility needed a little cleaning as it looked like it had been mobbed hours before but the store has just opened? Pro tip: Close to Black Cat Alley- take your drink and mosey around.

It's a great spot to enjoy your bubble tea, it has a lot of spots to sit, and many drink options. I love their drinks, and their to-go bag design, it is very cool! The bubble waffle is just okay, it tastes like a normal waffle, not like the Hong Kong waffles that I have tried from other countries. Overall is a good bubble tea spot!

Delicious drinks! The pineapple and passion fruit green tea with jelly was so refreshing. Signature milk tea was good, but I would have preferred more tea to milk ratio. Boba was nice and chewy. It smelled so good of fried chicken as well, so would like to come back and try that!

The place is so cool. I literally watched a movie next door at the oriental theatre and noticed a no wait line. My crew dashed in pronto but not before making sure I ordered first. I ordered brown sugar milk tea w. Bubble blended. The cashier warned us they have a dedicated menu for blended so basically she couldn't guarantee the same taste as not blended. It was delicious!!! We will be back soon!!!! Love the east side of Mil Town.

Purple potato milk tea

Located next to the Oriental Theater, Tsaocaa is the perfect spot for a bubble tea and maybe a snack. The window lures you in with popular selections from the fairly extensive menu. There's a selection of teas and smoothies and also fried chicken and bubble waffles. The space is clean and there's a seating area where you can settle for awhile. I've taken a book before and lingered with my drink. You order at the counter and they call out your number when it's ready. I was impressed with the purple potato milk tea which was the first thing I tried. There were real chunks of purple potato and purple rice and I think some red beans. There was a lot going on but the result was harmonious and a little surprising. I also liked that you can choose your level of sweetness. I prefer my drinks lightly sweetened. I thought the tea was still plenty sweet. I came back the next day and got the same thing because I kept thinking about it, but I have also tried the brown sugar black tea with bubble and it was good too. I have not tried any of the food yet but it seems like the kind of things that would complement the tea and hit the spot after a trip to the movies or any of the other activities in the area.

Tsaocaa is a hidden gem. It's just up the street from a lot of good businesses. The place is super clean and they open promptly at 12:00 PM. Ordering is super easy. There's a touch pad that you can order on. The food came out super quick. I had to let my chicken sandwich cool because I definitely almost burned my mouth. The pineapple green tea was a nice choice for me. In terms of appearance, I was surprised to see more than my boba floating around but I enjoyed having lil pineapple chews in my drink. I'm not sure what the white strips were but the drink was good.

Chicken Sandwich

I ordered the chicken sandwich with fries and was pretty disappointed. The breading on the chicken was soggy, and the meat itself seemed like leftover scraps--gristly, fatty, and lacking flavor. Definitely not what I was expecting. Hoping it was just an off day, but unfortunately, this one missed the mark. With that being said, the strawberry milk green tea with strawberry Boba was amazing !

A new boba + Korean Fried Chicken + Hong Kong style egg waffles place! Owners are Chinese and they know how to do KFC and egg waffles right haha. The packaging is so cute! We got hot and spicy and soy garlic (classic KFC flavors) for fried chicken and they were delicious. We got delivery so there was like a 40-min prep + drive from fresh and hot. Still very good and we could taste the crispy skins! So that really meant sth. My Hong Kong style matcha egg waffles and 0% sugar lactose free purple potato milk swirl were also very delicious. Highly recommend the 0% sugar purple potato milk swirl - rich, creamy, fresh & full of good purple potato flavor! The matcha egg waffles - you have to eat them when they are hot so that they remain crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside! But still, I like the flavor and because I am actually from that area, I can tell it's pretty authentic even though the delivered ones that I got cooled down already. Teas: Hubby reported that the signature Ruby black milk tea with boba was also pretty good. The tapioca was chewy and fresh! I took a sip and agreed! Sakura milk tea: we were both curious about what Sakura (aka cherry blossom in Japanese) could taste like. It turned out to be like light floral green tea with a slight hint of strawberry. We liked it! Rose oolong milk tea: Rich and full of rose aroma. Also a good tea to choose!

Taro Milk Tea

I've been here twice this week. Their taro milk is delicious and they don't use powder--it's real taro. The drink is not artificially sweet, it's perfectly balanced with the milk and the chewy boba. I noticed the boba is lighter in color than other places, so I was expecting the consistency to be off-but it was pleasantly chewy and kept it's consistency as I enjoyed my drink. I hate when it's over cooked and gets soggy before you finish your drink, and again, it was not a concern here. The only reason I deducted a star was it is pretty oily in there. I know they make fried chicken sandwiches however, the scent lingers and sticks to you. Both times I've been in, I've come out smelling like the chicken/oil? It really penetrates your clothing, and I'm wondering if it's a ventilation issue? Again, it doesn't affect the taste of their boba, but it made for a slightly unpleasant experience sitting inside. I would've stepped outside but it was late and there was a lot of police activity outside. I brought someone with me and they also mentioned the lack of ventilation in the building. Overall, drop in for boba. Consider stepping out or going for a stroll if you have mind the smell.

Mango slush yogurt with purple rice and a mango green milk tea with mango boba
Brooke I.

Was craving good boba, and I definitely found it. I will 100% be back to try the chicken. Orders: Mango slush yogurt with purple rice: I was so excited to see purple rice in the topping menu! The yogurt flavor had just the right amount of tartness with a strong mango flavor. I also think there was agar boba inside it, which was a nice surprise. This will likely be my go to order here. No need to try anything else. Mango green milk tea with mango boba 0% sugar: my partner ordered this one. The tea was delicious, but she could have done without the mango boba (fluid filled popping boba). We'll order again without it next time. Service was great. Super friendly staff and quick to get your order out. Very happy with the whole experience! UPDATE (yelp wouldn't let me write another review since I was here yesterday): the chicken is delicious!! Each piece is THICK. Super crispy and they give you the sauce on the side so you can control your flavor. 10/10 would order again. Also came back for more mango yogurt slush drink. This time without the crystal boba. The large pieces of fresh mango were just as good as yesterday. Yum!

Signature Ruby Black Milk Tea w/ bubble

This is my first time hearing about them, but apparently Tsaocaa has 50+ locations. We just happened to walk by, so I decided to order a drink. I went with their Signature Ruby Black Milk Tea w/ bubble. The tea flavor wasn't too strong. They also sell fried chicken here.

Brown sugar tea was delicious glad Milwaukee finally has a quality boba spot. Pricing js fair for the quality of the drinks too.

I'm not a bubble tea expert by any means, but this is by far the best I've had, and is very reasonably priced considering the quality.

We came after visiting one of the nearby breweries. We were seated right away at the bar. I had a glass of the Black River sake and my boyfriend tried the Blossom of Peace. His was much sweeter and I was very happy with mine. They weren't served in traditional sake cups, just in regular wine glasses but this was good with me as they were a normal sized wine pour. They had a special for Bluefin Tuna. We shared the Nigiri trio by cutting each piece in half. My favorites were the two fattier cuts ( otoro, and chutoro ) I remember at this point we wished we had ordered another appetizer since the restaurant was busy and our main sushi rolls took a bit of time to arrive. We decided next time we would at least get the edamame in between plates. The rolls we ordered were the Ponzu Jello and Riverwest. The Riverwest description listed a smoky miso mayo which I did not notice a different from regular flavored mayo on a roll. The Ponzu Jello was unique and worth trying! The rolls were fat and very filling so we did not need to order more than two! I think we both agreed that the Riverwest roll was our favorite of the two. After that we noticed there was a special for some premium sake, so we ordered the G Joy. Very delicious, easy to drink and a perfect size to share. I will add this restaurant to my places to visit again!

On the weekends, they had a great sashimi platter, as well. The ambiance is cute and I love the paintings around the restaurant. Always packed, so get there early at 4:30pm when they open.
